- The Honda Ruckus has a strong culture of modification, with many enthusiasts customizing and modifying their Ruckus scooters in a variety of ways.
One of the most popular modifications for the Ruckus is the "stretch," which involves lengthening the frame and adding a longer swing arm to allow for larger wheels and tires. This modification gives the Ruckus a more aggressive, sporty appearance and can also improve handling and stability.
Other common modifications for the Ruckus include engine swaps, exhaust upgrades, suspension upgrades, and custom bodywork. Many Ruckus owners also customize the aesthetics of their scooters with custom paint jobs, graphics, and other aftermarket parts.
The Ruckus modification scene has a strong online presence, with many forums and social media groups dedicated to sharing ideas and resources for customizing and modifying Ruckus scooters. There are also numerous events and gatherings where Ruckus owners can show off their custom builds and meet other enthusiasts.
I have had the Dorby Works 14-inch stretch for the GY6 for about 2 years now and thought it might be time to do a long-term review. This is the longest stretch for the Honda ruckus that keeps the motor at a certain height but archives the lowest of lows. In this video I will talk about the materials it was made, the PROS and CONS, Who is it made for, who it is not made for AND WHAT MY CURRENT ISSUE IS with this mount. Remember this is my opinion on this mount and not facts , if you want to know more do research and even ask Dorby himself.

The Honda Ruckus is a scooter manufactured by Honda. It was first introduced in 2002 and has been in production ever since. The Ruckus is known for its rugged, minimalist design, which includes features such as a bare-bones frame, exposed engine, and lack of bodywork.
The Ruckus was designed to be a budget-friendly, reliable mode of transportation. It was initially marketed towards younger riders and was popular in urban areas where its small size and maneuverability made it well-suited for navigating busy streets.
Over the years, the Ruckus has gained a loyal following and has become a popular choice for customizing and modifying. It has also been used in various racing and off-road events.

Thanks to DorbyWorks @MrDorby for a great product , What do you think about this stretch for your build?
Thanks again for awesome videos! Mr Ceasar
I personally love my 12" stretch. In my opinion I have enough of a hard time turning and not scraping and the 14" seems to make it even lower
they sell a 12 in billet mount for the same price now
Your front forks is what making that gas tank clearance be an issue
I have standard front forks not the low down.... i think
@@SmallEngineVelocity oh gotcha, I thought they were aftermarket. My bad.
You can also adjust the ride height and ride quality with that low down rear shock
I know I can increase the preload but didnt know I could adjust the length
@@SmallEngineVelocity yea you absolutely can… the bottom (the pet that bolts to the motor) twists up and down. If you message me on messenger I can show you if you’d like.
Please , as soon as I find a new bracket I want to get her going again.
@@SmallEngineVelocity message me on messenger sir
The Dorby stretch is static stance
City in Oklahoma I live in is car eating pothole city so you rarely see a ruckus or ruckus clone here.
I hear that from some people. They say they want to but it would not be usable on the roads where they live
I switched from my Dorby stretch, which to Machined Machines 15in stretch, because of what you instated as well.
15" ? Is it better? I have to see this .... GOOGLE activated!+
wonder if this works on a Venom X18R
I made a skid plate for that low frame section under the tank.. I was having the same issue..
Made it from uhmw so it just slides along now on anything, no more scraping
Yea Im gonna do that, I think I saw you FB post also. Same reply!
I wanna stretch mine so bad, but life has me only riding my ruckus a few times a year so that would be silly for me to spend all that money right now 🥵
Hey you know... maybe if you did you would ride it more?
@@SmallEngineVelocity i dont have a place to store it currently where I live so I have it at my parents, that also makes it very inconvenient to ride often lol
I had the same bolt side snap on me and I upgraded the bolts to higher quality
Did you loose the top clamp? I need to find one first before I can fix her
Hahaha... Florida doesn't have the best roads. They maybe flatter, but that's only because we don't have mountains. But the road conditions are as bad as every other state cutting corners for budget cuts
