Jim Gaffigan is an American stand-up comedian, actor, writer and producer. He presently has 5 stand up specials on Netflix and 2 on Amazon Prime Video. He wrote 2 New York Times Best Sellers DAD IS FAT and FOOD: A Love Story He co-created and starred in a tv series based on his life called The Jim Gaffigan Show. He has appeared in numerous TV shows and films in both comedic and dramatic roles.
I was missing this show and seeing it back brought tears to my eyes. Jim, you are doing so much to lighten our hearts during this pandemic. May God bless your and your family each end everyday!
With the eloquence with which Chef Jim explains the origins of burnt ends, I'd like to see a crossover episode between Let's Get Cookin' and Drunk History.
You could call it "Let's Get Drinkin'."

Jim, you’ve created a MONSTER!!! The Let’s Get Cookin shirt I bought my husband arrived Sunday morning. He was so excited!!! He said Let’s Get Cookin’ along with making the whipping sound the entire time he was grilling. You’d have been proud! 😂

At this time of great division in our country the only chance that holds a candle to heal our nation is for all of God’s children to join hands and embrace our one true love of BBQ and heal our differences with our common love and belief in smokey goodness (Chef Jim 0ur reverend of BBQ witnesses in praise “Amen to even the Vegans among us” Carolina, Texas, Memphis and Kansas City all gathered round Chef Jim’s table of bounty to pass the platters. Whether by dry rub or dripping in sauce from our chins our bond as one family will not be broken. (The only doubters, as in any family are Mike and Pat heard dissenting “Do you mean Kansas City Kansas or Kansas City Missouri Dad?)

Kansas City is a ketchup tomatoe sauce
Carolina has 5 regions of bbq sauce. And they have mostly a vinegar and mustard sauce
But a guy from Carolinas moved to Kansas and created the bbq everybody eats

Jim, Jim, Jim, Jack Stack is not in Independence MO. But that's ok, we here in KC know where it is. I live very near Joe's KC but never had it. Lived in KC my whole life. Your video inspired me to try it! Jack Stack is one of my favorites. Been going to the location in Martin City MO since I was a kid. My brother and I worked at Hayward's BBQ for years in high school. No longer owned by Hayward Spears, but still good. Been a long time staple since I was a kid as well. Love seeing you representing KC BBQ!!!!!! You always make me laugh!!! And love watching you and your family during this quarantine!!!

I thoroughly enjoy the show and In all seriousness this is the only cooking show I can watch. I think it's because I would never eat any of that food and therefore it doesn't trigger any cravings.

I spent half my life working in kitchens. From fast-food to fine dining, long hours for low pay, using my days off to research and experiment. Now I realize I could have just used the phrase “let’s get cookin’” an obnoxious number of times and become a master chef without all the effort.
If you are a young person, considering culinary arts, learn from my mistakes. Don’t find a real job, work hard, or seek out mentors. Say funny things about bacon and hot pockets. Guarantee, your life will be great.
