    this is in my opinion the start of a change. Usually players only left the NBA because they were old and went to China or euro. But it will get bigger if more players start caring about their health and less about money

    • @Max-me9ol
      @Max-me9ol 9 місяців тому +8

      nah, players will always care about money first (as they kinda should).
      really good nba players will first get paid in the states and after they dont get a big contract they will go to europe or china.
      someone like luka wont go to europe ever in his prime. they will go there when theyre done making money in the nba

    • @PIANOPHUNGUY

      @@Max-me9ol as the usa heads into a prolonged recession, the nba may have to reduce ticket prices. With gas prices climbing into the stratosphere suburban fans won't go to games
      Euro cities are very small where fans can walk or bicycle or take public transportation to games. Pay will be higher in Europe. The usa fans can go see high school or college games nearbye. NBA games are in the worst parts of town . Like the staples center.

    great vid as usual.
    my #1 reason is that in nba more talk and focus is on contracts, trades, and feelings. 90+ % of games is way too relaxed with no rivalry or focus on winning.
    on the other hand in euroleague every game is war. that is the most important in competitive sports.

      Of course games in euroland are war. They've been at it for over 2000 years with each other. Most high schools are from the area and crosstown rivalries develop in the USA.

    Speaking of the 2nd reason, last season (january, this year) we were lucky enough to attend the Belgrade Derby, inside Pionir Arena. With 2 hours before the whistle the arena was packed. That was the most intense moment felt on a basketball court for us. I hope that everybody have the chance to watch such a rivalry from the stands. And Partizan fans have much longer tradition and biggest knowledge of basketball overall, they are not hooligans like the football fans, or big majority is not, in every game you can see many kids and girls, old guys singing together. Grobari are like Pao or Oly fans, great tradition and basketball knowledge. Majority of the Red Star fans started to watch basketball about 10-15 years ago when big money came into the club (in a suspicious way and after the criminal (silent) privatisation of the club by one dirty politician, and that's not even a real Red Star anymore, they changed address and they are not even a part of the general sport collective of Crvena Zvezda (Red Star Belgrade)

      Partizan. Željko Obradović, greatest European coach of all time, who won 9 Euroleague titles is the coach of Partizan. Gregg Popovich is a long-time admirer of Obradović. He was actually the first to run Spain pick and roll back in 2002, which is just one of his innovations.

    European basketball crowds are the equivalent to American college football 🏈 crowds. The NBA crowds will never be on that level though. It is just not the culture. I hope one day to travel to the Balkins and follow basketball there.

      @@isaksidenius7059 So are college football fans. It’s the same kind of environment except with 100 thousand fans instead. I personally do not think one atmosphere is above the other. Both are nonstop and both are extremely high intensity. But no other American sport has crowds like that. Not the NBA, not the NFL, and not college basketball even though they have do great environments too.
