100 Kickflips In The NEW Vans Skate Classics by Corey Glick

CCS presents 100 Kickflips in the new Vans Skate Classics Old Skools with Corey Glick (with a special bonus 5 or so kickflips and a Nollie backside heel in the new Vans Skate Classics Authentics by CCS’ own Matt Price).
Vans went and redesigned their entire original line of shoes with skateboarding in mind to bring us the all new Vans Skate Classics. Striking that perfect balance between boardfeel and durability without losing any of the heritage look, these Vans have been recreated to be skated.
Being the scientific chaps that we are, we wanted to see how these new Vans performed first hand. So we met with Vans Pro Corey Glick in Tustin, CA to give ‘em the old 100 kickflip wear test.

yeah and why call a 'duracap' a duracap when it's just not very durable at all lol. I could be wrong, but don't they charge the same price for the canvas versions of their shoes too? I don't hate Vans for skating, don't get me wrong. But their value tends to be dodgy and marketing kind of suspect.

There's an ex-vans pro who I used to skate with who swore by the canvas slip-ons because they don't stretch out like suede shoes do. I'm guessing they keep the side of the oldskool canvas for the same reason, although they could at least wrap the suede around a bit like they do on the era because the suede toecap is pretty much useless as it is.

Lmoa dude has no idea what he said. The insole is slimmed down by a bit. Design was changed. The heel is taller to keep your heel locked in as well with an added elastic band, padding around the collar was reduced a bit, they added a kind of plate or something to that the rubber out sole wouldn’t be flexible just flat which is perfect for bmx now too. The pro tan now checkerboard pattern.

Too much support in the Pros ?!?! Hell no dude... Its why the different insole is not an improvement at all. In fact, PLEASE make them the same thickness along the entire length, because there's no primo impact protection towards the toes at this point. I'm sure people who like Vans skate shoes will not dislike this 'new' shoe line, but it's really only a 5% improvement with some things not changing for the better IMHO. Oh and it's still a 70 to 90 bucks shoe that doesn't last very long.
