A totally awesome performance by ZZ TOP, I urge any fan to purchase the blu-ray disc to see and hear one of the best displays of blues rock known to man, I have seen them many times live, but this is something else!!!!
Have been at their concert in 1995 at Zenith, Paris, with my then wife. They had built a Mexican village with tiny hay-covered cabins on the stage and that's where they came from at the beginning... Billy had his new hat with pending strips and introduced it as: Chapeau d'Afrique! What an awesome and absolutely unforgettable gig it was... Concrete and Steel! And see them 17 years later in this clip, they don't seem changed at all... Shall I grow up a beard and be forever young as well, Dusty?
666adrinator You're not wrong... I love ZZ Top but they use quite a few vocal tracks and some instrument tracks too (rhythm guitar, synthesizer, etc). The instruments don't really bother me but the lip synced vocals on some songs rub me the wrong way... listen to any performance of Pincushion and you'll hear it's the same vocal track. Plus Billy and Dusty stay closer to the mic while lip-syncing. Chartreuse is performed live though
TR7 Same thing goes with Legs, but credit still goes to them for performing most of their songs by themselves. They are to me still 100 times better live performers than todays all-playback singers and musicians you see everywhere.
This really cool song bad ass album to came out in 2012 would have been a classic if it came out in 1970's or 1980's sad that radio want play new stuff sounds just as good as the old stuff radio classic rock station stuck on the same 3 or 4 song's I'm tired of them couple of songs
Chartreuse You got the color that turns me loose Chartreuse That color just turns me loose Better than Magenta Better than Fuse You got a shade that gets rid of the blues. Yeah chartreuse Don't you know I like big caboose Chartreuse You know I like that big caboose Its sure sweet, Lights my fuse Its sure sweet babe, Lights my fuse Chartreuse That color just turns me loose Chartreuse You got the color that turns me loose When you got the blues baby I got the juice If you get the blues lil' mama I got the juice

................ya’ know I love that BigCaboose🤘🏼🤠🇺🇸🎸
Sounds familiar to "Long live rock 'n' roll" by Rainbow :)
thinking exactly the same thing
1:52 - it shows how awesome they are. They don't "delete" this mistake.
saw them live - it wasn't "live" i think. i always had the feeling of playback or a supporting rack of DSPs

Sounds like Tush ??
Or Canned Heat - Shake 'N Boogie. It is old blues riff, done by many others.
Billy's Guitar tone at this gig was just absolutely rude
Bad sound
