“Is it filling? Yes
Is it filling a lot? No
But it smells good” best quote
I’ve been using this stuff for a couple years. I’ve found it does pretty well filling wash induced swirl marks. Anything deeper and it was still visible.
I've used the jet black series it's good for filling in slight scratches on my black Wrangler I have switch to the ice product line after seeing the test and trying the car guys as well the Turtle Wax Ice Line is Simply Amazing it lasts for at least three months and I run mine to the carwash quite frequently
Thanks Jimbo. Great video.
I use this product on my black car and agree with what you mentioned.
Keep up the great work.
Great video. I use the product for weekly for keeping the finish up on our Black Veracruz. No it's not as good as seal and shine or the ICE line. But for the price and the fact it is easily available - it's totally worth buying.
Hi Jim. No apologies necessary for showing turtle wax products. Number one it’s your channels you can do what you want with that number two it’s still a new and different product so too bad for all the trolls who don’t like it.
Thank you so much, I to have heard the old turtle wax bad comments, actually I used to use TW liquid wax and their first spray wax years ago and was happy, stopped using their products because of negative commenters now I’m full on buying and using TW products and everything is working well for me!
Same here. Which is why I decided to try them out again and I’ve been impressed.
Can't compete with the Ice line in durability, but this is more geared towards appearance, gloss, shine and filling capabilities. If you like doing your vehicle every week or 2, Jet Black is plenty good.
Eddie L which one is that one ? “Ice Line”
What about once a year
I agree 100% my first car ever was a 2003 hyundai accent bought it used in 2012. I don't remember which one of the ice products it was but it was amazing.
I bought this at O'Reilly Auto Parts in January 2021 for my 2017 Hyundai Sonata Limited and it works great. I highly recommend it.
It for sure filled in a good amount of scratches. I've had this product sitting around for years. It left streaks when I used it but it might of been expired thats how old it is. Anyway another cool thing the solution itself is dyed. It's a black solution if you got it on a white cloth you'll see its change to black. Thats prob why it fills so good.
I am with you on Jet Black. I sucked into it a few years back even though I have not been a fan of Turtle Wax products for over 20 years. Jet Black is all hype. Seal and shine is better for clear coat and single stage paint. For my money, I use Meguiars x-press spray for maintenance. Plus I bought a gallon with about a quarter left so I continue to use it with good results. My single stage car never sees water so Meguiars works best for me. I tried Meguiars Hybrid spray but found that to be all hype. As an aside, I do like the turtle wax one and done compound and polish and will test the new wax. Maybe they (Turtle Wax) went into their conference room one day and decided to deliver a better product/value to their customers rather than how to charge more and deliver less to the necessary evils (customers). When accountants run the business, the customers become necessary evils.
TW are knocking out some great products these days!
Been using TW since 2012, its good man
Especially the Ice Line, it kicks Meguiar Ultimate line
I would love to see the comparison of the Turtle Wax Ice Line against the f11 product
Very good review Jimbo...Regards from Barcelona SPAIN
I use this stuff on my car , it actually works pretty good and easy to apply and wipe off .
It's not similar to paint correction, but it did improve the appearance of the hood.
New video yeah 💪💪💪
It's always good to know what retail products work so when your in a pinch you can run down to the store and grab some quality products👍
Exactly!
I used a turtle wax ice spray wax and it worked great. It actually hid all of my swirl marks I was very impressed.
Nice!
Looks like the Ice line def has something in them that makes them much more durable
Welcome to Jimbo's Turtlewax channel! Were we review and drool over all things Turtlewax. :p
for under 10 bucks it does a better job than most do for 17.99 or more so im sold
You could definitely see a "difference" mark. When you spray a product, on a part panel, is the panel clean? I guess I mean is the oxidation removed from the test panel so when a product is applied, it can compare? The line is great, but I might have removed the line in the video with soap and water on the non treated side. Thoughts?
Haha awesome review man, it looked like it came back from the dead :p
if anyone is going that route, get the black box by Turtle Wax. I used to use it on my 07 Ram. If you spray it on to a light color rag it will turn it black.
hey I got a wax cleaner from turtle beach I believe idk it's in a green container and it'd not liquid, it's solid wax like substance. Would that be okay to use before I use the jet black wax?
The heavy breathing alone was a dumbs down for me
I use it on my Silverado and it gives it a mirror like finish... I've been at gas station and strangers have complimented me on the reflection..
I say that it was still there just a remnant when you were finished when you got that line at the end just barely there
The black wax has a dye in it my hands and microfiber towels.
