This beautiful...i just bought a bunch of wooden rounds at Hobby Lobby yesterday I've never painted on the rounds before , I paint on canvases. Do you use a primer or any kind of finish on the rounds after the paint dries I would appreciate if you could lmk what to use if any. Thank you so much and again..... beautiful painting . 😊❤
Hi there! Sometimes I prime them and sometimes I don't. The paint dries faster if you don't prime it, which can be difficult to work with. I just use a layer of white acrylic paint as the primer. And I'll just put a varnish on afterwards. I use Liquitex :) ❤️
I actually don't have any favourites! I'm pretty sure I'm just using a set of acrylic brushes by Artist Loft here, which you can get from Michaels! For the fine details, I just use any thin-tipped brush :) Sorry for the late response!!
Sorry for the late response, I just started using this channel again recently :) I do add water to acrylic sometimes! It can help with blending, and keeping the paint from drying too fast (however I've recently been using a retarder which is great too!). Hope this helps :)
Sorry for the late response, I just started using this channel again recently :) I sometimes put down a primer, which helps to produce bolder colours. I sometimes paint directly on the wood, however I've found that the wood absorbs the paint faster, so you need more paint and have to work a little faster as it dries quicker. Hope this helps :)

Thank you!! :)
Hi Alannis, Can you tell me what paintbrush you are using here? Do you have a few favorite ones that you use?

Hey! Could you tell me what size diameter is right for jobs like that? It's great, I never get that kind of thing.
Hey! :) You can use any size you'd like! The ones I use are 2.7"-3.1" in diameter :) They're great for making ornaments
Are you adding water to acrylic??

Do you think this is doable for a non painter beginner?
Sorry for the late response, I just started using this channel again recently :) I think it is! :)
gesso not required on wood slice??
