You asked about the vlogs. I think you are doing great. Your vlogs are top notch, and you should continue to be you. As always, Alex perfect. Thanks for sharing 👍

Went up Kinder for the first time yesterday. It's amazing even in December. Can't wait to see it during the spring/summer months.

Another great video Alex. I was up there earlier this year and although a bit windy it was sunny + bright. Tent looks a good one!

Thank you very much Peter! Always seems to be windy up on Kinder doesn’t it!

Great video Alex! Shame about the cloudy night, would be great to incorporate a clear night time-lapse or other night sky views into your wild camping vids, it's not something anyone else seems to do and seems such a waste. Are they trail running or walking shoes you're wearing? They look like something I could do with.

    • @alexcripps.outdoors

Thank you very much! Yes it was a real shame, hoping next time I can get a clear night and see what the GoPro is capable of capturing. They are trail running shoes indeed, La Sportiva Jackals, unless it’s horrendous weather I always wear trail shoes, find them a lot more comfortable especially for long distances 👌

That was a great video Alex! What a place Kinder is, I never tire of it and still find new parts to explore or scramble over. As I write this, it is only a few days until I am back there and Kinder will definitely feature on at least one walk. Your tent seems to be a good choice, gonna have to take a look at one of those. I know what you meant about fires, I am still upset at the damage in Parkin Clough, it’s a completely unnecessary travesty caused by some absolute idiots with no respect for the park. As regards sleeping in tents, I sleep best the more knackered I am, so a long hike to a wild camp is my best strategy. Unfortunately that means you’ll need to hike about 40 miles 🤣🤣 Join the queue to live in Edale, I would love to live there and have all that wonderment on my doorstep 😃👌 Paul Messener and Andrew Beavers are so inspirational, aren’t they? Andrew should have ten times the subscribers he currently has, he’s a legend and some of his camps are just epic in all weathers and in very remote places. Awesome!

Thank you so much Greg!! Really appreciate the kind words as always! That’s the beauty of Kinder I’ve been up multiple times but still feel as though I’ve only scratched the surface, so much to see and explore! Yes it’s a real shame that a small amount of people can ruin it for everyone! Both make fantastic videos don’t they!! Could watch them all day. Thanks again Greg, really appreciate it and hope you have an awesome time up in the Peaks!!! 😁👍

You found a cracking spot there...i need to get out again for a night in the hills....as wild camping video's go, this is perfect.i am not a gear geek... i usually turn off when people go on about what gear they have, sleep systems etc...best just to showcase the wonderful countryside....Steven

I know what you mean about getting inspiration from the other youtubers but your doing your own thing and doing it very well, I almost started to copy others styles/concepts but a friend said "just be you, that's what people want to see" good advice I thought. This video is a piece of art mate, be yourself and keep showing us you. 👌 If your going to the moors check out Skelton tower, it's an awesome place to camp, ive got a video of a wild camp I did with my wife their if your interested. Cheers Stu

Beautiful video as always Alex - especially enjoyed the music on this one. We love to watch your videos even though we live in Edale and go up on Kinder a lot. It's great to learn about the other places that you explore too. I watch Paul's and Andy's videos as well and appreciate yours in the same (but also different) ways. Its just lovely to see the landscape through your eyes and words, how you experience and appreciate it. Your tent looked so good that we've ordered one this week ready for winter camping, so thanks for sharing that too!

Thank you so much Sarah! Very jealous that you live in Edale, definitely my dream place to live in the Peaks! Amazing that you ordered the tent!! I’ve been extremely happy with it so far especially considering the cost of it, want to put it to the test this winter and see how it copes with some more extreme weather. Thanks again Sarah really appreciate the kind words!

Thank you Andrew! There was no water at all in the majority of the cloughs which was crazy to see! Grindsbrook was flowing but not at its usual level/pace!

Another cracking video Alex! First you got me back out and about doing huge walks (mostly the guts to start going solo). Now, I'm looking at tents to make the walks bigger and to start wild camping! Can't thank you enough, great content and you seem like a proper down to earth chap. Your hands looked rather red coming through a few of them gates... Glad I'm not the only one with extremities going funny colours with wind/temperature! Keep it up mate x

Thank you so much!! What a lovely message, so glad to hear you’re getting out on some solo adventures! Can be daunting to start with but solo hikes and camps are some of my favourite memories I’ve had out in the hills and mountains! Yes, my hands always turn red especially when it’s hot! Well spotted! Thanks again really appreciate the kind words and hope you have many more adventures in the outdoors!
