Restoring a 1920's Griswold Cast Iron Griddle

- In this video I restore a slant logo Griswold Model 746X No 9 cast iron griddle. It was really rusty and had leftover seasoning on it. I stripped off the old seasoning on it, then cleaned off the rust, and then I re-seasoned it. This was fun piece to restore.

I have two lodge griddles are in bad shape got them from my grandfather home before he sold it I want to use them again as a family heirloom so it can passed down to generations to come.

Next you ought to restore your stovetop.
What oil did you use ?
I initially used regular canola cooking oil and for the main coat I used crisco vegetable shortening
not a circuit board shop....😅
Might want to give that stove top a bit of a cleaning as well, lol............just sayin........
