Easy Christmas Painting Tutorial - DIY Christmas Ornament Gift (Beginner Acrylic)

- I know its a little early to be getting into the holiday season, but if you have a lot of DIY Christmas gifts to make, it's time to jump on it! I wanted to share this little painting tutorial of a Christmas tree painting on a small wood ornament. In this tutorial we use only acrylic paints as I show you how to paint and make a tiny tree on a Christmas ornament for your friends and family.
This is a very simple and beginner friendly painting tutorial. If you are a beginner painter but still want to make something sweet and homemade for your loved once, this is the perfect painting for you. Happy early holidays!

I have selected one Christmas ornament every year since 1969. I put the year’s date on it every year so that I can see each one and remember that year.
Some, my children made. Some, my grand children have made. Some, I made, friends made ... some were purchased.
Each year I wonder what ornament will reach out to me for this year‘s selection.

This is so cute, and you have a beautiful voice! I watched this about 5 times so can give it shot. I'm new to painting (other than on Procreate, which I've done for a year).
Just a little advice: If you have any Mod Podge or gesso you can use that as a base so the wood won't eat all your paint up 😊

This is perfect, but is there anything you might suggest as a clear coat to protect it, but not change any of the paint colors afterwards? Thanks
I use GAC 100 as a wood sealer first. Let dry, paint, then I put on 2 coats of Deco Art Americana Dura Clear varnish.
Do you have to varnish your paintings or can they just be left like that, if you want to sell them?
Just a quick question everytime I paint I mix colors and then they run out and then I try mix them again but it looks a little different so is there anyway to prevent that? Btw this video reminds me of other Christmas tree tutorial you did!
I’d say the best way to fix this is to practice replicating colors as close as you possibly can! The more you practice, the more accurately you’ll be able to mix up the same color twice!
Just wondering, would it help to put acrylic gesso on the wood first?
