- '6345789' - Glenn Frey with Little River Band - Melbourne Entertainment Centre (August 12th, 1988). This Wilson Pickett song was suggested by Glenn Frey as our last encore song for the short LRB Oz tour, with Glenn as our special guest
There's never been another like the 'Original' "Little River Band" , this group and its founding members, Beeb Birtles, Glenn Shorrock, Graeham Goble, Ric Formosa, David Briggs, Roger McLachlan, George McArdle and Derek Pellicci caught my attention way back in my freshman year at high school. These guys had a distinctive sound, their harmonies blew me away, never had i'd heard a band playing 'Live', sound so close or better than their LP. I followed these guys as they took the U.S. by storm, they were my all time favorite. I'll never forget Glenn Fry telling the story about the 'Original' band and its members, how him and the rest of the 'Eagles' members use to sneak backstage, just to listen to them practicing their vocals during rehearsals before going on stage. He (Glenn Frey) said that they, the (Little River Band) were the 'Best' harmonizing group ever, i couldn't agree more. I couldn't believe my ears when i heard the news, that Glenn Fry had passed away, may he Rest in Peace !

It's hard to comprehend Glen Frey's death,I seen them only last year he was in fine form,he sang my life word for word.

Oh, how I love this band, and to have Glenn Frey perform with them is a double plus for me. I saw somewhere that the Eagles said they thought that Little River Band was the best band ever! I’m sure Glenn Frey must have been thrilled to perform with them, and vice versa! I forgot that Glenn Shorrock returned to LRB for a few years. This was a real treat!!
