- Опубліковано 24 тра 2018
- Today on JD Cars we are testing out Turtle Wax Jet Black spray wax. This wax is specifically designed for black cars. It helps to hide scratches, swirls, and other imperfections in your paint. After using it, I would say for $5 bucks it does improve the appearance of the paint, and it does a good job of repelling water. Thanks for watching, please like and subscribe!

Thats what i call a good review.
Don’t think I’ll ever get bored of this car , wouldn’t change a thing looks immense 👌🏻
Same here bro! It's going to be hard to sell this beast!
Nice!! spray wax are easy to use. Car looks nice and clean
Yup!
This wax is neat and is pretty thick for spray wax. I was surprised how much I had to buff it out (like you did).
I have used this on my blue van and i always damped the microfibre cloth when i apply it then leave it and buff it of with a clean dry new cloth comes up great
Thanksfor sharing, i thought it ststes that you should use circular motions, as a polish ?
Great
My “beater” car is like this lol. Th hood is trashed with spots that will never go away.
Represent Massachusetts. 👍👍
was about to say needs waaay more low but then saw ur caption that it was filmed earlier
Yup... I just lowered her another 3/4" in the rear and 1/2" in the front yesterday!
Does the back dye penetrate through the clear coat and dye the base layer? How does it become more black if it lies upon the clear coat?
Can you please explain?
You should have used seal and shine on the other side to see how much the jet black fills in. It seems to on my car.
Will that work if vehicle already has good coat of wax on it already or will it not adhere as well?
You should try meguiars ultimate liquid wax ! It's very good !
I've tried it... very good stuff!
What headlights are those, looks great😊
VIPMotoz 3D Angel Eye Headlights! Glad you like them!
Awesome man. Any issues with the air scoops in the snow?
Thanks! Nope, no issues!
Is this for metallic paintwork? I might buy this for my Z4, think it is safir black metallic.
I believe it is for jet black only..
@@JDCarsChannel Oh ok, thanks for response anyways!
Time for a paint correction now, but nice work! Try Sonax Cutmax, buy a clay bar and DA polisher & you be set.
Definitely needs a paint correction.
Abrasive polishers actually destroy the paint or clear coat. You're basically hazing up your clear coat then faking a new clear coat with temporary wax that fades off in no time and you're stuck with the hazed coat all over again. I've seen vehicles that have been buffed down to almost metal because some dork started this destructive process.
Question, I have metallic paint so it has the specs/glitter for lack of a better word. Will this product hide that or "tint" over that?
That's a fantastic question. I think it would likely tint over the metallic.
I've used the Jet Black Detailing spray on my Tuxedo Black Taurus SHO, it's absolutely the most POP I have ever achieved on this car! Note: I clayed the paint and then applied Griots one step sealant before applying it. The initial application required a second hand buffing to eliminate any missed hazing. Now I just wipe the car down with it after each washing. I can't s top smiling every time I look at my car!
@@widetrackerinkazoo6559 I have been using the Turtle Wax Jet black and I have to admit, it does make the car gorgeous.
I tried it on my black Hyundai Sonata and it didnt work
U should've used a regular spray wax in the other side. The side without the black spray wax wasn't even hand dried after the wash, so it wasn't close to a fair comparison in my estimation
It just shows you that not everybody with a "speaking voice" knows what they're doing. They like to talk, though.
The car definitely needs a professional paint correction.
Oh yeah, no doubt.
First
Can you use this product on rims?
Yes
Any similar products for platinum bronze?
Not that I know of... sorry!
Oh . I wanted to wrap my Roof gloss black but im considering painting the roof since painting it is 1/3 price of the wrap... Do you think Jet Black is the closest E90 color to gloss black?
Use a clay bar directly after you finish washing and drying the car. Removes unseen contaminants. Then polish the car. Add some detailer after you buff off the polish the first time then add more again. Buff again. Then the finishing touch of a wax of your choosing. The car paint will look literally brand new. Show case car look. If it doesn't look like that then u probably need a professional paint job. But you probably already know all this!
bro987 omggggg thank you I’ve just been trying to find a list like this I got confused which products to use after others
One thing i learn is there is no product in the world that keep this dark colors from getting scratche . Even if someone take the scratches out ....you go on the highway.....the rocks and sand is gonna damage the paint again.
Even washing it and i two buckets and two microfiber wash sponges. Constantly wash with fresh the wash sponges and i also dump out the water twice. Still with have swirls .One thing with German cars their clear coats are harder which make it more resistant to swirls. However i if you do get them they are harder to buff out. The worse is Subaru their paint and clear coast is super soft. Just looking at it will cause swirls lol...What i do is polish the car twice a year. Then the other times i just use a glaze to cover up the swirls...Theres no point in trying to always get rid of swirls because theyll be backn in 3-4 weeks.
@@letsgonow5641 Yeah it's a pain in the ass, owning a black car and try to keep it brand new. My car is also black and has soft paint. Polished it twice and now where 2 months away from the last one and there are definitely swirls all over the place. And yes I only hand wash the car with a good pre wash and 2 buckets. So yeah it sucks.
@@reneke076 I only got my car in black because it was the best deal at the time. Having own a black car previously i knew how it would be. I even told the salesman black is the last color I wanted and he knocked $200 off the price.
@@letsgonow5641 I get that, but still the car looks way better than most of the (black) cars that drive around. I try to keep that in mind. 😁
How is the water and dust resistant properties?how long does it last
After using it for a bit longer I would say I prefer Griot's Spray Wax... this doesn't last as long.
What kinda wash did you use ??
Chemical Guys
Did you spray that on bumpers too ?
I can't remember for sure, but I think so
The wax works ,but once you go threw the car wash, it washes the wax right off...smh
What happens if you put black wax on a gray car lol
Good question hahaha
BMW owners...
Should've got a Volvo ya fool
The left side just looks dirty. You should have washed it.
Public service announcement... never get a black car.. ur welcome. Mine looks awesome for the first 5mins after a wash, 2 rain drops and I shouldn't have bothered
No fucking difference
