Can't even get an oil change this fast in my area.. Absolutely amazing teamwork, show of knowledge, organized chaos, and adaptability.. Incredible, definitely deserve a standing ovation 💪👏
You should be doing your own oil changes any how.
Shops do them too fast.
It's best to let your oil drain for at least an hour to ensure you get all the old oil, and the dirt floating in it, out.
@@typhoon1575
This is a total myth in case anyone is reading this. To see why just go read the service manual for your vehicle. The quantity specified for an oil change is significantly lower then that for a new empty motor. It doesn't matter HOW long you gravity drain it, there are places within the sump and passages that will never drain out. The two extra ounces that might drip out in the five hours following the first five minutes are a literal drop in the bucket compared to the quart+ that will NEVER come out of the engine in a normal oil change. All oil changes are merely mixing a small quantity of old oil with a larger volume of new. If you do them routinely as you should you will eventually turn over the entire contents, but any single change will never do so.
If you're going to do your own oil don't waste your time, give it five to ten minutes and then button it up any longer makes fuck all difference.

true definition of teamwork and knowledge, respect for mechanicans!
From roughly 1:10 to about 1:50 they gathered around the rear damage and discussed/game planned. From that point on it was just top notch thrashing. Beautiful
No, they did not. The obvious higher ups wanted to feel important, and they discussed it. The mechanics themselves went straight to work. The mechanics did not discuss anything. There wasn't anything to discuss. The mechanics did not get or take any advice from the pencil pushers. They did not get a game plan from them. Did you watch the same video that I did? These professionals don't need to come up with a game plan. They already have one. They practice every possible scenario imaginable. They already knew what they would do if the car broke or crashed in any way.
I think they just came to hear from mechanics if they can repair it or not. They look clueless. :D@@gmoffat70
Red Bull: we got the best mechanics
Citroën: hold my croissant
Sorry man but I'll disagree with you on that one. F1 cars are much more complicated and sophisticated, no one is using a hammer or tape. Also when F1 mechanics have to fix a car they can't just "patch things up" they have to make it like brand new in less than 3 hours. Pit stops are not the only thing F1 mechanics do

A race within a race. Great skills, best teamwork i ever seen.
Im not into car racing (till this day) but as a business owner I'm literally crying to see how beautiful this is. The team (walking even talking to each others almost) are coordinated on a level I have never seen. Every single person so dedicated at what they did. This is art!
And the driver just walking off the car like he just cameback from getting his grocery is hilarious 🤣
It’s called getting the right team for the job to be done, pretty sure they was arguing but they pulled together. I as a business owner myself find it easier to let workers do what they need to do without me lurking over their shoulders micromanaging them and the work. They prefer it that way as they don’t go into panic mode because the boss is about haha.
As a worker, good training, management and salary makes it a lot easier to focus on the job to be done instead of having to worry about the rest of the team messing up, not being listened to, being micromanaged or not being able to pay bills.
When your boss says that you can finish early as soon as you finish that job.
"hold my hammer"
they call it dry work in my place, it's basicaly tasking work, every day you have a specific task you need to finish each day, either you finish it too early or took you so much time, you can then go home.
usually construction workers take this kind of jobs more often.
Great teamwork. They managed the crisis very well with their knowledge, experience and the right equipment. Most impressive is that nobody shouted at each other in this limited 30 minutes.
Exactly, they were like "tis but a scratch, we had it worse"
On races, everyone has a job and has to do it great. When everyone does his job, it goes fast !
They were calm and did they work perfectly.
Clearly no Americans onsite ( in ref to all American mechanic shows where they always argue in a time crunch )
Their time was not even close to used rite.

I used to do this stuff in the 80's, no power tools allowed. They made you suffer. I remember when a driver broke two works Escorts in the one season, the race mechanic told him if he did it again, he would not make it back to the hotel. Its even more frantic in the Dakar. They have to do this for 14-17 days in the middle of nowhere. One of the works BMW X5's broke a rear wishbone assembly with no spare. The team manager walked over to a spectator who also owned an X5. They bought his whole car off him for cash. Awesome.