All I notice is slightly deeper black.
I did test on my panels.
Carnuba
Black
Glaze
All with sealer
Have mixed on the box of my silverado.
Thanks for the videos
👍🏻
Are you able to share the brand and/or info on the shelf board you have in your space?
nice jimbo. looks like their ICE line is where the goods are. i'll stick with their ICE spray wax and Mothers CMX. thanks bud. liked.
I use this wax all the time on my street glide and was not really impressed with it "AT FIRST" then I read to use the black liquid paste then once that step is done use that jet black spray and my bike came out perfect and it did take out them little scratches you get from dusting off your car
This is made for single stage paint. My 2017 Ford Fusion and 2018 F150 both have black single stage paint. I've used this product on both of them with great success. As a detailer you should know these things.
I talked directly with the chemist and he never mentioned it only being for single stage. Not sure where you got that from.
Question please, I took the stripes off my mini and you can see the difference of paint obviously, would this help restore it to the rest of the boot colour? Thankyou
Lol, heard the line as "let me correct myself its evaporated, not dispersed" and thought..let me add an objection...I clearly heard that wrong. ; P
Can I use Spray wax over using this spray?
And also, will this product work okay with Grey cars or trucks ?.. I've detail alot of cars this summer but no dark ones just was curious cause I do have alot of this jet black spray and wanted to know if it's safe for those things ?... Thanks......
Hi you need to do a compare those expensive clear coat to turtle Wax sealant
Hi Jimbo, I've just been to my local auto store and there selling a jet black polish and spray wax
Fancy picking this up and trying it?
It claims to clean, polish and wax paintwork...
Please could you make a video testing carplans no1 super gloss, says one application lasts 12months
I would like to see a review of.Turtle wax ice black polish. .I think it fills more than the wax
Is that paste wax ?
Charles Zhu no spray
like your videos , you probably save some of us some cash w/ your comparisons . I used to be a tw user but turned to Meguairs products and have god resuts . Fast Finish IMO is a good product as a topper . Using all of these chemicals you really should get you some Nitrite gloves . Sounds silly but you never know about all of the ingrediants that you use in your tests . keep up the good work .
Yes me in particular
Use the turtle wax black box and then use this stuff to maintain and that’s where I think this stuff works best 🤷🏻♂️
could you use this as a drying aid or when the car is dry?
What's the difference between Turtle Wax Jet Black spray detailer and spray wax?
Does look slightly better to me.
any black car swirl marks filling products? dont want to polish too much to damage clear coat
It covered some of the haze and gave it a good shine. At the end of the torture test there was still a little left after you used air to blow the panel off. In the end is it good? Not really. Is it durable? Not really. As always, Thanks for the vid! ✌
Thanks!
Thanks for the review. Actually just purchased jet black and seal n shine before i saw this video. Can you use the jet black and then use seal n shine to seal it. Thanks.
Yes for sure.
Man can you tell me how you did it? Did you immediately applied the seal n shine or did you wait for 24hrs before applying it?
Can you use it into a white panel and see the difference?
Hey what's happening thanks for sharing your videos that's what I hate about false advertise about this product I kept on wondering should I take it to a auto detailer instead 🖐👍😃🚘
Turtle wax was the business for decades, before Mcguire's products became popular, So I like having hard facts to compare. This is important to know for me because I have a black Benz truck. I love having this color, but I want to know which is the best products at a reasonable price to keep it polished looking without the smudges.
Hi Jim, another job video. Did you place to panel back under the light to see if the swirls returned?
I didn’t. But I should have. That’s a great idea
@@autodetailingpodcast
It was prominent that a line was still there. Would have been interesting to see what was there. Such as an underlying coat covering the scratches/haze or protection.
Does the seal and shine have silicone in it?? I've tried it and noticed it smudges and smears kinda
Not sure
does it work on matte black car wraps?
I love Turtle wax products. I go to your channel to get more info about Turtle wax products. i would be happy if you only featured turtle wax products!!!!
Idk if i missed it in the video, can i use this on a navy blue car ? Idk if i believe in the fact that it’s only for black cars
Yes for sure you could
Highly recommend umbrella lighting with LEDs in order to get better "Spotlight less" shots on the black.
Nevertheless. I've appreciated your most recent videos emphasized on black paint, as I've recently purchased my 1st black car and I've somewhat regretted it, due to the amount of care it requires to upkeep.
Do you have any recommendations in regards to car washing products for black cars, soap, sponges, clothes etc?
every time the intro comes on i always go "JIMBOOOOOO"
80%?
