We just upgraded to the Waves LV-1 system (like the one in this video) the sound is SO MUCH cleaner. I assume the preamps are better than our old system and the processing is great.
just my 2cents thought. wished we had audience feed. the mix is so pristine and clean. well balanced and consistent levels. i would have loved it if the audience was captured as well to add to this great worship stream. thanks churchfront for all you do.
Wow!! ,the the sound is super. Please what do I need to incorporate something like that as my church online or my internet radio broadcast. Please what king of equipments needed or solfware. I need a complete guide explanation.Thank you for the dedicated work.Respectfully Jean Duret.
hahahaha man it was awful. In my ears, I sounded like I was in a fishbowl and I was just trying to keep from snotting all over the people on the front row... 😂
Great works and tank you for sharing ! We are about to move on LV1 for our church. Is is possible to share pour LV1 projet / setup / configuration pleaze ?
This would be my ideal dream setup. There's another church not far from mine where they have this. Apparently not many church members know how to use it. I wanna see if the guy will teach me their system.
@@djmxp No. I don't have the required hardware. Hopefully sometime I can go and learn it at the other church where they use it. I don't have any plans to acquire it in the near future. It's just for personal interest.
A little dip in the 600hz - 800hz range for snare, toms and Vox seemed to tackle some boxiness and cut out some freq masking to give more space for piano, A.G and electric (might need some cut in this range too) to live in that range. It might be just a crowd mic or verb eq move as I heard it in the tail of the ambience during announcements/spoken word as well. A 3 - 6db drop at 1.5 - 2k for pastor's mic took the honkiness out in conjunction with a cut at 600 - 800hz like every other vox for clarity, maybe with an F6 so it's more transparent🤷. Giving back a tiny bit more around 200hz to bass and snare beefed and glued things up a bit. Very slight 11-12khz shelf boost on the broadcast master took it over the top. Overall inspiring mix! I'm jealous of those fx and the smoothness of that mid range. I gotta try that PSE plugin. Would love to know what you used for verbs.
Great video by the way, and nice job with the sound. Getting that low end to translate online is tougher than people think and you’ve got a good grasp of it. Vocal is nice and clean and by the way, BIG BIG kudos remembering to bring down the effects during speaking parts. (seems like a small thing, but it shows you’re paying attention to the details.). Unsolicited feedback, I may prefer the kick drum, just a hair lower… but that’s all personal taste. Lastly, I’m assuming your mix position is in the back and wondering if you get any noise complaints because the meter you showed looks fairly hot from that spot ? I imagine the front and middle are pretty loud.
Hey Jake, any chance you'd be willing to share a copy of your LV1 session file? I'm the production coordinator at my church and we have an LV1 system and I want to continue learning how to make our mix sound better.
Hey when you did two tempo for all hail king Jesus why did you do it in the off beat? What kind of effect does that do? Is it for the distance between the repeat ? And when would you do it on the 1,2,3,4
This is a good video to teach drummers to relax when they play. Sometimes people wonder why drums aren’t louder in a box but this is why. They go nuts thinking all the hits sound awsome but it only sounds awsome to us as drummers because it’s so much movement but it’s distracting from the rest of the band
Hey guys. I have an idea. A video about how loud each insturment should really be. Live and live stream. I know we all want to be heard but sometimes.....lol
Not a horrible mix! At 6:52 you can hear someone getting a little off beat. ( lol ) Oh the joys of live music. Overall though jake, you can REALLY hear that autotune. It's overused.
Do you have a reference for what you want your mixes to sound like ? It doesn't sound complete . . . It sounds like a good soup. My apologies , not meaning to be critical . . . It's just that in the bigger scheme of trying to get gr8 sound especially for ie. church , I find there is Great Audio from the Big Projects we Love , and everything else is at best "Acceptable" . . . making the whole process of learning , the tech , pretty useless if we can't get our mixes to sound Amazing.
My un-trained opinions on the mix compared to your prior non-LV1 mixes. Prior mixes are more rough, of course, and not smoothed out as now. This sounds more like a "modern mix" of, as J.A. says, "it's all about the low-end." It's not bad, but rather "soft" in my audio verbiage. 1st song sounds like it is in a pillow-of-lowend. Meaning - dynamics of vocals are compressed for your male singer (to me). Nice sustaining bass is nice and all but I think with the message trying to get out vocally, it may put more emphasis just on the low-end. 2nd song - good vocals but still a bit diminished in the mix. I bet a little more out-front would sound wonderful - like 1/2 dB. At my church I am afraid of pulling vocals down that much in the mix to the point that the floor tom is more pronounced than the vocalist. I'd love to get a Waves LV1 system and give it a whirl. Not in our budget though. I keep trying outboard gear on our X32 through Live Professor as a stop-gap. It does seem "unnatural" to someone who expects to setup a console. This is more like setting up a stage box and an "in the box" mixing solution for FoH. How are sales of eMotion LV1 going? I also see a new V14 out there saying can support two faderbanks and 4x2 soundgrid servers. Creative and dynamic and complete? Sure. Easy for volunteers to jump into? Seems a bit odd for that and you have to create "pre-built scenes" for volunteers to press mutes and fader riding on top of. I read elsewhere that one church mentioned "real nice but most church staff don't know how to use it". Versus a console like the old X32 which you can power-on and get running with pretty fast (and that even scares away new volunteers on its complexity). Anyway - too long a reply already.
To follow-up - one reference church I listen to that I visited and did a tech tour at is The Chapel in Buffalo, NY. Yamaha CL5 FoH and CL1 for online mix. Their YT channel can give you an idea of the dynamic nature and higher-end that could sparkle up the higher-end. YT video name example: aNTc4LoapqM
Mix sounded pretty good. autotune was a little hard and the drums seemed a little dry on my end but not sure. I'm also a little concerned that they just went from song to song and it seemed more like performance over moving in the spirit. we're human but we need to be more aware of this.
@@AricLN bro, I’m a fan of this channel but tbh most of all the mixing out here is either over-compressed or doesn’t sound natural. I bet the sound we get out of inexpensive equipment is way better than this. No plugin or no external effect but we still managed to get good natural-sounding audio!
Thank you for making me sound better🥲 you're the man.
Great mix! Punchy drums, clear vocals, clean low end. Fantastic job. Translated from small iPhone speakers to a TV and car audio.
Great sounding mix. I personally would dial the auto tune down just a bit. But overall you nailed a great mix :)
Lovely mix. Vocal clearly cuts through the mix. 💯
Would love a video on how you are mixing vocals! They sound so clean 🤩

