We are back! And it is a big video! Thanks for the patience. Hope it was worth it.
I’ve been waiting for your videos for what feels like forever.
Please never do that again 😭😭❤❤
Edit: Great vid tho keep it up 👍
Awesome video! I have some questions about the breathing too, so you said to breath less air more often, especially during meets, should I also breath every two strokes durning practice then too? Or should I do something different?
Excellent explanation and tips, you gained a subscriber and I got a coach with this video 😊😁
Thanks for sharing your knowledge and your life story.
They are both amazing.
Awesome and Respect!!!!!!!!
Wow the animation is a million times better. The strokes looks really really smooth. Might be even better than a human
I am one person that you have helped. I swim so amazing now that swim instructors ask me if i am a professional swimmer. I just tell them no i am learning and my instructor is youtube. They cannot believe i can apply youtube lessons and have taught myself without anyone watching me. I have done a lot of your steps. Thank you
This is the best channel I've found on UA-cam, explaining swimming techniques....Congratulations, this is wonderful.
Wow, thank you!
@@SkillsNTgreat video. As someone that also learned English as a second language, I now understand why you call Aaron and Denyse the way you do. It’s almost like a secret code…
One of THE BEST if not THE BEST swimming tutorial I have found. Thank you!!! This is A LOT of work and only a love of the sport would fuel your effort. I learned so much from you.
what is the best then?
This may be the best swimming video I ever watched throughout my swimming journey. You created a masterpiece. For sure, me and those around me, will become better swimmers after this. Thank you so much for your knowledge, time and effort put it this video!
This is the loveliest swimming video, ever. It has doses of humanity and perspective, but also bridges the gap especially for adult swimmers who can overthink EVERYTHING. Well done, and thank you. You and Brenton Ford are the only two sources of swimming information anyone needs. Really superb, abrazos mi amigo.
Hey buddy, awesome video! I've been swimming since I was 2, went to nationals in Mexico until I was 19, stopped swimming for 13 years and recently started swimming again. I'm glad I ran into your videos, shines light into swimming mysteries, I'm starting to have fun and at the same time getting smoother, lots to learn and practice! Thank you !
I love how informative this video is, and the graphics are very helpful and engaging, thank you so much for this video!
Glad you enjoyed it!
I've been swimming for almost 10 years now, most of the years competitively and now I race triathlons. But I am still learning so much from this one video
I am so grateful for all that you have done so far. I feel completely swimming and you are one of the best instructors.
Happy Holidays coming to you , teams and your family. ❤from MN
these are literally reflex patterns.. you are great
This is the most valuable content I've ever seen on UA-cam. Genuinely, thank you. Brought tears in my eyes.
😳 Thank you for your kind words
this is the single most informative and useful swimming lesson video i've seen on youtubed. Encompasses almost everything and in such details. Thank you so much for sharing!
I love the story telling and the "days of future past" illustration. It is so educating and aptly captures the common problems and challenges of all categories of swimmer and the possible solutions to the challenges are proffered. Great job.
What an amazing video!!! Congrats! Thanks for all the knowledge you spread, I've learned a lot with you! PS: the animations are awesome :)
Glad you like them!
Gracias!!
This video gave me great insights about not only swimming, but also teaching!
Keep up the incredible work.
Yes! Great to hear that.
I seriously still cannot comprehend how genius this video is. You're out of this world, maybe that's why you have a time machine. :) @SkillsNT
I have never seen a more helpful, well made video on UA-cam.
Thank you!
Bless you!
Thank you! 😄
This is the best video I've ever watched to enhance my swimming wisdom. Great Scott Man.😊
Thank u for this coach! I also got a glimpse into ur own emotional journey of growth and transformation. It almost felt autobiographical I addition to being a wealth of knowledge. And the illustrations were to die for. You are so talented! Thank u so much for sharing this and may u hit ur world record at whatever age u aspire to. Thank u once again!
I am so grateful for all that you have done so far. I feel completely swimming and you are one of the best instructors.
Happy Holidays coming to you , teams and your family. from MN
Thank you so much for creating this helpful video! Your clear and easy-to-follow illustrations have really made a difference in my swimming technique. I feel much more confident in the water now, all thanks to your guidance. Keep up the fantastic work!
Just so phenomenally done. From the animation to the lessons to the humor to the wisdom, just a true masterpiece!
I have been doing these exercises in hot vinyasa yoga classes for 12 years. Planks, side planks, boat pose, arm balances, all kinds of strength training that gives one agility, balance, strength. That and we do powerful breathing. But I am just learning to swim and while I am glad I have such flexibility and core strength, the NOT breathing in and out all the time through my nose is my weak point. Holding my breath a long time is not something I am trained in. I am grateful for the tips so I can learn this new activity that, along with yoga, I plan to do for life.
