This editing tutorial will show you how to get through B-Roll the fastest way possible with some editing tips to ensure you are getting the most out of Davinci resolve.
This will take your Davinci resolve editing from amateur to pro as you’ll get to know your editing software a lot better by consciously using the tools that are within Davinci Resolve 18.
These are efficient editing workflow tips that are guaranteed to get you editing faster and more professionally.
A lot of these can be used in premiere pro, Final Cut Pro, avid, capcut or any other video editing software. But I find Davinci resolve the best software and would recommend it.
It’s good to get to know the tools of your trade as much as you can and this is a great starting point to take your editing to the next level.

Update, playing around with this in Resolve 19 (beta) and seems to be a lot better where you can hit the source clip/source tape (what I re-mapped to tilde) then you can use the down arrow to click into the next clip, it works quite well and is a little bit quicker than having to wait to speed into the next clip using shuttle keys as originally suggested.
When I made this video, it would only do this in list view. (if you were in thumbnail view, it would stop at the end of the row and was frustrating).
Ideally, they'll have a key to bypass even having to activate the source tape to enable the down click.
if you activate media pools, it's a few more clicks rather than 1 click. but it's an improvement so I can't complain!

P.S it takes a bit of getting used to but within 15 mins or so, you should be in the swing of it. My advice is to keep your mouse away so you have to use the keyboard only, then it works very fast. Also if you can't get the tilde key to toggle between the two after keybinding it, ensure your keyboard layout is set to the correct country.

Hey man got it off Amazon, it's Solayce Laptop Stand, but I've since started using a PC cooler stand instead as it has the same height adjustment and keeps the laptop cool when editing. The cooling stand I got is a KLIM PC cooling stand. and I'd recommend it over the other stand.
I think you can already switch source tape and timeline with q, and into the source clip with shift q i think.
Where's the Shuttle, Jog and Scroll Wheel? Well, you get what you pay for. But a nice tutorial for those that haven't learned how to map keys.
haha ahh there will always be a trade off of some sort! bit of a compromise, but does the job :)
