- In this video I try taking my Honda Ruckus scooter down an ATV trail. The only modification that I've done to the scooter was to replace the stock tires with "dual sport" tires.

Genuine roughouse scooter are also a great choice for one with 8000 miles and still runs like a champ
Biggest issue with offroading a Ruckus is the clearance. The exhaust is the lowest point, so rocky trails like this are the absolute worst place for it. Sandy/forested trails it really is great though. But you proved that a careful man can get anywhere on one!
I agree - it's less than ideal, and not built for it... but it can get through it if you go slow
No one talks about if you get stuck or run out, it's an east push or walk it out.
Great ride man...those damned black flies would drive me nuts though!

Try NCY forks and rear shock. I weigh 260lbs and made a big difference. Stock bottomed just sitting on it.
never understood why a big dude like you would want to ride a scooter anyway. Of course the suspension will bottom out!

I do mine all the time. Most the time it's just muddy or sandy. I use a rubber boot on the intake for safty. I can pull it off if not needed.

Some spots looked pretty nasty for a 4 wheeler to get through.
That trail would be no fun on any ATV/UTV.
I would look for better trails, if I lived there.
The real question is where you doing most of the work or the bike. That’s the difference can you run with flip flops yes you can but is it as good as running with a sports shoes 👟.
I had to waddle in some spots, but the bike did most of the work. As I said in the video - a dirt bike or ATV is better, but this is way cheaper and it works

There are definitely here. I went out in my garden this morning at 6am to get some stuff done and they were already swarming because it's so hot today. This time of year you normally have until 8am before they show up.
Why in the world would you take a low street scooter and try and off road it? And don't even get me started about the ineffectiveness of the shocks and forks.
To show that, if needed, it can get you back in the woods. It's a pretty cheap setup for some trials.

Just hard on the shocks but they suck anyways so idk if you replace the shocks to good ones and nice after market nobby tires
