Left out the best Christmas when the village came to sing at Sandringham and George the Sixth wore a paper crown and sang with them. The last Christmas that he lived
That was so sad only a couple of months Before he died. It would have been a big Shock for the nation losing the King so long. It was a seismic shock when our Queen died even though it was expected. It was the Queen had been there so long In what had been years of so much change.
That scene got me in the feels. King George knew but his family wasn’t aware of how ill he was. I feel Princess Elizabeth knew something was going on by the way she watched him.
"Christmas Photo" was the one of the top scenes I found most impactful in the whole series. Not a word was said, and Emma Corrin managed to play the whole thing through her eyes. It was very Diana-esque. She totally encapsulated that unique experience of feeling alone in a crowded room. I nearly burst into tears!
@BabyDee72 If Diana were still alive, the trollop would not have gotten within a hundred yards of Diana's baby boy. There are no children and the palace knows it. They did not expose he and his mother and they will not expose his nonexistent children.
Love this show. Historical drama at its best. Claire Foy is fabulous. Loved her as the Duchess of Argyll as well. One of my favourite videos to make was on her.
5:13 I really wished Diana and Kate would had meet up in real life like at some point more earlier on her life before meeting William on college and later marry him to become herself the Princess of Wales.
@lapislazuli7876 I know. I was talking about on a hypothetical scenario where both of them would had crossed paths in real life. Like by some circumstance.
@@lapislazuli7876 this is my first time watching The Crown, and I'm already confused 😂 Is it based on factual events or is it a show where they think 'this is how things went in The Family'?
gosh what an actress Diana was, we all look at the photos and are green with jealously, 'what a life' we all think, even though we all know that any relationship touted "a fairy tale" surely isn't all that. Knowing what we know now, that the marriage was virtually over before it began, Camillia visited Charles in Buckingham Palace the night before his wedding. I think The Crown did a great job of portraying this relationship. Even when William was a new born, on their trip to Australia (their first) Charles was constantly calling Camilla. Honestly Diana never had a chance, combine that with her youth, her insecurity complex, her bulimia, it was just a mess from the word 'go'. Any woman Charles picked would have faced Camilla, but they probably would have been more open about it, Charles and Diana managed to fool everyone except family and close staff for years.
I blame Diana's sisters and Diana's parents for pushing her into it. They should've been able to see it was a bad idea and they all would've known about Camilla. I also blame the queen and prince Philip who pushed Charles into marriage despite knowing he was smitten with Camilla. People forget that Earl Spencer and Diana's mother were complicit. No one was looking out for that 19 year old girl.
Charles was a selfish jerk. This attitude he had towards Diana was sickening. He could have hidden better. He could have respected her more. The fact is he was MARRIED to Diana. She deserved a heck of A LOT better from him. He was selfish even to Camilla.
Claire Foy's voice sounds more like QE2 when she was in her 40s and 50s, as she matured. In her young years as a Queen her voice was very high-pitched.
The queen had a horrid voice when she was young and there was great scandal when an MP said she sounded like a school girl. It causes outrage at the time but it was true. The queen had a dreadful speaking voice. Her accent was like cut glass and she shrieked.
@@lapislazuli7876 American comedienne Carol Burnett used to do an impression of a modern-day queen, and I think QE2 was her source of inspiration. In the early or mid 1970s when Carol performed as queen in her sketch TV show, she sounded just how QE2 sounded circa 1940s-1960s. She had high-pitched "schoolgirl" sound that the QE2 had.
They didn't just decide. This has always been how she's seen in our community. I'm assuming you don't know much about the family or how she desperately bred Kate to be what she is now.

I doubt very much that Catherine met princess Diana when she was 15!!!! I have never heard that event took place. She never met Diana. Is that another bit of artistic licence from the producers of the Crown? Goodness me, so much make believe!
The girl they got to play Kate doesn’t even look like Kate. Camilla luddington looked more like Kate in the lifetime movie than the girl they got in the Crown
Only very shallow people are concerned with resemblance. Acting is about skill, and inhabitation of the mannerisms and voice and personal tics of a character. Colin Firth does not look like George VI not Helena Bonham Carter like Elizabeth the QM, but they both smashed those roles in The King’s Speech. I fail to understand why so many people demand resemblance. It shows a weak understanding of the art.
@@Kate-lk6twsorry that's incorrect. It's important that the actors resemble greatly their originals. It doesn't matter how much life skill acting is involved, they DO need to resemble them a great deal. Not just a little. The actres that played Kate wasn't very pretty. Sorry. And that takes away from who the character was
Catherine meeting William and Diana on the street selling the Big Issue back in 1996. Never read about that one before. Can't be true. We would have heard over and over if Catherine actually met Princess Diana for sure.

She has Harry and 2 other grandbabys. She loved visiting the USA.
