Wow Piet, you bring tears to my eyes. When my grandfather was alive, we meet us every year on Christmas day whit the hole family in his house. My grandfather was a awesome storyteller and I loved to listening to his stories. Whit this video you bring a awesome filing back to me. Thank you for that. Unbelievable video. Great story and a great experience for me. Greatings from Germany budy.
Just recently found your channel and been watching a ton of your videos and freakin loving them brother... I 100% agree on the long range hunting thing it's taking hunting in the wrong direction but once you have a bullet in an animal you have to do what you have to do to put that animal down quickly. I've heard people talk about these animals the same way we talk about elk here in the states... they're notorious for being extremely tough and you might get one to drop and they're just catching their wind to take back off again. Again loving the content brother keep it up!!!
The quality of your footage is outstanding, well done. Being able to walk and stalk in such a remote, harsh and absolutely breathtaking landscape is a privilege, especially with all the beautiful Camel Thorn and Quiver Trees (Koker Boom, the one you were riding like a horse)
Tough hunt mate. Great shooting. Kudu in Namibia are big compared to RSA. I switched form a 6.5 to a 338 RUM after my first hunt there shooting a 210 Swift Scirocco at 3300fps.
In South Africa, the Kudu are bigger in the Northern Province compared to the Eastern Cape / Karoo. How those ones compare to Namibia, I cannot say.. Cheers.
Great vid, great narration. Being from Nam: Karasburg is a difficult area for Kudu. Springbok and Oryx may be easier there. Lots of walking is also common here, so next time, I would recommend a) moving further north into NAM (Windhoek area has most of the animals people like to hunt), and b) brining a smaller, lighter rifle. Something that is easy to shoot quickly off the cuff. Especially in the bushier areas, since shot windows can be short (especially follow-ups, if they're needed). Also: "Kokerboom" ;)
Amazing video! I love the story. I was trying to relax when I watched this…lol. Super suspenseful!!! Great video. Glad you helped the other hunter out by filming for her.
That shot of the night sky was amazing. Nothing like that in my neck of the woods. Too much “civilization” around. Glad you could help your brother get his bull too.
The worst feeling as a hunter is wounding an animal and not being able to recover it. Awesome you were able to make a follow up shot. I see a lot of hunters start celebrating before make sure the animal is done for sure. Great thing is you were able to learn from it all and get a bull of a lifetime as well as meat on the table! Awesome! I respect you as a hunter! You are a great role model for hunters. Still so jealous of baboon hunting! Haha. Look forward to more baboon hunts in the future! Thanks for the quality content!
I enjoyed your story, but do you just hunting in the Karasburg area? Karasburg is nearby the desert.. just 300 kilometers further the vegetation and landscape change completely.. kudus al plentiful further up.
Hello! Blessings to everyone on this channel. Odd question, but I was wondering, what do you guys do for a living, to be able to afford this lifestyle? I'm not jealous, well, maybe haha, but I'm just curious. Good for you guys!
Baie goeie video ek het dit nou baie geniet. Jou stories is altyd lekker om te hoor. Hou dit so bly ek kan n local jagter support om na sy videos te kyk.
All kudu are wild bru, they are just put on places that is not their natural habitat You need to go more north i mean much more north or to the east! Ek wil sien hoe skiet jy met daai kanon op 50m😉
Hi Bro i cam From Matthew Venn i see u was in his video and u look like a verry good person so i left a like and i sub to u bro will stay active on your channel ❤❤
Use a hunting rifle not a target rifle. That is not hunting. I have hunted in Africa 14 times. The whole idea is to spot and stalk not spot from 1,000 kil and shoot. I did not even watch the first shot if there was one.

Shot a beautiful Roland Duiker last week with a 30-06 in the neck. Quite a devastating site :) no meat damage and perfect for a skull mount.
I enjoyed your story, but do you just hunting in the Karasburg area? Karasburg is nearby the desert.. just 300 kilometers further the vegetation and landscape change completely.. kudus al plentiful further up.

What a beautiful animal, congratulations on an excellent hunt.
Leaker skoot julle
I don't understand hunting with a heavy rifle in that kind of terrain, that thing must weigh 10 kilos.
Only rifle I had at this point, and yes that wasnt fun 😂
Awesome video. Keep it up. From Namibia

Too much talking
Should have been a 10 Minute video what a waste of time.
Way too much talking on this channel.
You realise this is literally my own show?
