The oompa oompa drum beat might be my favorite thing about Goregrind, next to some of the tracks being hilariously short. There's something weirdly endearing about an album with 20 tracks being less than 10 minutes in full hahahaha.(looking at you, Last Days of Humanity). Such a weird genre. This was hilarious, I was crying throughout that entire music video.

LDoH's 2006 record Putrefaction in progress has 41 tracks and is 26 minutes in length. Genuinely hilarious.

@@lily13337 Haha thats actually a really good observation, didn't notice myself. That explains why german Grindcore/Fun Metal band Excrementory Grindfuckers filled the rest of their 2007 album with random fart noises hacked up in 5 sec snippets, just to get to 99 songs on that record. :D
      A truly sophisticated culture indeed.

If you have an AmpSim, there should be one there, it's basic stuff. Also there is probably a stock version in your DAW. Maybe it's just called gate or noise gate. Expander is a bit of a weird wording for that tbh. If not, I bet there are free noise gates as VSTs out there as well. :)

      1. You are.
      2. There is nothing wrong with that.
      3. Impersonating the sound characteristics of the Boss HM or HM2 or MC or MC2 is really nothing new. The developers of digital amp structures knew exactly what they had to cover, and the Boss HM2 was just too much of a characteristic sound to leave out. It has been, in what bastardization ever, included in almost all digital amp simulations.
Also thanks for watching, Im drunk.
