Pieter, that light weight hunting rifle cannot come fast enough. Carrying that beast around in the veld cannot be easy.
You are so right Charl, it even looks awkwardly big 😅
IMPACT SHOOTING Hi Pieter, just wondering if that’s the Strike Eagle 5-25 FFP your using? How are you finding it? Thanks buddy, great shooting.. Africa is such a lovely place
@@IMPACTSHOOTING what rifles/ calibers were you using?
I loved the narration throughout the film. Made it feel like a professional level tv production
Don't let the bad shots shake your confidence. It happens to us all at one time or another during our journey. It just makes us practice harder and be better. Great video.
A wonderful video, amazing to see the respect shown for the animals and the care that is used when harvesting them.
Beautiful Country, great shots and a amazing video! Thanks for share it!
Enjoyed this video cause its authentic and shows hunting as it is, sometimes not everything goes according to plan, but in the end it was ethical hunting... Please do more videos like this! Thanks Piet
That big Bull in the beginning didn't like that drone very much.😂 What a magnificent animal. Your videos are beautiful.
The drone footage is top notch. This chanel is the best thing out of 2020. Great Editing skills Piet. Love how you go that extra mile to put smiles on our faces. Guys lets support this good sir. Not easy to stock up on expensive quality gear
As good of a hunter we might think we are, we all make mistakes, we just need to learn from those mistakes, reset, and try to correct 💪🙏Awesome video Piet.
Great job team Impact, thanks for sharing the good and not so good of hunting. A lot of videos never show the entire story. It’s hunting, if it was easy, everyone would do it. Meat in the freezer! 👍
Awesome video!! Felt like a full production team was behind this one. Loved the cutaways to you narrating. Great work, and great shooting!
I loved this, as an avid hunter this was amazing. Good job to all involved.
Going to shoot my first kudu this upcoming week. LOVE all your videos and its an honor to learn from you Oom Pietskiet. You are probably the most humble person I've seen on UA-cam
That rifle is a monster, that light weight rifle you're waiting for is gonna be a dream come true. Amazing video, look forward to more
Hunting In South Africa 🇿🇦 at its best. Dankie PietSkiet awesome video.
Wow Piet, thanx for the stunning video.. honestly feel like I'm there and taking part. Can't wait for the next episode.. keep up the awsome work you do.. Have a good one
Great video! Looking forward to part two. Trigger cam is awesome!
Man what a beautiful Video and amazing hunt you gifted us ...whoa , that elephant take with the drone at the beginning was awesome , I am at the other side of the pond in Guatemala and to see this beautiful scenery and landscape in South Africa what can I say ..., Is mesmerizing . Thanks a lot I truly had a blast with it, keep it up you are doing a great job.
Wow Piet, the quality of the videos has gotten amazing!! Congratulations on a great hunt. Something funny, when I woke up from surgery a couple days ago unbelievably the first thought I remember having was, I wonder how Pieters hunt turned out. Of all the things I could possibly care about, that was my first remember able thought! Lol
I’ve made bad shots, thankfully out of my 8 shots on deer. Only 1 deer did I severely wound but never recovered a big learning lesson those two days searching. 1 deer completely missed I didn’t see a small twig and my arrow ate that instead and sent to arrow over it’s back. 6 good quick clean kills.
Mistakes happen it’s a pride we have and it’s our pride that gets hit when we make mistakes. Just got to learn from them.
Keep the great videos coming I’m loving them.
Awesome Short MOVIE Piet great to see your passion. Keep it up. Cheers buddy all the best.
Piet, just have to say. The transition from the feet walking to you guys scouting gets an A+!!! That was well done brother!
Thanks bud, there are two of those “mask” transitions in the vid. To make them I cut out the first video frame by frame to track the object sweeping the screen 😅
It pays off brother. The smooth transition is great!
Thanks Piet. Another Great video from my favorite UA-camr!
Awesome video as always Piet! Keep making us South Africans proud! 🇿🇦 lekker man
All the new hunting content is great love this channel
Good job on tracking him down
I have to give you your props.. You produce quality videos bro! The PH in the shorts though in the bush.. Scary.. 😂.. I would be scared to run across a Mamba..
