      so why is it that in the top 10 of most gold medals there isn't a single swimmer other than micheal phelps lol? If it were true that swimmers got more gold medals than other athletes then they would dominate the top 10s but they don't...
      It's extremely rare for a swimmer like MP to dominate all these events as well. Just like how rare it would be for a sprinter to dominate the 100 200 400 and 800! MP can do that but for swimming, it's unheard of

      using Lance Armstrong against every exceptional gold medalist is really thin, logically speaking. and also, training as hard does in no way equal training as effectively, otherwise most of the Chinese, under quasi-military training regimes, should round up far more gold than the US and mostly in sport events we Chinese hardly hear of .

    Christ Peaty destroyed that field, James Guy did very well too, almost matched Phelps. Hopefully those two young guys get a strong backstroke or front crawler to go with them.

    • @yibambe4ever74
      @yibambe4ever74 8 років тому +11

      James Guy was fast but if u search for the split he was a second more slower than Phelps! Tom Shields could've hunted Guy down too, he split a 50.6 last year in the medley relay in Kazan!

      @MahiTanMazy 8 років тому +3

      Swimmer I did say he was slower than Phelps, considering how strong a swimmer Phelps is he did very well to be very slightly behind him at the end. Didn't matter for much considering the mismatch in the front crawl, but he did well nonetheless. As far as I'm aware him and Adam Peaty are highly rated in the UK swimming circle
