I made 4 of these this morning at 3am, I couldnt sleep.... Ive got up today, gone to asda at 9am, got home for 10.30 and the lot has gone.. Asked where's the quiches, son said.. i was hungry...that was tonights tea with a salad.... He said they were very nice if it helps....Starting again now.

Hi John, Got all your books & have to make grandkid’s pizza every week now. One thing I’ve missed for many years is a good gravy, can’t stand gravy granules or the powdered mixture used by most takeaways. Remember going to a pie shop weekly when I was young for pies & taking a jug for peas & gravy, haven’t had real gravy like that for years. Have fond memories of a girlfriend’s grandma who did a pot roast with gravy that was awesome. Love to see a video on how you make a traditional gravy. Keep up the good work.
I cook these all the time, your so right they are very versatile, you can put anything in them and it almost always works out. My favorite lately is some cut up cooked asparagus, gruyere cheese with crumbled bacon.

Thanks John. I like the way you explain things so as to make things work perfect like pricking the bottom of the pastry so when you bake it it doesn't go puffy etc. I wonder why mine always ended up puffy so now I know why. 😊

What a coincidence! I am making mini quiches today! However, mine will be filled with swiss chard (in place of spinach, which isn't available at a reasonable cost and my hens have cleared from the garden ready to replant), onion, feta and pine nut. And with free range, organic eggs, the flavours and colour will be wonderful. Your version looks amazing. If mine look that good, I will be happy! And yes, I AM making my own crust. Nothing beats home made! Much love xx

Just tried this recipe (minus the spring onions as can't get them where I live) but added a pinch of thyme to the egg mixture, together with some freshly ground black pepper. Hubby and I both agree, it was VERY tasty! x

Thanks John. I like the way you explain things so as to make things work perfect like pricking the bottom of the pastry so when you bake it it doesn't go puffy etc. I wonder why mine always ended up puffy so now I know why. 😊

What a coincidence! I am making mini quiches today! However, mine will be filled with swiss chard (in place of spinach, which isn't available at a reasonable cost and my hens have cleared from the garden ready to replant), onion, feta and pine nut. And with free range, organic eggs, the flavours and colour will be wonderful. Your version looks amazing. If mine look that good, I will be happy! And yes, I AM making my own crust. Nothing beats home made! Much love xx
