    Did my first wild camp last weekend, also on kinder scout. Such a euphoric and freeing feeling when you've just posted up your tent and can just take it all in. Really does help with mental health. It's videos like this that inspired me to get out there and do it. Can't wait to go back!

    lovely video, I used to walk around Kinder Scout many times in the 1970's with my dad, happy memories. It is still a beautiful, awesome place.

    Hello 👋 my outdoors friend, thank you for the tag alongmy. Greetings from the West of the U S. In Northern California. You're doing a fine job of filming in the very picturesque countryside. All the best to you. Stay safe out there. 😊

    Wonderful video as always mate, I was there only a few days ago and I agree there’s nothing better for clearing the head than being there. Thank you for sharing

    Another great video which brings back happy memories for this Yank of my time living in GB and hiking around the country. The videos look so effortless but I know they are a lot of work to produce. Thanks!

    Great to see you back in the glorious Peak District, especially on Kinder. You are looking very well! I loved those drone shots, such a beautiful place and it was very cool to see different angles of Grindsbrook. It reminded me how steep the final section is, although I still prefer the nice little scramble over various waterfalls surround by those massive rock walls on the right hand fork near the top (at least when the flow of water is low or zilch 😁). It’s been a busy day at work, in a tiring heatwave of nearly 30C and your video has really helped me to relax and let go of the stress. Only 4 weeks to go and I’m back up in Hayfield. Thank you 👍

    I was there two weeks ago. Went straight up from Edale to Ringing Roger and then headed east, mainly to get away from airplane noises lol. Am in love with the place.
    Good video as always Alex!

    Respect for getting those early shots - the back and forth to the camera is like double the hike. Also loved the shot just before the Drone footage of eating looking at the Great Ridge. Really is what it's all about - content, quiet and peaceful man. I miss it but love these videos to take me back.

    Great video, always love the music choices and the drone footage, I've not done any real running, injured my right achilles tendon, rested totally for 2 weeks which nearly drove me insane, now walking but not far or fast.

    Super video Alex! As another has said, the drone shots were awesome! Must get up there again soon now that nature has ‘exploded’ with all the greenery etc. I second the recommend about the Penny Pot cafe, it is a favourite of mine. Just a quick question, if you can answer. What shoes did you have on to climb the clough? I always seem to use my heavy boots, but would like to use something lighter but up to the job. Thanks for all your videos. Even when I have not been out for a bit, just watching where you go does me good.

    Nice video again Alex 👌That route up and down from Grindslow to the perimeter footpath is a tough little one and more of a slide than a walk when its wet coming down but i like that too . Did you not find that pitch a bit on the slopey side ? I have always dismissed that one even though the views are fantastic because its not what i would call ideal but that might just be me getting on a bit 😉

    What a beautiful and peaceful video, thank you! I'm going on a walking holiday on Friday and this got me right in the mood. What are the rules regarding wild camping in England?

    • @esotericman22
      @esotericman22 2 місяці тому

      There is no wild camping allowed in England except certain areas of Dartmoor. There are campaigning groups trying for years to change the law but they've gained no traction. Wild campers that do risk it have a few unwritten laws. 1) Arrive late and leave early. 2) No fires. 3) Leave no trace. Follow these simple steps and generally speaking you'll be fine. Happy camping.

      @@alexcripps.outdoors I think it was me, lovely pitch up there on a beautiful day. Wish you had popped over to say hello, I was there again yesterday going up Grindsbrook and thinking about the video when you told me there was an easier path on the right in the comments!
