I was tempted to do this with the music muted so I could add in something more epic and stable but I recently entered a dispute in another video about a track (which I believe will be fine) so don't really want to fiddle with music addition until I have closure for that. Pity really...

The ones that aren’t damage dealing pep attacks are the most efficient ones funnily enough
Oddly enough I find it nice that Serena and luminary are dressed in the clothes of their ancestors. Honestly if Gemma wasn’t an end game marriage option, seeing the luminary and Serena get married in erdwin and serenica’s clothes would be beautiful. Still as someone who appreciates the childhood friend romance trope for manga and anime I love Gemma and the luminary’s relationship

I appreciate you left in when they charge up before the cutscene happens. Just makes it more dynamic leading into each one. I saw Hardcore Gamer's take on them. But it just didn't have your dynamic of showing each partnered or Group of characters charging up first.
Thanks, though I do regret not silencing the music and superimposing a track over it rather than having the default theme stopping and starting.
@@KingX But the default theme is so good. Its even better in the Switch version. They really fixed the music in that version. Have you tried out the Demo? I personally only started DQ11 on the Switch Demo. I'm a sucker for game animations like these.
Yeah I could still have kept the same track for the job. I suppose this way I can claim "fair use" and not worry about copyright claims.
Yes I played the demo, I even already farmed 8 Bunny Tails from the Bunicorns for better item drop rates (yes they stack) and got all 6 recipes. The demo needs some finesse because you need to know what to get done before using the keystone as you can't return to the first area until much later in the game. There are quite a few things to do in the demo like steal the Wizard's Staff for Veronica from the Lump Mages, get a second pair of Robber Gloves from the Robber Rabbits (they also stack), craft some good gear, try and work towards Metal Slash in preparation for fighting Metal Slimes...

I can tell that Sylvando and Jade were probably the favorites for the devs to work on. 😅

4:55 Doing a little research, and apparently Frizz Cracker is supposed to be Medroa from Adventure of Dai. It's a bit less unstoppable here than in that series.
Popp's Medroa is a one hit kill spell that even the final boss is afraid of. Of course it would be nerfed in the game.

If I remember correctly I beat the final boss with mighty magic burst
Magic burst is one of if not the most powerful spell so it makes sense that two people using it at the same time would be utterly devastating. That pep power has gotten me out of a lot of trouble throughout my playthrough. It's the main reason I was able to beat every trial of the wheel of harma and get all the rewards. The secret trial nearly got me though. Mighty magic burst really helped on that.

Not sure if other RPGs have done something like the pep powers before, but I just think they are such a cool addition to this game. If Dragon Quest did come up with this then props to the developers!

I laugh every time Hendrick say sword or shield. Because everything I hear "I SHALL BE YOUR SWORD. YOUR SHIELD. YOUR UNSWEVERING COMPANION." It's like his really long catchphrase.

These are really entertaining to watch sure they ain’t very good damage wise but still fun to watch
i remember only veronica&Serena's attack was very powerful.. but the others, just very fun
Mega Magic Burst and Gigaburst are the only two that have amazing damage (Gigaburst hits about as hard as regular Magic Burst most of the time, though it depends on whether the enemies resist lightning)

5:34 + 6:24 i use always this 2 Pep Attack so i see only few others Peps (i even keep character in Pep in reserve to synchro peps for steal and gain xp )

@@nekogamer2508 I'm pretty sure in Japan all lgbtq+ is kind of referred to as one thing. Which is kinda strange and not very good at describing real lgbtq+ experiences lol. Just mentioning since Sylvando doesn't really come off as trans.
14:02 Ok legit question: Is Erik a werewolf or skin-walker or something similar? That pep power and the fact that he has armour that can only be worn by him called wolf wear and the costume you get from it is called the "lupine look" makes me think he's a werecreature of some sort. I've been looking up info and it just tells me basic info about Erik's appearance and stuff about him that that you eventually learn further into the game. So if anyone knows the answer please let me know. I am dying to find out if the thief who's been in my group since the beginning is actually a half-monster ('cause that would be pretty cool). Also completely unrelated, Sylv is badass as he is but "Shocking Twist" takes the cake. My man straight up jumps into a flaming tornado and absorbs it's power and then strikes a fabulous pose afterwards. That's why Sylv is my favourite character, you don't get a character in dragon quest 11 more badass than him.
There is no other in-game evidence that he is (as far as I recall anyway) but the pep power is evidence enough I'd say. It's strange that it's never elaborated on, not even in his "wedding". He has a wolf outfit but that's more an implication than proper evidence.
@@KingX Thanks, just saw the reply. It is weird that it isn't mentioned at all or anything. Then again, telling everybody that he's a half-monster would likely come as a shock so, reasonable why he never talks about it. Cool factor I noticed about Wild Side, not only do Erik's eyes turn red, he also gets the "dark/shadow effect" that vicious monsters have. And by "Wedding" I assume you mean when you pick him to be your roommate with the Drustan wish. The only time a wedding is mentioned is when you pick Gemma, not with any of your teammates
Yes, if I meant that you have a literal wedding with him I'd have said wedding instead of "wedding". I played ages ago so don't always recall in-game verbatim such as "sworn companionship" on demand.
This game needs more female playable characters
Yeah, 5/3 ratio is a bit weak. Not as bad as Final Fantasy XV's 4/0 though. (I know both games have guests, I'm not counting those.)
Too many. Most are useless. Seriouslyshooting a dark beam of doom from your mouth and it only hits for 250-300?

the voice acting , story in this game in act III couldnt be worse. This is the peak of terribleness. Rest of the game is fine.
I thought act 3 was just post game in disguise as a new chapter.
I also consider Act 3 post-game. And yeah, the English voices are beyond terrible, the Japanese voices on the other hand are amazing.
How can you tell if the Japanese voice acting is good if you don't even know Japanese? Do you say "that *sounds* like good voice acting".

@@islemsissou7707 no fact for everyone, those games were more fun for everyone that played them and this and compared it, my friend quit playing XI cause he got bored of it and it gets all grindy and boring and just stopped playing it, he didn't even complete the game lol but heroes 1 and 2 1 especially good single player challenge there 2 more open world better overall and has a multiplayer which is fun once you complete the game.

Skill issue
For me it was the other way around, I played heroes for 10 hours until I realised I didnt enjoy the game. I had my second play through with dq11 to clain the platin trophy. I enjoyed it so much
