Melodic Death Metal is like Christmas music to me, a nice way to trick my mind to cool down, like Im some ancient warrior in the mountains fighting Yetis. Great job, though I would have added keyboards
I think for metalcore I will go in a more 2005 old school direction (Unearth, AILD, BFMV, The Sorrow e.g.), otherwise it will be to similar to the PostHC video. ;)
Haha thanks bud, don't be harsh to yourself. Im not doing songwriting since yesterday, keep going, and you will get there. I will give some general advice on songwriting in my next video, so stay tuned. :)

Deathcore is coming up next! The song and major part of recording the talky bits is already done, but - oh boi - I got big plans for the musicvid, so it may take another while.^^
The list of possibilities is long. :D Old school death metal is a must have, pop punk would be far outside my comfort zone, but maybe I'll give it a try nonetheless.

Hi bosmek, finde deine Musik echt klasse.
Viel Erfolg!
Naaah, listen to every In Flames song ever, they use this exact formula over and over and it works just fine. So fine that you didn't even notice it. And when I say pop music, I mean it more in a sense of "popular music" as in "everything not classical" wich includes metal. A lot of popular music genres use this exact formula if it's rock, hip hop or a lot of metal subgenres (not all of course).
We need one on technical death metal now
Uff sounds like actual work. Not sure if I'm down for that. :D

Generic 2000-2008 melodic metalcore/melodeath.

These vids are fun, but this is less "how to write generic" and more "watch me write generic", as how to vids are more, instructional.
no one get upset. but why is this like a A7X song at the verse?
Vocals sounds really similar to kalmah

u can't use pop song formula with another genre, especially metal.
