I have a 2012 C3 Picasso 1.6 diesel 110 HP 6 speed exclusive spec and it is really really very good. I have had it for over 3 years with no problems at all. It does around 60 miles to the gallon on the motorway. The back seats slide forward and back so you can have a bigger boot. I do recommend to any owners of the 1.6 diesel version to change the oil at least every 10,000 miles with the correct C2 spec oil as one problem with the engine is the oil pipe that feeds the turbo has a mesh filter that can get clogged if you don't change the oil regularly and it can damage the turbo.
I've daily drove one of these since passing my test 8 months ago, so far done 20,000 miles and she's now sitting on 165K on the clock. Can't lie, I do rag her around a bit 😂but since owning, I've had no mechanical issues with the car. Brilliant motor 👍
Are you coming to bed? No, I'm sleeping in the passenger seat of the Picasso in the driveway! Bye! 😂 I really like it of course I remember they sold well during my stint at Citroën! Makes you want to take your family and friends hiking in Ingleton. Going from 1st to reverse with the porridge like gearbox and asking your passangers to keep their head down so you can back up, dampening the otherwise convivial atmosphere. Eventually you have to admit to your friends you dont know the area as well as you said, and have no idea where the hiking trail starts! 😂 The bosses C6 was the best, though. Loved that and still want one
Nice review. We've had ours for 6 years now. 1.6 hi 90. Bought on 50k, currently on 130k. Only problem other than wear and tear stuff was electric steering ECU failed, other than that it's dead reliable. They're really cheap now. I've seen another one locally for sale with the glass roof and I'm really tempted.
Cadwell Park & Donington Park?🤔 My cousin in the motor trade used to refer to these as 'Noddy Wagons'! 😀 At the time I tended to agree with him as I thought the look was awful. However, compared with the droves of hideous and bulbous modern 'things', this Citroen really doesn't look too bad! Oh la la, vive la difference, le singe est dans l'arbre etc. 😁
Quirky things Citroens only one I've had was a BX aGTi , loved it, oh and a AXGT pocket rocket, hate the picasso reminds me of a pigs arse from the rear.
The complete car review, taking both left and right turns. People would drive better if they brought back glass. This has the full greenhouse design that you can actually see out of. Lots now are based on the submarine without even so much as a porthole.
I drove one of these, and I like my french cars but not all of them. I've also driven an original picasso and I found both, meh, drivable... I admit one was an unloved piece of shit and the C3 Picasso had utterly stupid 17" alloys and they are much to modern to my taste 😅
I think the success of French cars in comparison to British cars is their sense of purpose. French cars are designed to be cheap because French people don't feel the need express their status, real or imagined, through their cars like we do. A car is a machine to get you and your stuff to where you want to go and back. And in France the place where you want to go is likely to be further than it is in the UK because France is much bigger. And French people like being comfy so you get a nice squidgy seat, soft suspension and small wheels. My father was a Renault fan and for a time had a 25 Monaco which was wonderfully comfortable, the seats were more like leather bean bags than car seats. They also understand that driving a slow car enthusiastically is more fun than driving a fast car slowly. Oh, and in the cities they touch park, which is why not being able to see where the front of your Citroen ends and someone else's begins is not that important. French cars are made for French people in France and for me that's why they're successful, they have focus and purpose. Contrast this with Britain where even people carriers have to be sporty, many people use their cars to display how important and successful they want us to think they are and despite having roads that compare unfavourabky to the roads on the Moon we want rock hard suspension, sports seats and huge fragile alloys. I suppose if Rover were around today making the car that British people wanted it would be an SUV thing made out of wood with an interior like the Groucho club, no suspension and 24 inch alloys. A walnut Audi Q5 S Line.
Spot on that windy . I did a lot of reading about this car before I bought it. I wanted a car to carry the kids, a van for tip runs, a cruiser for munching Miles comfortably and, as Paul refers to it as a tent, a small camper when I go to the track camping(thus why he mentioned it) I've used it as a camper van a few times and it's comfortable, quiet and warm. As Paul mentioned, the front seat of this version (the exclusive) does indeed fold flat giving as massive sleeping bay. The other spec ones dont have this feature. The car is very comfortable to drive. I did a trip from Stirling Scotland to John O Groats and back to Stirling last year and was as fresh getting out as getting in 10 hrs later. It's a brilliant car that can get 64mpg out of it at 70mph (A9 Stirling to Inverness) with plenty of space within to feel safe. It's also very airy and visibility is superb. Just as a note #projectnigel, my works 2018 ford connect van has a similar impossible reach to the windscreen. Overall me and my family love this car and have really enjoyed the 4 yrs I've owned it. I've no intentions of getting rid of it either. It's too useful.
Top notch review on my car Paul, thank you

Very interesting review. Not my favourite car but some interesting points 😂😂
Great car review
The cars not offensive, well done Citroen.
A good review, I think i find myself on the Citroen spectrum after owning a C15 van back in the 00s.
Feliz año Paul,
Visibility is top notch on Picasso's
Oh 💩 Now I want a C3 Picasso😅

Good choices!

I had a C2 Citroen, in 2000. Didn't like the car and the garage dealership. Never bought a Citroen again.
It’s magic roundabout van ask Steve
Ok car paul 👍👍👍👏👏👏

I'd prefer all the stalks to making a mess of the steering wheel. Next time, show us the seat down bed, and the boot up (please)
Fair enough
@@ProjectNigel Good man 😀
I had some unnecessary punch at a party recently! Burp!
If you like style/less cars, go ahead & buy one.
I liked the Citroen C6 though, an amazing looking car
Have you driven a c3 @casualagent7250 ?
Picasso's paintings are pants
