In the original manga, there's a side story where Frieren indeed found a grimoire on the chest that analyzed as mimic. That happen on her days while travelling with Himmel. And that one grimoire is the one which producing shaved ice. That shaved ice scene already shown up in early episode. That's why from then on she always open any mimic she encountered. Let's just say she's addicted to gacha.
Regarding your confusion on Methode’s attempt to restrain Frieren. She mentioned that it should generally work unless the mana difference is too great. Frieren is always restraining her mana so Methode can’t understand why her hug magic is not working.
I'm like Frieren when I game, an absolute loot goblin. Idc if something is obviously a trap, I'm looking anyway 😂I'm also like Himmel though in that I have to explore everywhere. I take forever when gaming lol Spiegel means mirror in German, so a great pick for a name of this monster! Ubel got a really good read on Land in that moment lol I love how Methode analyzed Frieren and was like nah no shot, even if the copy has a mind it wouldn't matter, it wouldn't work 😂
I enjoy your reactions every time. This chapter, which is the finale of Season 1, contains important elements for the next season. So please pay attention to the flashback scenes and the conversations of the main characters.
Y'all probably have this knowledge already, but 'w' in German is 'v', 'i' by itself is 'ee''. So Wirbel is pronounced "veerbel". 'E' is usually like a hard "A". So that's why Fern is "fairn". It almost sounds like 2 syllables, but that's because 'r' is rolled slightly. It's not really consistent, however. Sense is practically the same, sounding in-between itself and 'sensei'. It's good to hear that at least one of you is re-watching this again. It's such a different experience a 2nd time because of what you know, how many other details you pick up as well as those "gut-punch in the feels" moments that hit harder.
man i love that Ubel interaction, she's so sly and i love her :D also how unlucky are these applicants, taking the exam the same year a legendary 1000+ years old mage randomly decides to take it, and not only that, they run into a test that copies her, making her an enemy. That's some really shit luck 🤣

I love how pretty much no one else has dungeon experience because HImmel's party cleared them all.

That "oouuuuu!!!" At the end, it made me laugh 😂
It's funny and amazing that almost everyone I've seen had the same idea to shove a mimic in the room. 😂😂😂
5:39 the guy who goes in by himself is voiced by Taito Ban who voiced Sung Jin-Woo in Solo Leveling
Ironic

There was a leak a week or two ago, it’s still officially unconfirmed, but apparently Frieren season 2 is in production, according to the leak

Funny how Frieren and Fern out here getting 100% completion while everyone is fighting “themselves”
I wish fern was my mom
Didn’t peg you for an anime fan John, but glad you’re liking FRIEREN! The manga is amazing and season 2 was just confirmed 🎉
How dare you judge me Tory!! Lol nah I love it and Frieren is one of my fav's now - John
@@JerzeyBoyz lmao no judgment here 😂 I’m a huge anime fan these days, didn’t realize you had a reaction channel!
@@JerzeyBoyz also surprised you called me Tory and not “terry potter”
😂😂
The only thing missing is the dark souls healthbar under the replica from frieren.
How could you cut out the part when Fern gets envy at Methode for hugging Frieren?!?! This is just cruel.... :(
haha sorry!! Wish I could leave it all in, but sacrifices must be made for copyright lol - John
Serie is pronounced, more or less, zair-ee-eh.