Amazing video! Thank you for all you do/ teach. I'm a better swimmer now than ever due to the simplicity and illuminating instruction you've presented since discovering this channel. Keep up the good work.
That is very kind of you
I learnt to swim from youtube at the age of 28, and your channel was the best of all the channels I've seen, thanks ❤ from Morocco
One more awesome video. I subscribed your channel and you improved my swimming a lot. Even though, my swimming is not regular and still i feel some little correction required in it, you people boosted my life by showing scientific approach to swimming. Three cheers for your achievements 🎉
If there are awards for UA-cam videos, this should get one. So well done and check full of info throughout its length. Thx
That's very nice of you. Thank you!
I am not/never been an athlete and I am a beginner at swimming in my fifties. I watched for a few tips and finished feeling inspired. Thank you so much for your hard work. I easily injury myself constantly (on land due to hyper mobility ) and have been given various exercises included in your five pillars. I had previously dropped the exercises as soon as I felt better as I didn’t appreciate how they could help day to day (then re-injure 😅), however this video has shown me functional and aspirational purpose. What a boost and motivation! I’m now excited to continue my rehabilitation knowing it will also help me to swim.
Yes! That's great news. I'm glad this helped
wow - so much good advice on the seemingly little things to watch out on.
i love the humble, heart-warming and yet confident way you did this!
Glad it was helpful!
Please Turkish subtitles because there is no channel in our country that teaches the intricacies of swimming like you do.
I'm trying to understand something with UA-cam translation, but it's not always understood...
But still, it is a very valuable channel for me, it has taught me a lot. Thank you very much for this, I am grateful.
I'll put the automatic translation
The subtitles have been added. I hope they are ok.
@@SkillsNT I think it's much better... I'm watching it from the beginning again right now. Thanks a lot... =)
@@SkillsNT Thanks and greetings from Turkey.
Thank you. I did what you said spontaneously, without anyone’s help. Only breathing helped me in two strokes, reducing my breathing to four strokes.
So happy to see this, I thought you had gone for a long time, especially when the website went down. But you came out with this masterpiece instead.
We are still here! 🙌🏻 Thank you for watching
Great to have you back. Excellent video.
Thank you!
I just found out his video and i know that all the exercices you showed here can be used for other disciplines like tennis, fencing and climbing too. Core exercices for stability, strength and mobility. Shoulder exercices for the same reasons, and it applies to the feet as well.
Recién terminé de ver el video completo
Qué bueno!!!
No tiene desperdicio
Es muy interesante
Me planteé ver un solo capítulo y no pude dejarlo….
Bravo!!!
Shalom from Israel
Gracias! Saludos!
This video is a truly comprehensive and deeply explanation about the key points of swimming
🤩 Gracias!
16:50 yeah!
Went on vacation this week, I planned to go to the swimming pool. Didn’t visit for a while.
The first thing which caught me off guard was how hard it is to control your breathing while swimming. I had a recovery swimming session. Little by little I noticed that I swim faster by rotating my body. I also noticed that it’s easier if your arms are straight but you still need to bend them.
All in all, balance is truly a key in swimming ❤
I was surpised at the quality of the film. Well done!
Thanks for the video!! It is very insightful and encouraging to do self exploration on swimming and self-practicing!!!
This is the most informative, useful yet simple swimming video i have ever seen
Great video, have been looking for this type of approach for years. Thanks.
I learned to swim with decent breaststroke and "arrow" technique in a couple of weeks by watching those videos and trying to apply them by myself. Great, cohesive and precise knowledge here. Thank you.
That is awesome!
Wowza! The breathing technique worked. Monday i was ole school (from 20 years ago) going 3 or 4 strokes before taking a breath and ran out of steam, just like i did many years ago, then Tuesday after watching your video, i tried breathing every other stroke and was shocked when i made it across the whole pool. Life changing. Thanks so much
Great job!
Great! I have a question. For a sprinter do you suggest only race pace and sprint training or is Better to include also aerobic set?
Excellent lecture!!! You remain my most favorite swim coach :)
I can attest to all your points. I figure out the breathing on my own. Every two was most difficult at first but now it becomes the easiest. I can swim longer by every two shallow inhale exhale. My core is not that strong. My spine is not as flexible as i’d like. I can feel the limitation trying dolphin kick and breaststroke kickoff (balance suffers a bit). I need to work my arms. Using paddles helps my arms not get tired but it’s not enough. I have been working on ankle and toe strength/flexibility for some years mainly for dancing, running, and hiking. The effort translates to swimming. In water I often envision my feet become my fishtail.
Good luck and go for your goal
I feel like I want to see that Pixar movie now that was in the video 😁 Thanks for the post!
Super intelligent video! Makes swimming tips interesting when using the storytelling technique. I love your videos! Please never stop! ☺💪
I laugh my ass off watching your videos. At the same time you have the best content. 👍thanks for keeping me motivated to go swimming and learn how to do it better.
