Something I've not seen point out, Chrisjen is saying "I practice a lot when I'm alone"... She is way more alone, now that Arjun is dead and she's stuck on the front lines.

Remember from last season when Holden tells Fred that every time he goes through the Rings, he sees them and each time they get madder. An easy way to differentiate between the two; Blue = Proto-Molecule, Builders. Red = The Ring Gate Entities.
I think a thing people don't get about the Naomi/Clarissa dynamic is that Naomi has a history with someone dedicated to a cause and willing to use mass violence - Marco. Clarissa blew up an entire ship in an effort to destroy Holden. She used a news crew to hack the Roci as part of it. Just like Marco used Naomi's code to destroy the ship on Lina and almost destroy the Roci. For Naomi, Clarissa is in the same box as Marco and Filip. That's ultimately the source of her anger. And Clarissa choosing a different path is in some ways worse because two people she loves have not. I don't know if Dominique Tipper would agree with all that, but that's what I get from her performance. And it differs from the book. In the book Naomi accepts Clarissa first while Holden is the slow one. Here it seems to be the reverse which makes more sense to me.
You are forgetting that Clarissa was trying to kill Naomi when she came looking for Holden on the Roci in season 3. Only Anna's intervention saved Noami from getting killed. So Naomi's distrust of Clarissa is likely much more personal than the reasons you gave. Though I'm not discounting those reasons as playing a part in that either.
Carly, you mentioned the red lighting on the Roci as the color of impending doom. The moment you mentioned it, the lighting turned blue and Holden shouted, "They saw us!" On Martian war vessels, the color of normal operations is red, but battle lighting is blue. That's been consistent all along, when Roci detects a combat condition, she turns the lighting blue.
Makes sense, now that you pointed that out, since the Martians traditionally call their enemies "the blues." I hadn't noticed that but it's a great little detail.

I didn't think that Filip was power-hungry when he killed his friend, I thought, 'cause he'd been drinking a lot and having random sex and shirking his responsibilities (it seemed) that maybe what Naomi had said to him was sinking in. That he doesn't feel the weight of what he's done (helping kill billions of innocents) but he will eventually. I think he's feeling it and is trying to distract himself from the guilt of it and is becoming reckless. It felt that way 'cause he was not at all happy when his friend was talking him up to the ladies about him killing a lot of Earthers and he got up and walked away.
Great reaction Carly! You're right about Chrisjen! The guilt trip was needed! And yes she is our Queen and we do love her for it! Marco always seems to be a step ahead. But capturing that ship from him was huge! I think it was funny as hell when you said you didn't like Marco's hair like that, just pisses you off! About the ships going through the ring and they disappear from that red stuff! Remember in season 4 everytime Holden transit through a ring he saw something and he told Fred Johnson about it in the beginning of season 5. Holden said what he saw had something to do with what killed the ring builders. And every time they use the ring gates he believes it's making them angry. Can't wait for the next one!
Chrisjen's introspection gets pushed to the sidelines because there's so much happening elsewhere, but her journey is one of the most fascinating ones. She's lost a lot and she played a role in it (Charanpal, Arjun, and her political career in general) that's impossible to ignore. Monica plays another interesting role here because though she had said it to Bobby, Chrisjen needed to realize she's not a queen and that she doesn't have subjects. Now we have to see if and what will Monica deliver.
