Cleaning RUSTY CHROME on a motorcycle with VINEGAR and ALUMINUM FOIL!

We continue working on our 1972 Honda CB175 by cleaning up all the chrome using...you guessed it, vinegar and aluminum foil. It's not as good as it once was, but it's as good once as it ever was.
We also get our replacement starter and test both side-by-side to see just how bad the old one sounds in addition to replacing the rear tire and balancing it.

Regular Chrome polish works fine for chrome that's slightly dull or dirty, but this works great for light/medium rust.

How often do you clean your 🏍🛵 with the vinegar/aluminum foil method? Just when you’re restoring them? Or for upkeep too🤔

Great question. You wouldn't want to use it on newish chrome, only when there's rust. You can see back in an old video I was polishing the chrome on a vtx1800 and regular chrome polish and a rag worked great.

Thanks for checking! Slowly getting things powder coated, but once it's all done it'll be ready for final reassembly and tank painting!
