I caused little scratches all over after cleaning it with the sponge and a dry microfibre cloth :( would this kit help?
Clay bar the areas effected by water spots..worked for me on my black paint. All the best.
Thanks, I’ll try that next.
I agree with jay, didn’t know this was in the market for couple years as I just bought it this morning. I clayed my black Tesla and has tons of water spots... didn’t come out with the clay or this jet black but it did remove it about 70-80%... gotta hit it again with clay and compound on the next wax
After wash and clay bar then correction compound with machine with medium cutting pad (orange) and that will get deep water spots
Thanks very much for pointing out how to get rid of the water spots.
Thanks for watching and for commenting.
Awesome video! I just bought a 2021 black Honda. The paint is known to fail with tin 2 years. Do you recommend doing this new to protect it or is this purpose to restore?
It can be either way. It is supposed to enhance the black, so if new it will protect it and is supposed to make the black look a bit deeper.
Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment.
Thx. I might try.
If you do, hopefully it works well for you.
Hmm I hope this remove some scratches I’ve on my car. I’ve some light ones that I’ve been thinking about getting repainted
It may fill them in with the wax so they aren’t noticeable, but won’t take them away fully. Perhaps a complete paint correct starting with a clay bar and then compound, polish and wax would help your paint. You may be able to skip the compound depending on what you need to correct.
Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment.
So you add it two times and remove it with the towels what if you want to add turtle wax scratch & swirl remover first then add this bro?
Yes, you should just be able to add the swirl remover before this process. Depending on how much your paint needs correction, you probably want to start with a clay bar and then move the scratch and swirl remover. After that you could polish before using the wax, just depends on how much work your paint needs.
Hope that helps.

What colour code is your car? It doesn't look black per se, like a browny black colour, like mine.
My color code is Z8, black metallic.
Thanks for watching.
Deff worked for my black Tesla. Suggest wash car first. Then wash car again but clay bar it then dry it completely. Use “Turtle wax clean cut rubbing compound “, green bottle, if you got water spots as shown in video. I have major water spots all over the car and Eliminated about 70-80% of the water spots. Then hit it with the black polish.... water spots slightly visible, but not as bad as before. I did it by hand and I’ll do it all over again in 6-8 months and should eliminate all of it... (took like 6 hours for me by hand and it’s a mode s. Tiny car but black is always the longest to do) I know it’s an older video but good video btw cheers 🍻
Thanks for the tips on what you use and watching this older video.
Thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts.
I find white vinegar works amazing for water spots..hardly any elbow grease required hasn’t damaged any of my vehicles paint and leaves a mirror streak free finish. For water spots that are etched in due to baking in direct sunlight need polishing out
Thanks for sharing your experience.
I use the 3D water spot eraser gel! Worked great for me
Thanks for the tip.
Thanks for watching and sharing your experience.
Thanks I am going to do mine Nissan Qashqi good video I like to detail my car and I bought extra detailed for the in between waxes
Glad the video was useful. Hope your car turns out great.

Hi buddy how about removing or covering/ masking car marring and swirl marks ???? I caused them by cleaning my car with dry microfibre cloth yesterday :(
It will temporarily mask them, providing they aren’t too deep, but will eventually show them again.
To really take care of things like swirl marks, you’ll want to clay bar it, then use a clear coat safe rubbing compound. Then move to a polish and finally wax. There are a ton of videos on the process, so would be worth a look (I haven’t made one just yet, but have gathered the products to get it done hopefully soon and will do a short video on it).
@@OurRideLife great advice buddy yeah I was thinking to just make them up .. and to be honest what have gathered is … like I just bought this car recently snd it was the first time I washed it myself and after washing the marks got visible… so what I believe is the guy who I bought this car from MASKED them? And after self wash they got appeared so yeah I would update you once I use turtle wax colour magic jet black wax polish and how it worked !
Try liquid glass ultimate auto polish finish it the best stuff ever!! My car is black and i never get water spots even it rains my car drys fast and with a glass finish the best!!!
Thanks for the tip, I’ll give it a try.
What is I was my car a week later will it remove the dye
The dye faded over time, but it looked about the same after the first few washes. But it does fade after a few, so won’t last for too long.
Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment.
Did you do the whole car by hand or use a buffer? Were you able to reuse the pads?
I did the entire car by hand and did re-use the pads, but had clean micro fiber towels on hand. Using a buffer would be a lot less work, but I wanted to try the kit as it comes.
Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment.
@@OurRideLife first time I used the kit I applied it with hands outstanding performance 2nd time with hands 3rd time I did it with a polisher and results werent as amazing as you may think they would so I applied nr1 by hand another time and right now im thinking if I should try to apply ceramic coating on on top of it or not lol an experiment C.Q.UK 3.0
Michal thanks for passing that along. Good information to know.
Thanks for watching and sharing your experience.
can you use this on white cars
This is designed for black cars, but there is a different version for white cars.

Clay bar for water spots
Thanks for the tip. I’ll be doing that next weekend.
for how long that wax will stay on car? few months?
I would recommend waxing at least every 2-3 months as the protection will start to become less effective over time. Waxing each month would be best to protect the paint.
Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment.
Our Ride Life thank you! Is this apply for all kind of waxes from turtle wax? 😅
Does the back dye penetrate through the clear coat and dye the base layer? How does it become more black if it lies upon the clear coat?
Can you please explain?
That is a very good question. I don’t think it penetrates the base coat as over time it fades. It is some type of colored wax that goes on the top, I’m thinking that it is on the clear coat, but as a thin layer it provides a darker tint.
It has a black tint to the wax that is on top of the clear coat so it does make the car a deeper black. This works great if you go over the car with a good swirl remover first.
the polish just levels the clearcoat out to make it reflect more light, its snake oil! just use any wax..same result
@@paulbunyun-xi9by it is nice not to have go back over to remove light colored wax.
Can it be used on wrapped cars?
I don't think there is any point in polishing and waxing wrap. Just water and a soft brush will get dirt of vinyl. Polish might wear away the UV protection.
I don’t believe it is made for a wrapped car.