Also love the illustrations, graphics and stories. Amazingly done!
awesome quality , love the animations & graphs
The best explanation I found till now. Thank you
you are best swimming youtuber
🤗
so good. Thank you for the entertaining and rewarding video.. so much fun listening and doing some of these techniques. I hope to do them all. Best!
This spring i switched from breathing every 3 to every 2 strokes. It was a game changer.
Hey, great video! Very complete and interesting. It must have been a lot of work to produce all that. Congratulations again for all your content, keep up your great work!
Thank you! It was a ton of work. I thought I would never finish 😄
Bravo, what a stunning video put in a great LIFE STORY: I was thinking about learning to ride a bike as a skill set before you got there. I am 62 and still trying to better myself as an athlete: Mobility, strength, speed.endurance etc. But skill-for swimming & many things is not easy to be attain. Learing & improvement is a life long pursuite in many things. e.g. Martial Arts-Aikido: It is sometimes said greatness can never be achieved. Great thought provoking & very helpful video. Can't wait to put into practice.
So much time waiting for this, it's great to listen to you again
Hope you enjoyed it!
Such a great video! Useful and inspirational. Thank you.
Thank you!
Gracias.
This made me cry. I wish I could start swimming younger 🏊♂️
Really enjoy your videos. Very helpful. Thank you.
you kicked off my Alexa ad it said 'no one has been known to have invented the time machine'......... animation and delivery is superb.....advice and ideas seem excellent too. thank you.
Sorry 😅 I didn't think of that. You Alexa wasn't as creative as mine 🤪
you are a true inspiration ! Im gonna order the book and im gonna read the heck out of it )) thank you so much .
You are one of the best gifted instructor I have ever met this UA-cam channel .I wish you could show me in practical in the pool . awesome nice meeting you.
this is the best swimming lesson! I've made progress faster than anybody in our class. thank you for sharing your wisdom ^_^
You're so welcome!

5-Flexibility of your legs
By far your best video to date. Thank you!
Wow, thanks!
I often feel like I'm drowning in information but starving for wisdom. Your video presentation gave me the wisdom. Thank you sir!👍👍👍
That's a very nice compliment! Thank you!
This will definitely help my swimming! Thank you thank you thank you!!
Estoy sorprendido
Gracias!
Thank you teacher for the video! really wonderful! make it easier and longer lasting! congratulations !!!!
You are welcome!
Thks for your help from France to improve and swim better 😊
Amazing video. Thanks a lot.
I breath every three strokes because of simetry. And if for some reason I miss a breath i can cope with it with no problem. Changing to two strokes seems weird, but I'll try.
Interesting! Yeah give it a try
Besides the swimming, u r a phenomenal storyteller or should I start calling you a life coach?
😯 Thank you! That's very kind of you.
This is a fantastic video, thank you! Gotta agree too, I did not understand balance or why it was important until I started diving!
Glad it was helpful!
Qué chévere! A masterclass in both swimming and storytelling - mil gracias! xx
Appreciate your efforts very much time and generously done 👍
It's incredible that this video is for free. It's really great!
Thank you!
You are welcome!
Welcome back then.. :) Such a great video !
Thank you!! 😊
Gracias 😁
I love this video‼ I use a Quantum Jumping technique to jump over to myself that never stops swimming and became a elite Olympic athlete. I am 63 years old and been doing this technique for The Last 5 Years. Not to boast or brag but I'm as fast as most 21-year-olds. I swim one discipline and that's freestyle.
I'm training to be a a World Triathlon champion by the time I'm 70 to 75. Thanks for all your help. 🚴 🏃 🏊
This is so inspirational I never sow a video like this. Super super great! keep going !
I love the video and the animation figures!
Thank you!
So touching and so cheering, thx, never think about swimming like this, Even I swam for over thirty years, u spired me,.
My first comment. Was waiting for so long for a video from you!
Wow, this is a great video! my daughter keeps watching it over and over, congrats for this awesome content, I'm going to pass this along to fellow swimming dads
Wow, thank you!
Hey! Great video! Could you give a little bit more details on how long and often one should do the the second and third core exercise? Thanks a lot!
A beginner swimmer here, thank you for this video. It all just fits :)
Very educational video not only for swimming.
Your observations, trial and error, self experimentation, research and analysis, creative thinking, diligence, concept connection and presentation, as well as humor, create an unmatched, brilliant teaching model for the world. I could go on, but then where would I stop? Rare find; rare kind. Kudos!
Wow, you are too kind! Thank you!
@@SkillsNT Not at all, i just recognize your gifts, abilities, and result of bringing them together… my gift is recognizing yours! Ha!
Thank you, I'm half a decade, just learning to swim and this hi interesting
Excellent video. 👍🏿. Wish these was a literal book
Maybe one day!
Swim fast. Your effort is priceless.
Great segment!!
Great effort and great information, I really congratulate you.
