The smile at the end of the song says it all. Led Zeppelin enjoyed themselves and the audience could sense it. Plant's ramblings between songs are part of the experience.
Love this version with the little bit of You Shook Me thrown in at the end. Plant's performance on this song so fantastic and love his "plantations" as they are called in between songs. There is some absolute clangers out there...so funny. And Jimmy....well what can you say. Masterful and mysterious as always taking us to the brink of delirium. Bonzo and JPJ killing it. 🤘
Yes this is my favorite version of it too, at the end you can tell Plant is teasing Page, on when he’ll end it. Page’s playing is even better on this night, this version & MSG Since I’ve Been Loving You, my two favorite lives.
Wow, of all the Zep song performances, I would trade a lot--money included--to have been THERE for THIS song on the night you mention (previous). Plant's charisma at the slow, molten, bloozy start was off the chart! M-m-m-m-m-m-m-MESMERIZED! Glad YOU got to see it, anyhow! The REAL trading would be done for a vid of them performing the STUDIO version!!! OMG, what FIRE to have been there for THAT!!
Most definitely prefer the 25 May version. Love the bluesy finish at the end with Plant, and he sneaks in a bit of Elvis sound at the end. Although his voice is spent, it's so raw and I love it. As great as TSRTS movie was, this whole performance is just raw and gritty and I love it.
Still on my zoom call but I love the live chats. Sorry I missed most of it today but will watch the videos as soon as I can devote all my attention to them. 😊💕💕💕💕
Thanks for the incredible video. I came late to the party, had to put my sailing shoes on. This song has to have been inspired by Black Blues, I can feel it. I really love your deep dive. Peace!
Great reaction I love this song! Bonham was utilizing the "if I can say it, I can play it method" which he used a lot if not all the time while he was playing. Looks goofy but really helps a drummer create a pocket and stay in it.
It doesn’t get much better than Robert Plants smile at Jimmy Page at the end of IMTOD. This has always been one of my favorite songs. They do the blues so damn good. That’s why I hate when they are put into the the heavy metal genre NO!!! Zeppelin cannot be put into any single genre as they did it all. Something for everyone. Growing up & listening to Zeppelin in real time we couldn’t wait for the next album or the next song just to hear what they had come up with. It was like Christmas every time they came out with something new 🎁 I love how the two of you present LZ. There are so many reactors on UA-cam. Yours is the only one I am a Patron of. Looking forward to next video!!! Long live the mighty Zeppelin!!! 🎤🎸🥁🎹🍋🦁🇺🇸❤️🇬🇧&🏴
@@MusicforBusyPeople I get it and I always say I am blessed to have grown up at the best time for music. I say I may be old but at least I saw LZ live 😎🤷🏻♀️
I don’t consider the metal, & neither did they, at the most some hard rock. I agree, they were the best with blues, compared to other bands. They put real passion into everything they do, they really love performing, I don’t think other bands do.
This video is premiering right after Earl's Court Part 1 on Sunday, Apr 16th. Part 1 starts at 10am PDT/1pm EDT/18.00 BST/19.00 Central European, and this video starts 30 minutes later. See you there! Part 1 - ua-cam.com/video/xo4TTwQYAwI/v-deo.html
I think the previous one had Robert Plant at an even higher level of blindingly strong charisma, especially in the slow part in the first three or so minutes. Unreal!
I prefer this night ..5/25 because Bonzo is better this night and Roberts vocal break. Robert just pushing his bluesy soulful voice to its max at the end ..a year after surgery. That is what separates him from all the others..that break was wonderful American black blues at its best. What a freakin band.
This is my favourite version. Hated the fact that the UK didn’t have the stadiums/arenas back then to host a proper tour so they had 5 nights at what was the only venue that could cater to their requirements.
That was an unfortunate situation for Led Zeppelin, who had to do so many shows, but great for the lucky people who were able to see them in smaller venues.
"Hypnotizing" YES! John Bonham and Robert Plant used to shop at the same Fine Women's Clothiers, though today those shirts (on Men) might be banned someday soon. Is it any wonder their relationship with critics, was contentious. *cough*
Every night was a little different so hard to say. The last night the ad libs helped, but there were a couple miss counts The first night the sound went out and the miss q by bonzo However I like JPJ and Page better in the 24th. Jones’s bass work is impeccable I like the plant ad libs on the last night the 25th
Honestly, I slightly prefer the 5/24 performance. The band just seemed a bit fresher and more inspired overall - JB's fills were also amazing. Still a monumental example for sure of the mighty LZ @ their best...👍 🎤🎸🎸🥁 🔥🔥🔥
Going to give you guys a heads up on what is considered by many , the best Live rock album ever . It will rock your underwear off if your wearing any . If you do check it out , I'll check you out. It's by blue oyster cult Called " on your feet or on your knees "
this Sunday show sounds better because Jimmy's guitar playing sounds a little "sloppy" but i fuckin love that authentic sound they always tuned their instruments slighty different octave

