Nirvana is such a big influence on me. They’ve inspired so much.
Wow!!! Aaron Lewis Nailed those songs.👍 Stainds first album "dysfunction" is great!!!
scott stapp did the best eddie vedder impersonation i ever saw. right down to wearing exactly the same jacket and shorts eddie was wearing when i saw pj live. like the 'great value' pearl jam.
Bush was great. They definitely fit the “grunge” genre, but a “copy” of Nirvana? No way. Show me one riff, or line that copy’s Nirvana. You can’t.
The two things that reminds you of anything grungy is the husky tone or Rossdale's voice and maybe the guitar tone in some tracks. That's about it.
People Always Compare or say that Bush & Silverchair were Nirvana Ripoffs. They both had influenced from Nirvana but each band had their own original sound it just happened that Bush & Silverchair came out the same year Cobain passed away. They got call Nirvana wannabe so much both bands try hiding their Nirvana Influence (even though on Silverchair second album "Freak Show" the song "Lie to me" sounds very similar to Nirvana "Tourette's") ...
The band that Never gets called Nirvana Ripoff is Blink 182 (Yes Musically they sound Nothing like Nirvana, but the Influence is Definitely there) as in the song "Adams Song" they use two lines from "Come As You Are" and later on they use a Smiley face logo which is obviously a ripoff of Nirvana Smiley face logo T-shirt. And I don't know if this is just coincidence or intentionally but how Tom Delong plays his guitars with a Single Humbucker, Volume knob, Input Jack, (Kurt had in November 1988 & July 1989 two Fender Mustangs with only a Humbucker, Volume Knob, Input Jack) and In Feb 1990 & April 1990 Kurt used 3 Home Made Hybrid Mustangs which were made from different Guitar parts, (they all had the same model Chandler Necks with the Headstock painted Black, the same Black Maxon Humbuckers, Schaller Non-Tremolo bridges, Mustang Control Plates, with just a Volume Knob and Input Jacks, the "Mustang" bodies were made from wood and painted in a garage. Only difference between the three of them is the Finish, each had a different style Volume Knob and the first one had a Fernandes Neck plate and a Black Pickguard with a Christ Gethsemane art print on it, it was Light Blue, had a Black Univox Hi-Flier Volume Knob, and Strap Buttons on the upper horn and tail reinforced with Duct tape. (Used 02/14/90 at the Kennel Club, San Francisco, CA and was smashed the same day), the Second one was Shell Pink with a Black Speed Knob, (and was used on the last 3 songs of their 02/16/90 Bogart's Long Beach, CA show where it was smashed). And the third and Final one Was Identical to the Shell Pink one but was painted Light Blue/Surf Green and had a Gold Metallic Barrel-Shaped Speed Knob It also had the Strap Button Installed under the neck rather then the upper horn like the first two, (It was used on April 27, 1990 to April 30, 1990). But I actually think it was used and smashed on May 1st 1990 as at the end of that show Kurt Smashed his Sunn Beta Lead Amp Head with his guitar, and someone In the audience bought the smashed Amp Head from Kurt for $150. As Kurt bought an Aria Pro II Cardinal Series CS-250 guitar and a Mesa Boogie Studio Preamp and Crown Power Base 2 Poweramp on May 2, 1990 before their show at the Milestone, Charlotte, NC) so if Kurt did smash it on April 30, 1990 Kurt wouldnt have had a guitar to play at the May 1, show so I think it was smashed on May 1, 1990, at the Cats Cradle, Chapel Hill, NC (this last Homemade Mustang is more known as it was seen in the Sub Pop version of the "In Bloom" Music Video which those parts were filmed at the April 28, 1990 show at Maxwell's, Hoboken, NJ (which was only 45 minutes away from my house).
So Basically with my Rant, Blink 182 ripped off Nirvana with using two lines of "Come As You Are" in their song "Adam's Song", Used a Smiley Face logo very similar to the Nirvana Smiley Face logo, and then the coincidence or Intentional Fact that Tom Delong has his guitars with only one Humbucker, Volume Knob and Input Jack, (as Cobain personally had 5 guitars stock like that, two modified Fender Mustangs and 3 Homemade Parts caster Hybrid Mustangs).
Everything Zen. Any other questions?
@@travzimmerman1340 I don’t think so..
Right On Bro
Oleander was a pretty good group
I never would have guessed Lana del ray
Most nirvana videos I watch has that chorus song in the background
Bush is underrated they were great
I think Staind was influenced by all the big Grunge bands not just Nirvana. Staind also cover alot of AIC songs & have a song called Layne & AIC are known for sad songs. Also Creed is definitely influenced by Pearl Jam & some AIC with the music & yarling. I think Puddle of Mudd is the biggest culprit of ripping Nirvana's sound. Silverchiar is also close but they obviously ripped off other grunge bands not just Nirvana.
Nickleback's singer does a Kurt voice on most of their songs.
If you were to make a third video on this topic, the bands should be weezer, taking back sunday, and post malone.
Nirvana stole from the Pixies and Husker Du, and on it goes.
Nirvana, and many others, said Minneapolis was better...(
by your mind no one is original like beatles jimi hendrix black sabbath and ramones, they all had influence like nirvana it is normal to influenced by other bands stop being elitist and enjoy the music
@@nirvanaduhg That's exactly what I wrote half wit
@@kidthump oh my wrong lol
Yeah protective of Kurt’s work image and legacy because it helps her pocket book it’s not out of respect for Kurt

Those Oleander songs barely sound like Nirvana😂
Sun Puddle are the closest thing ever to Nirvana