I'm impressed to see the tuner flowing into the talk without having to turn it off and on again.
Thanks for sharing, I love LV1!!!
Thanks for sharing. Great visuals to let us see your workflow. I appreciate all you're doing to upskill all churches. Thanks again!
Jezzz...the cleanest love mix that I've heard
Thanks for posting this. Nice worship, nice work, and nothing better to learn than to watch others doing it. Praise the Lord and thank you :D
Great Job! Better than 98% of the churches out there.
Yup going to need a full console channel strip review... Vocals sound fire!
can lv1 stop the system in the middle of the service? because it's a Windows computer

Great mix
Thanks for making this video
The EG player reminded me of how I sometimes wonder around the neck trying to lock onto the key, but he did it a bit too much :)
😂 ya. I do that too when I don’t practise my songs. Especially if I played them several times before
Got a talented team there! If that’s how he sounds with a cold he must be Tauren wells or something. 😂

I can teach you. Waves emotion lv1 is pretty easy to use. You gotta get familiar with the plugins they use
@@djmxp I already own most of the waves plugins as VSTs for my DAW, so that shouldn't be too hard.
@TerenceKearns do you have access to the waves lv1 software?

If you don’t touch the 600-900 range you’ll have smooth mid range. Even on a bass, boosting 800-1500 gives you that sweet sensation and sound
Well done on the mix! Are you mixing FOH and stream at the same time?
EG was playing his own song in his own key a few times there 🤪.
How can I use this platform for my radio program and church online without a building? Thanks
I hope someday Waves will put all that tech in a real surface with moving faders and dual 15 inch screens with built in dsp and i/o.

thinking of buying one. Is there enough io to run foh and live stream
Overall I like the mix, not a big fan of the kick and bass low end EQ, they both sound super tubby. Nice use of the delays on the vocals.
What decibel do you try to keep the room at?
Are you gonna stick with the lv1 after you give it back or not
Try another session rehearsal without the auto tune, i dont think they really need it, its actually making them sound worse
pakai I/O nya apa pak? pakai stagebox saja atau pakai mixer console juga pak?
Очень круто звучат барабаны, хочется увидеть их настройку в lv1
What control surface are you using and what phone app for SPL?
Man, I returned my M32 for a Wing, and it seems the wing has disappeared on UA-cam now.
It's nice to see a live workflow. It's really cool but I think I'll stick with Behringer for now. 😅
Physical buttons for the win
What app is he using for DB meter?

Hitting over 100db?!?!?
What DAW software is it?
Waves Emotion. It isn't actually a DAW. Just a mixing software.
Drums close mics down by 4db down pls.
Too much pitch correction on the girls voice I think. Might have sounded okay in the room but she sounds like TPayne bro xD
10.16 🎸😥
