- Changing the EVAP solenoid valve (purge valve) in a 2003 to 2010 Nissan Micra K12. The evaporative emission system is used to reduce hydrocarbons emitted into the atmosphere from the fuel system. This reduction of hydrocarbons is accomplished by activated charcoals in the EVAP canister. The fuel vapor in the sealed fuel tank is led into the EVAP canister which contains activated carbon and the vapor is stored there when the engine is not operating or when refueling to the fuel tank. The vapor in the EVAP canister is purged by the air through the purge line to the intake manifold when the engine is operating. EVAP canister purge volume control solenoid valve is controlled by ECM. When the engine operates, the flow rate of vapor controlled by EVAP canister purge volume control solenoid valve is proportionally regulated as the air flow increases.
EVAP canister purge volume control solenoid valve also shuts off the vapor purge line during decelerating and idling. Common signs of a problem with a car EVAP solenoid valve include rough idle, difficulty starting, poor engine performance and the check engine light turning on.

I like what you do can you make video for Valve stem seals thanks 🙏🏻
I won't be doing that with this engine, sorry :)
This part doesn’t benifit from being cleaned in any way?
You could try cleaning it with MAF sensor cleaner if it's clogged up.
✌💪💪💪
Thanks !
Sir, can I ask for a video of disassembling the automatic gear lever Micra K12
I don't have access to an automatic K12, sorry
What symptoms would you get if this needed to be replaced?
It's in the video description
Sorry I should have read that first. Thanks for the reply
You're welcome :)
Sorry, but where is the video description exactly ?
@@screwsnutsandbolts I can't locate the video description?
Hello, i have nissan Micra 2005. It doesn't work when it's under the sun in hot weather. It works after opening the hood and waiting for 5 minutes. In the shade or in the evening this is not a problem. Which sensor do you think is the problem?
It could be a camshaft sensor, crankshaft sensor or coolant temperature sensor. It could also be fuel vapor lock or something else. Check this link: mechanicbase.com/troubleshooting/car-engine-hard-to-start-when-warm-causes/
Hy please tell me did u get which sensor was broken
Abi selam sorunu çözebildin mi aynı sorunu bende yaşıyorumda
You are really helpfull!!
I have a question that I dont know what do to extacly.
I had a check engine light on, After I use BDOII I found that my oxygen sensor not working, So I change it, After a day the check engine turn on back, I check the problem again and foudn the error P0420 Catalytic converter problem, How can this be after I changed the oxygen sensor?, Maybe the CAT really messed up?, You have an idea how to fix it?
It could be a few other causes. Check this link: www.carobdcode.com/p0420-peugeot-catalyst-system-efficiency-below-threshold-bank-1
@@screwsnutsandbolts I forgot to mention. I have Nissan micra k12 2008
Really helpful channel ! Would it be possible that a code P0303 could be related to this purge valve ? I already checked sparks plugs, the coils and the injectors..
P0303 usually means there's a misfire in cylinder 3 but there could be a few issues causing that. Check this link: www.fixdapp.com/blog/p0303-nissan/
@@screwsnutsandbolts Thank you for your reply. I recently had a P0444 code too. What are the priorities to check?
hello, my engine does not idle, it revs, what can it be, please, nissan micra 12 petrol
Do the revs go up and down or just stay up ?
@@screwsnutsandbolts keep the revs up
It's hard to say. It could be a problem with the throttle body, a faulty oxygen sensor or something else. You may need to take it to a garage to have it diagnosed.
@@screwsnutsandbolts thank you