Thanks Piet! Epic content! I would like to know more about bullet specs when you do one of this vids. Weights, loads, types. Just a personal thing I am interested in, and could maybe become part of your videos... Or not. Haha still epic content. Thank you very much. Greeting from Argentina.
Great content, always excited watch a new video that you post👍
I was hunting There.... Good reminders
Awesome video guys, love it! Looking forwardt o more hunting content like this one.
You had some really great shots, such a beautiful country. If only we lived in a different world........
Awesome Video Piet!
Wow. Loved it. What caliber used?
Excellent. Well done and I really enjoyed it
Another amazing video, can't wait for the next one.
That landscape looks exactly like South Texas where I hunt. Well except for the fields.
Amazing hunt guys. One question on camouflage. I bought commo clothes but found on my first few hunts guys were dressed in all kinds of colours and it never seemed to make a difference on our walk and stalk. I've even worn bright colours and manged to sneak up on different game. How effective is camouflage in hunting? ie should I just not bother with the gear Ive never worn.
Can you share your scope camera? Looks nice and compact
Scott should've taken the 2nd shot right at @9:58... One thing I've learned in my 46 years, DON'T HESITATE !
All that adrenaline will make the meat taste "off", at least it does with North American deer/moose/elk.
His rifle malfunctions when he tries to reload it
@@IMPACTSHOOTING Ohhh... Ok, now I get it.
Baie dankie oom...goeie skote🇿🇦💪
Great video Piet! What rifle is Schalk running?
Pieter, dankie vir die Footage . Verlang nou bosveld toe.
Ek like die tiepe videos Pieter dit voel of jy ons saam vat
Lekker Piet 💪💪💪💪💪
Those were the biggest chickens I have ever seen! 😧 They looked delicious.
Where did you get your hunting face cover from previous videos? Really liked it!
Pieter, do you have any more details on the frontier safari please? thanks
Great hunt and video Piet. What kind of dogs are they using?
Great vid bro!! Enjoyed watching
Man... if you make a bad shot you should have do a follow up so they don’t suffer. That immediate drop shot was beautiful
My friends rifle jams after that shot, hence the time lapse between that one and the drop shot. Thanks for watching mate
IMPACT SHOOTING thanks for the reply I wish I could go hunting in Africa. Love the channel and content... maybe (if sponsors are listing) you can do a series on why the mdt chassis is better then others on the market 😄. Doing a build right now and would love to be able to see side by side comparisons with all chassis out on market today... at-least from someone who really knows and shoots comp
A very nice hunting show.
What Callebers are you shooting with?
Lekker video Pieter. When do we get to see part 2?
Awesome stuff!!! 👌💪
Great Video!
What bullet size and type did you use for the hunt?
Superb video.
Lekker gejag, mooi bokkies.
Piet, for a guy who is pretty outspoken about long range hunting, that ostrich shot seemed to be quite the ways out there?
Amazing video 🙌
Anyone know the song used in the beginning?
You can actually see the bullet travel at 11:30
What load are you using to take these animals? Bullet, power, brass, primer?
What camo's do you guys wear?
Your video production skills are as good as your shooting man!
Nice hunt! Awesome story telling as always. Hunting season is coming here in canada. I was suppose to go for moose this year, I had to changed my plan for black bear or goose and grouse as always. Your hunting videos are inspiring and the landscape is so different than our pinetree forest. It is so unfortunate that you need to hunt for the workers ( sarcasm...)
Goeie naand Mnr.
Soos gewoonlik awesome video Piet
Nice video! Nice shots! Like!
One day I will come to south Africa. My Onkel lifs there in the 80. And he miss it
Baie goeie video.
9:45 watch that bullet’s flight time😂
What bullet and weight are you using for hunting
Nice..👍👍👍
Translation "where did you pick up that amirican girl in the bush " 😂😂
Pieter, what silencer does Schalk have on his rifle?
I also want to know. Looks like the MAG Gen 2 but I am not sure.
Sus-tac
What happened to the TRIGGER CAM footage of the blesbuck? @impactshootin
Wasnt me shootinng there
@@IMPACTSHOOTING when you shot the 2 off the tripod near the eskomlines
I want to get a 6.5creemoor but i dont know witch one
Pieter, watter kaliber skiet Schalk daar?
