Been using a Featherlite flatbed aluminum trailer for over 20 years with no issues. I like being able to walk on the trailer when loading and unloading. I prefer 3 inch PVC for bunks. Just heat the ends with a heat gun and flatten them. This gives a place to bolt them down and they don't roll.
Do you have a link to the rubber mats you used? Also are you just using nails to hold the center 2x12 in between the bunks? Also What size U bolts are you using to hold down the winch assembly?
we got the rubber from a refrigeration supply house. Its just a vibration pad. Nothing special just rubber mat. We used long outdoor rated deck screws.the u bolts we used for the sxr has 3/8 the superjet has 5/16 but the 5/16 would be plenty good the weakest point is still gonna be the aluminum decking.

@@Floatsorrolls1 Yeah I was close to picking an SXR 1100 in Miami, but the money wasn't quite right. Helping a buddy rebuild a ZXI 1100 right now as well, and the other buddy got a superjet literally yesterday but the trailer he has needs some work.
Here is the part 2 video of my jetski trailer build it goes over the kawi sxr on center measurement and on center measurement in general. alot of good updates to the finished product. ua-cam.com/video/Gcp2nwBC9uY/v-deo.htmlsi=KUIaZ-Aq1xVFVWkN For quick access kawi sxr On center measurement is 11.5” but do think the video might be helpful!
