    I know this is old, but is the 2nd blade sandwiched between the housing and the cover piece? I reassembled and it works fine, just the middle blade doesn’t spin

    Thanks for sharing your video. I've a similar model and have a couple of questions, if you don't mind:
    1. Is the motor a DC or AC motor?
    2. What is the voltage and amperage rating of the motor?
    3. Are there any carbon brushes?

    I did this and accidentally tore the motor gasket off the housing. Can I glue it back on? It looks like it was originally glued on by the manufacturer. I’ve ask this on another one of your videos. I’m just trying to hope that you’ll see it. Thanks

    I notice your rubber seal is stick to the motor base. When I look out mine, they come apart. (17.30++ onward)
    Should I be worried? I put them back together after washing and I notice there is some rubber left on the based.

    Is the number 2 disk not firmly affixed to the others when the nut is tightened? Mine is still loose for some reason.

      @@gagainer great. I had it right then. I did just about pull my last hairs out when I got it all back together and it wouldn't come on. I finally figured out that it must be sitting on the bowl before it could actually turn on. Those darn safety features.

    This is probably a long shot because this is an old video but I took everything apart and put it all back together and it's not powering on. I took it apart again and found a piece had come loose. I can't post a picture but I will describe as best as I can. When you break the motor down to just the piston shaft, the top motor housing has a copper piece poking through the middle. A very thin circular wavy metal disk sits in that spot (I'm assuming). That's the part that came out. How does it sit in there? Does the copper touch the motor with the disk sitting under the copper piece on top of the plastic? This is my only guess as to why it won't turn on. All of the connections are in the right spot (pretty foolproof there) and it's sitting on the bowl when I try to power it on.

      Maegan Russell I don’t have one here to look at but that’s cooling fan for the motor and if I am correct that’s suppose to permanently be mounted to that shaft i am almost certain that wasn’t removable at least it wasn’t on the models I had ..... let me verify w my vac guy

      Leta Terrell there really isn’t a good solution to those d machines other than disassemble the entire motor housing and using force to break the nut off I have personally damaged a machine trying to do it I would recommend taking it to a vac repair shop preferable a rainbow dealer to have them do it this is the reason these separators need to cleaned specifically on those older machines

    • @gagainer
      @gagainer  6 років тому +1

      Jamie White my guess is dirty or corroded motor the more dirt that builds up the louder the machine gets how long has it been since it was cleaned ? Also I use a rubber sealant I get from Lowe’s

    I got similar model, I tear it down to the motor.
    When I put everything back together, I cannot power on the motor. I am not sure what I did wrong, do you have any idea? I check all the connection and redo everything twice.
    Anyway to troubleshoot?

    • @gagainer

      Magus Tan I would say check the safety switch it’s a little plastic tab that fell out it is depressed when water basin is on machine it won’t allow the machine to run if the basin isn’t attached I believe I made mention of that other than that it’s got to be in connections before putting it all back together depress that switch and turn on power to make sure it’s running prior to reassemble

      @@gagainer I just tore down my E2 black today to clean it out. I was perplexed when a small black plastic piece fell out of the safety switch area. It fell out so quickly I was not able to see where it was supposed to go back. Ended up just tossing it in there and now it doesn't power back on. Ill have to tear down again, which will be a lot easier the next go round. Didnt catch on this video where that small piece is supposed to go 😫

    How do you wash the foam? And does it loose the shape when you wash them?

    • @gagainer
      @gagainer  7 років тому

      Hey Alexis good question... i wash it in hot soapy water in the sink.. kinda keep squishing it around in the detergent and water and then drain sink and repeat with hot water... once all soap is out let it air dry for 24 hours and no it is dense foam so it won't loose shape