Hi Jimbo, can this be used on top of a sealant?
Ya
whats the difference between jet black spray detailer and the jet black spray wax..which is a better pick? thanks
I use both, one is used to clean the surface and take out swirl marks and light scratches and one is used to seal the cleanliness in with a layer of wax and help water bead off you’re car and protect from dirt and dust. It also deepens and shines the black colour. I’m not an expert that’s just my opinion
@@McKillroy007 Ok i see now the difference,,Thank you!
No problem. I wash my car, then use the jet black detailed and then the jet black wax. Give it a try and see what you think
@@McKillroy007 hey I got a wax cleaner from turtle beach I believe idk it's in a green container and it'd not liquid, it's solid wax like substance. Would that be okay to use before I use the jet black wax?
@@rickyrichreacts9667 I’m not sure, I’ve never used a solid wax before just the liquid spray. I believe wax is alway the last treatment you should use after using your other products
Turtle wax step up their game a lot.
another great comparison and product review jimbo. can't win them all.at least tw seal and shine still seems 2 out perform almost all products on the market at a crazy low price. b well
Use what is work for you. If you find out is unbelievable good share with us.
Dont you have to wipe in ALL directions to fill scratches?
Can someone reply?
No you don’t
Have you ever checked out Einstein coatings. They are ceramic very well priced. Between 25-35$ maybe it could be a contender when you torture test these items. Could you please check them out they are on eBay and Amazon.
I haven’t seen them
Couldn't you use this first than seal in shine over it?
Ya
Doesn't work on scratches, I have black dodge truck, I look for anything made for black paint
How is it on matte surface
Haven’t tried it
I just used it and I was not impressed. I have used the polish one and I noticed a huge difference. I know its a polish but the way they advertise could had been much better.
Could you use this on a different color? Or does it have to be a black car?
Seal N Shine VS Jet Black has to be next in line
For sure
I bought this to use on my black Harley....really didn't see a difference from the Ice Spray wax except all my Terry clothes are black. I would give this a thumbs down as I bought this last year.
Biggest mistake is you did not bring that wood outside under original SUN LIGHT🌞🌞🌞
Can you use this product first and then use the ice over it
yup .
@@autodetailingpodcast thank you so much
This spray will leave swirls and residue behind. Pull out into the sunlight your truck will look like trash. Good review though.
No it will not.
Mustang owners want their polish to smell of beef.
maybe thats why ive never owned a mustang.
Well it's not a sealer so
Look like fill 20%.
It’s abrasive
I been told the same thing about turtle wax. Always told its junk.
Jeremy Senko unfortunately I’m finding out it’s not true.
Man you put me into it. And it works nice. I'm in Buff Ny and it's been nothing but rain and cold for like the last month and it's been holding up nice. Its finally starting to get nice out over here.
Been searching for something for plastic trim own a jeep compass and the whole bottom all the way around is plastic trim. Tried a few things I'm digging the chemical guys factory finish trim aerosol. Any recommendation on anything else. I like that matte look not into the super glossy. I mean I like that trim spray but dislike that it's a aerosol spray gets messy and doesn't work good spraying onto a microfiber first.
@@senkofam - CarPro Perl mate, works on trim, door rubber and tyres if you wish, i dilute it down 50:50, so 1 bottle lasts for ages. Trim needs topped up every 6-8 weeks depending on weather.
Has anybody used this on a car that isn’t black lol
That's what I want to know, I have a purple jeep and want to know if I can use it on that
This product ruined my car. 2018 black challenger ruined with haze and halos galore that can not be removed. Used different compoubds, used dish soap, simple green. Now have to consider 800 paint correction or possibility even a new oaint job. Fuck turtle wax.
The "i dunno, let me know your opinion guys and comment below" video guy... smh.
Jet Black Spray is not as good as the liquid black wax because it's a diluted solution. Does it have longevity? No, Does it fill in swirls and minor scratches? not by much. Does it increase the shine? some. Jet Black Spray is cheap.
Who painted that hood it looks like poop
No clue - got it used
Dudes totally out of breath… Great video though
I was a little fat at the time of this cording.
@@autodetailingpodcast just playin man. I sound way worse. I vape and I could never record anything. Microphones are so damn sensitive
Ha! I hear ya.
no effect at all jet fake
Don't like that product
You talk too much, get to it
I have a podcast too
It's crap!
Another load of rubbish like the all their range
Total BS 👎🏻 it’s not working even with tiniest scratch, you don’t seem to be “credible”