In F1 they drive computers in a simulation. In WRC they drive cars in the real world.
In F1 a rear damage like this would destroy the whole car 😂
@@sergiobollana Not really, but it really is a shame that F1 races aren't really races and more of a tech showcase. Those cars are kept at minimum operating levels at all times.
Can’t compare with F1 which is a race to the Finnish, this is in stages
F1 mechanics work under different rules. But if you want a comparison. Couple of years back one the Redbulls (Max’s if memory serves) front left(I think) was damaged on the lap to the grid. And they had about 25 mins to replace a whole front left suspension assembly on the grid before the 5 mins warning to stop all work on the cars before the formation lap.
Not an exact one to one comparison but about as close as you will get in F1. Was funny watching a bunch of mechanics running back the garage to get the parts they needed.
Got the job done in time so fair play to them.
the fact that the tarp they're working on is slippery makes it all that much more impressive that they're working so fast

F1 can only dream about these skill levels (IMO)
if they can do all that with the damage it it had in under 30 minutes why does it take my mechanic 8 hours to do a simple brake job. Damn that was fantastic
Because your mechanic isn't getting paid $12,000 a weekend. The more ya know. X)
because this guy has about 8 mechanics so the cost is half your car. seriously though, brakes are worth learning to do yourself, easily accessible with minimal tools/supplies in your own driveway
Radionut R do your brakes yourself next time. I had seezed front calipers that had to be replaced. never changed a tire in my life. a full weekend of time, ChrisFix on UA-cam, and an AutoZone a mile away for tool rentals and parts saved me $1,000.
Zariana
No, they have five mechanics... they are the guys wearing the yellow foot straps. The rest are onlookers (except for the cleaning guy who has a different foot strap). This is what the regulations demand.
Radionut R
Also, this car is built for ease of service and the level of finish is "that'll do, it will last the rally" which is why it takes them 30 minutes. This kind of repair on your car would take weeks and cost you/your insurance company a fortune.
because mechanics are only 1 for one or two car a the same times and rally mechanics are making quick repair the car after is not repair for 100 000km, and mechanics do brake everyday everytime so its really boring, oh and the mechanics don't change your brake only he check if everything work...

Why is the 10mm one the one that’s missing.
The trick is to have lots of 10mm sockets. They'll all disappear eventually along with the 12's, the 14s and the 17s but if you've got a supply you can at least have them scattered all over the place.

Es sind die Besten ,der Besten. Eine Demonstration reinen Könnens und Wissens. Großartig 👍👍👍👍🏆🏆🏆🏆
This is insane!!! 30min!!!!! And i'm still waiting for my car (2 months) from my local mechanic.. (4 Brakes)... Ehh.. We need more technicans like this in our cities
5:46 just like the typical team leader, comes from no where and takes a selfie and the credit "We are putting this together"
Ikr? A leader should be either helping his team or using a checklist to keep track.
@@UltraGamma25 that was sarcastic jokes mate 😂
@@ivanandreyanto4433 Honestly, this is truly how arrogant these leaders are nowadays. Get paid more to do less than nothing.
More like a "boss", a leader does the job with his team and a boss just takes credit and tells his team what to do
What a knob he looks like right now.
Kinda a dream job for a mechanic. High pressure but you can't beat that parts delivery time - they've got everything they need, right there on hand and it doesn't matter how it looks, so long as it works.
No rust, no seized bolts, no bullshit - just everything set up just right so you can get the job done. You're allowed to use a big hammer too.
No siezed bolts, but probably a few just sheared off.
Windex will fix that
incredible work by the mechanics, an exceptional level🔥🔥🔥
Bom trabalho da equipe parabéns
Everyone talking about the team and me looking at 1:43 where the driver slips on the wet ground lmao
Hahahaha
Lol In indonesia we call it "tajilapak"
He was not the driver though. He wont never fall