Leke Pieta. Dis waarvoor ons gewag het. Watse punte skiet jy met die 7? En Schalk, is dit 6XC?
6.5 creedmoor ?
Can’t get behind that second kill. You need to take the second shot as soon as he stops again. If the first is ineffective, you need to bring the second, not stare at the wounded animal. Bad.
sorry I should have added subtitles, my friends rifle has a failure to feed thats why the second shot took longer than normal. you can hear me tell him to remain calm and deal with the problem as the animal is still in clear view.
You can hear him messing with the action of the rifle. Its clear to me that he was having an issue getting another round in the chamber....
You also can hear you guys telling him not to shoot due to it will cause meat damage... Bad call..
👍
Hello oom ek hou baie van oom se videos oom moet lekker skiet
Love the content but dude the add quantity is getting over the top. 7 adds in a small clip
Hi mate , the only way to get around the adds is to get the Premium version of UA-cam, otherwise is just unbearably annoying.
Lekke piet ek will hoor watse scope cam Gebruik jy of watse een sal jy aanbeveel
Hi. I am from Namibia. I am 17 years old and i have been in the hunting game ever since 3 years old . I like to watch your video. And on Wednesday i will hopefully shoot my first eland !!
good luck and enjoy
Am I missing something here?.
Both the first animals where shot badly. Would it not be better to get a little closer and take a more humane shot. All hunters have that privilege.
5th comment
"sent the tracker out..."? Hunters there don't track their own? I thought that was more for old men who can't move around anymore...
The vegetation makes it hard to find the exact spot the animal was in, so when the shooter stays in the same location and we send a guy down range with a radio, we can have him find the exact spot the animal was in when the shot was taken.
@@IMPACTSHOOTING that's totally fair... long range hunting is so different from what I've done so i don't know anything about those 300+ meter shots. Really appreciate your channel tho 🙏 🤙🏽
Great footage of ethical hunting well done Piet and skull . What camouflage apparel are your wearing Pieter ? Is that a South African design?
Sitka, US brand. Incredible quality and functionality
@IMPACT SHOOTING Thanks Pieter . I’ll check it out and see if they export their gear overseas.
@@IMPACTSHOOTING where can we get some :)
Skote oom piet skote
Going back to previous videos and comments about ethics of so called 'long range hunting' yet you blow the nose off an impala trying to take a head shot. So let's talk about head shots, the brain of an impala isn't very large. In your shot if you go 5 centimeters high, you would blow its horns off. If you go 5 centimeters low you'd go through the throat. 5 centimeters back is probably a miss or another wounded animal. 5 centimeters forward is either a miss over the nose or you blow the nose off which happened in this case. I'm betting this isn't the first time this has happened to you. So you take head shots to save meat or are you trying to impress someone? So how ethical is it to shoot an animal at 800 meters through the lungs or shoulder vs head shooting a smaller animal at a closer distance through the head? It's the same thing. On the blesbok you also made a bad first shot and had to follow-up. Yup, things happen, to me there are much more ethical shots than a head shot.
Why do head shots? There is too much margin for error as you have experienced and this can lead to animal loss and suffering. As well, it provides anti- hunters with videos of unethical shooting. Shoot behind the shoulder and it produces much more ethical kills. I hunt- alot, but I can't support this style of hunting.
How is killing an animal instantly unethical? 😂
@@IMPACTSHOOTING Like I said, too much room for errors with the head movement. Shooting a nose off or a jaw and that animal will run and run with a certain death. Behind the shoulder, less likely to make errors and less "ammo" for PETA with videos of wounding animals. I love your channel and watch all the time. Cheers from Canada!!
I know its been awhile since making this video, but you don't seem your usual self. No excitement from you. Maybe the music is what's making you (to me) seem a bit off. Do you remember?
Killing me with the voice audio only in one ear during your intro monolog. Real not fun to have to listen to an ear bud stuffed into the wrong ear because I am deaf in the ear your voice was playing in. Took me a couple min utes to figure out my laptop wasn't broken.
Sorry about that, no clue how that happened. 🤦🏼♂️
@@IMPACTSHOOTING Inspite of that it was another great video.
