Absolute brilliant video Hayden! A lot of great tips covered and explained well here! It get's me excited to start working on setup once I have my car buttoned up.
Thanks mate. I did pick up some tips from this. I'm just doing khanacross now in my 97 WRX but have good suspension and haven't touched the settings yet. Now I'm keen to play a bit and what you say makes sense. Adjustable diff ramps are a bit out of my league though😀
Do you change the suspension settings when driving the same stage second time? usually the roads are very rutted by then - does that possibly mean less rebound in suspension would help with more grip in the ruts?
was told as a simplistic theory on gravel as hard as you can get away with, and or tarmac as soft as you can get away with. chasing this theory will give a more compliant car.
Just to show that there is not proper setup and it all depends on the driver. I like having a more "closed" diff in the back because it rotates and pushes the car through the corner. The front diff simply helps keep the car from spinning around.A more "closed" diff in the front creates too much understeer on power. It might be "safe" but certainly slower. My suspension is different as well. I go for the stiffest setup possible because soft suspension means more weight transfer and the car feels heavy and sloppy around the corners.
I'm gonna test some of these tips on dirt 2.0
Thanks a lot mr hayden paddon....we appreciate your kindness....May the Almighty shower you with more blessings in rally mechanics ideas 💡
Thanks Hayden. Learned a lot. That is the best and well explained set up chat I have ever listen to.

"now to work out how to apply this to RC rally" and then at that moment you pull out a giant rc car hats off for that
Great video, will have to try some of that out on the sim!
Top man Hayden, learnt alot from this video & appreciate your help! Keep us in the loop for your plans for 2021!!
Great video, looking forward to watching you all competing soon, endless power & continuing success
Best on this I've seen so far
Thanks for the explanations, I learned alot from you thru the years

Great video! Hope to see you back in WRC
This is going to help so many people, both in real life and in sims! Good work. Maybe you need nonlinear dampers/springs for that long wheelbase ;)

If I want a little more dive under braking in my ep91 starlet should I move the rear inner pivot of my front suspension down?
Good stuff you have there, like to dip into rally myself.
Great insight thanks Hayden.
Very helpful thanks Hayden.
So useful, thanks alot
Wow thanks you!! It was very helpful
Great video 👍🏻
I wish you were back in WRC
Good explain. Thank you.
On gravel stages, are the rear diffs more locked than the front? and what is it like for asphalt - opposite?
Very useful

Nice to get some real detail, thanks.
very interesting, thanks.
Love the toy shop, I mean work shop.
i am so damn crazy to win the rally.....can you help me......where do i suppose to start..........?
Very interesting