To get rid of water marks, use diluted toilet cleaner then use regular polish. Works wonderfully
Thanks for the tip. How diluted should the toilet cleaner be? Sounds like something to try on a test panel and then the rest of the car if the paint doesn’t have issues with it.
Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment.
@@OurRideLife Concentration depends on hardness of the water marks. Start with low concentration like 1 : 10, adding a little car shampoo also helps.
Caution: Do not leave it on paint for long, wipe it off within a minute.
Makes sense. Thanks.
use vinegar to remove water spots
Thanks for the tip. I’m going to give it a try.
I wish I had a garage. I live in an apartment complex in Seattle. 2020 black car sits out in rain every single day collecting waterspots
For a while I lived in a place without a garage and keeping a car clean is quite a chore. Hopefully, eventually you get a garage.
Thanks for watching and sharing your experience.
I assume they have white, right?
They don’t appear to have a kit with the cleaner, but they do have a wax for white cars. Here is a link to the product on Amazon so you can check it out: amzn.to/2RiS3JV
Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment.
What about scratches?
It hides fine scratches for a while, but they will return once the wax wears. So, with regular waxing it will take care of those. Larger scratches will need paint correction providing that there is still enough clear coat remaining.

I have a bmw. Black metallic sapphire.. Can I use this?
According to the package it should work for that, but I would try some on a non visible panel to make sure.
You can also contact Turtle Wax through social media and see if they have more guidance.
Hope that helps.
Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment.
@@OurRideLife thank you for replying. I appreciate it. I was just concerned because mine is shiny and metallic. The package says jet black. I am worried it will flatten it out. Thanks. I will contact them. 😊
Yes, mine was a black metallic, but wasn’t an extremely noticeable metallic, so I couldn’t tell that it dulled it but may be different with a more metallic finish.
Hope they let you know. If you don’t hear anything let me know and I have a decent amount of followers on Twitter and usually get a response that way.
@@OurRideLife I'll follow you on Twitter.
Sounds good, my Twitter handle is @TheSportsCarGuy
Would a polish machine be better ?
That’s a good question. I recently bought a good polisher, so I may need to make a follow up video. I know it would make the job faster, just not sure if it would do a better job or be about the same.
Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment.
@@OurRideLife I just found out that on the instructions it’s say not to use the machine
@@Gypsyman1616 good to know. Thanks for checking.
Water spots...just use some alcohol and wipe with microfiber cloth to a shine then wax the car. Works for me.
Thanks for the tip.
Look up chemical guys water spot removal, its an orange gel. Works amazingly
After this video I actually bought that. Good stuff.
Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment.
Mr. Clean eraser , will illuminate all water spots.
Wax it afterwards....Awesome mirror finish .
I strongly don’t recommend “mr clean eraser” at all. Will scuff and scratch paint as this polisher will fill in those scratches and you won’t see it at first, but give it a few weeks or months when the “black polish goes away” and you’ll see those fine lines...
I think a clay bar is a bit safer way to go, but thanks for the comment.
ASMR car waxing. Lol.
What microphone are you using?
I’m not sure the exact model, but it is from Bowman.
Finish care 1000p wax is very good
Thanks for passing that along. I’ll have to give it a try.

Meguires ultimate compound is the best
I’m a big fan of their products. I haven’t tried Ultimate Compound, but will try it in the future.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts and for watching.
@@OurRideLife Hi. Did you try it?
Tafadzwa Mapamula I haven’t yet, but have a new car that needs paint correction and was going to try it on that car.
This stuff lasts longer though as it's very waxy and is less harsh. Compound is quite abrasive and you can't really use that all the time. It's like their version of T-cut.
I have a black 370Z and I use it and it’s fine.
Thanks for letting us know your experience.
Agreed works better on black vehicles
Wash the car with soap and water after after the cleaner and then wax it!! White viniger to remove the water spots....By the way Colour magic is much better and cheaper..
Thanks for sharing. Also, I’ll have to give Colour Magic a try.
Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment.
Clay bar
Yes, that is in my future.
Thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts.
i saw the water spots after.... horrible job.
Can’t argue with that. It didn’t work on the water spots at all, so I needed to clay bar it to remove those and then re-wax.
Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment.
Not so much difference between before abd after, not value for money also!
It was a little more noticeable in person, but hard to say that it is enough better than a normal wax.
@@OurRideLife did u ever use Turtle Wax Ice premium paste wax? Whic is better?
I haven’t tried it, but will pick some up and let you know.
I just got this and waxed my challenger. It’s ok, not impressed that much and it’s messy af.
It is messy. I didn’t notice it while filming this, but when I moved the car I had black stains on my garage floor.
Thanks for watching and sharing your experience.
@@OurRideLife Thanks man!
So basically, it doesn't work.
You could say that. I think it works a bit (it at least stained my garage floor), but the difference between a normal wax was minimal. Probably be better off doing a clay bar and then a polish and wax to get a good shine.
Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment.
Not impressed
Thanks for watching. I’m looking at more products to test and we’ll see if any others do better in the near future.
It works but it’s a bitch to do it all
Yes I was very tired after doing the entire car.
