  • 3 stitches is all it will take to hang your quilt. The hanging sleeve is made with.3 squares of fabric stitched down with 3 stitches. This is a clean and beautiful way to hang your quilt.

Wow this is great!! Best hanging option I’ve seen yet! I am going to skip the double fold though, sew the half triangles inside out, stuff them right side out and then attach using your method, less fabric in the binding then and as long as the rod is short enough, it still won’t show out the sides of the quilt. Thanks!

This was fantastic. I have quilts to hang for an upcoming show, some quite large, and yours is the first hanging method that hasn't given me a headache to watch or achieve. Thank you so much!!

I have watched (and learned from) many of your youtube videos over the last few years and I see that this video is from 9 years ago and I am just now seeing it. I love this idea for hanging quilts! I have used other, somewhat similar options over the years, like corner triangles, with and without a smaller sleeve in the middle, a split sleeve, etc, but I have never even seen this option! I will definitely be using this technique! Thanks for sharing!

You are a life saver. I just finished quilting 12 wall hangings for a memorial event, and learned I’m expected to bind and sleeve each one as well. I was dreading the amount of hand stitching until I saw your video. I’m bowing and scraping at your feet. Thank you !!!

With your techniques and tips. I can’t wait to try this one with the sleeves. I always forget about adding sleeves til after I’m completely finished but I will add this tip to my wall of “don’t forgets”. I’m a visual learner. Thank you for making these videos!

Awesome idea to use. For me, sleeves could be sewn before the binding, ready to hang just in case I want to hang it later. If it's part of completing the quilt, more likely to hang it because I won't have to bother with putting a sleeve on, it's all ready. Must remember to do it before binding! Than will be my challenge..lol

How do you get the second end of the dowle (not an expandable rod) in to the second teepee fold when it is longer than than the angle of the triangle allows? I’m thinking smaller triangles will minimize this problem? I love the versatility of this design and also that I have “stowed away” some scraps for future use right there on the quilt! Ingenious!

@@SewVeryEasy hi Laura i have been on contact with a friend and ex judge regarding your method this is her reply. NOTE THIS IS FOR THE UK-
" I haven't seen that method of quilt hanging before but it looks simple and effective. As far as I know there is no instruction as to what method you use to hang your quilt. All you need to do is make sure it hangs in the best way to show off your quilt. At shows they like at least 4 inches depth to make sure the rods will go through."