My pleasure, thank you for the great content.
The Goat!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 65 yo guy here and when I first heard them in 1968 as a ten year old I was hooked .
The smile at the end of the song says it all. Led Zeppelin enjoyed themselves and the audience could sense it. Plant's ramblings between songs are part of the experience.
Ian Gillian also indulged in between songs rambles to the chagrin of one Ritchie Blackmore.
I was there that night in 75 .......Rocking!!!!!!
Can't wait. Back to Zep yesssss!!!
One of Zep's best, and one of y'all's best, I'd say. Refreshing! Good chemistry, joking around, easygoing, havin fun with it, rockin on!
Love this version with the little bit of You Shook Me thrown in at the end. Plant's performance on this song so fantastic and love his "plantations" as they are called in between songs. This is my favorite live version of this song. Talk about being in sync. Light, shade and everything in between.
So much passion by all of them, especially Plant & Page, yes my favorite version too.
I was at Earls Court the night before. it was stunning.
Wow, of all the Zep song performances, I would trade a lot--money included--to have been THERE for THIS song on the night you mention (previous). Thanks!
No thank YOU so much. Much appreciated!!!

@@MusicforBusyPeople I appreciate your time and the quality of videos as well your humor.
Robert is quite fond of his song introductions and so forth. They became known as “ Plantations”!
LOL, yes, ive heard that!
I love that he talks to the audience, many bands don’t, they just come out & play & that’s it.
Nel 1975 ero troppo piccola, avrei voluto avere almeno 20 anni per godermi un loro concerto, FANTASTICI 🤩🤟🎸
Anch'io!
Well done, you two. Peace, love and bellbottoms from Canada.
I was there on this date..my 17th birthday

When I first started watching the videos, I thought he was chewing gum or something, then I found out what & why.
Guess where I was May 25th 1975 ;) Fantastic gig
Lucky you, & yes I’m jealous.

What a freakin band.
Time for some material from the Madison Square Garden concert ! Try Whole Lotta Love from the Madison Square Garden concert next !
I think you may have seen us react to those already. Lol
@@MusicforBusyPeople Have you reacted to the entire 26 minutes of Dazed and Confused from that concert ? I highly recommend it.

Agreed. They picked 5/24 for the DVD for a reason. At least we didn't have to muck with the video to include it on UA-cam.
In 75' Plants voice was kinda bad, 77' was Jimmys turn (heroin), Dev needs full headphones, you guys switch and see if theres a big difference please

Omg i think i was in hell when i listend that first riff
I can't place that drum section at about 11:22, but I think it is a different song?
Too bad Bonham’s drums weren’t miked very well. They’re kinda buried in the mix…unlike the album.
I believe they were not buried in the "mix" at the venue. They were thunderous.
@@ledzeppacker hardly..check out The Song Remains the Same from 73 for comparison.
The May 24th version us much better . The 25th is loose and a bit sloppy and plant is more hoarse.
