I'm curious if this exercise would exacerbate tightness in the IT band or effect the tracking of the patella. As a massage therapist I deal with people, some athletes, who have hypertonicity in the IT band and TFL, or who have lateral tracking of the patella because of hypertonicity in the lateral quads. Thank you for your videos! They're very straightforward and informative.
Great video, but he didn’t really explain how people do monster walks incorrectly. He cut it short and explain more about the hip movement drill. Would’ve been nice if he actually demonstrated and explain. I do monster walks. Hopefully my feet position is correct.
Hello! They turn their feet out too much and let their knees drop in. The feet should be forward and making sure the knees are driving outward so the hip is externally rotating instead of internally rotating and abducting. -Ryan

Monster walks are good if done correctly
