There are people and things destined to success. So it was with this plane. Conceived and made a reality by great minds, and piloted and assisted by other great minds. Those who thought and made this model were no different. And whoever built it and filmed it for us didn't either. Congratulations to all of you. ( And this modeller is from another dimension... )
This is such a skilled Master Modeler...the photo etch requires so much talent...be very careful before buying it...it is much much harder to work with than it looks like....this the work of someone at the highest levels of modeling..
Greetings Dusan, this just shows why you are one on the true masters of this hobby/ pastime, will you be doing any more 1/32nd builds? Very best wishes from a Kiwi living in Australia,
Hi David, I'm an aircraft modeler as well and you're right. Many modelers go too heavy with the weathering. I've been up to real WW2 aircraft and they don't look like that. Model builders do that heavy weathering and chipped paint because they think it looks cool! Even though it looks convincing, that is NOT how real planes look!
@@vincentlussier8264 , it depends on what the Story is.If a Plane was shiny and new and was based on an improvised Airfield, which was normal in WW2, and they had one Day of bad Weather, the Plane was covered with Mud on the Underside. This is just an Example. If I was in our German Air Force, Ground Personnel, late 80's , Fighter Bomber Wing 32, i have seen many many Aircraft, when I did Cross Servicing, and including our Tornado IDS Bombers, which were covered with Oils and other Fluides, and so on.......It is totally Horseshit to believe Planes are clean.....
@@vincentlussier8264 That's because on real WWII aircraft today that are mint museum pieces that are not airworthy and flying around have been cleaned up and restored to factory fresh as much as possible. Like Grabacr said; planes get used and abused, caked with grime and oil, accumulate atmospherics, obtain dusty paint jobs that get worn, paint gets worn to the alloy, and this all was worse in WWII when we didn't have the alloys and paints that modern 4th/4.5 Gen fighters have today.
Absolutely beautiful. Makes me cry, knowing I never came close to this level of modeling. Now I am an old man, with hands that do not work. Thankfully I have your videos to watch and enjoy.
I deeply empathise with you, Mr. Browne, for our similar disappointments blunting our delight in watching this video. My lack derives from poverty from physical disabilities, some since complications during a breech birth. It all denies me the means to participate in such enjoyment, though like you, I take from this what fun and happiness as I can. :) I thank you both.
The Merlin is a joy to assemble, that was probably the most fun out of both of my Tamiya 1/32nd Spitfire builds. Great job on the pit. That's correct clamshell doors do close after landing. I prefer the "weighted" look tires myself. Beautiful paintwork. Excellent job all around Dusan. Congrats!
I built one of these a few year ago. It is the bench mark that all kits should be measured by. A pure joy to build, everything fits so precisely. Unfortunately the one I built was a commission and had to let it go. Really was painful to see such a masterpiece slip from my hands.
You are a genius!! The patience and attention to detail are amazing 😳.. far far away from my days of making Airfix kits back in the 60’s .. truly amazing 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
There's so much to say about this video and build...all of it great. I'm not a big fan of manufacturer specific glues and paints, but I gave Tamiya a try and I am impressed. I'm not a fan of airplane models, but after watching this build I ordered this exact kit and I am excited about getting it on my bench. This video is fantastic (I like the touch of having the sound of plastic cut from the sprue hitting the table top...the music is perfect by the way). Another aspect I appreciate is there are no "magic moments" when sub assemblies appear as completed without showing the work involved. This the finest modelling video I've had the pleasure to watch...and I've watched my fair share of modelling video...this can be held up as the "This is how it's done" version. It is so good that it prompted me, a ship model builder, to purchase an airplane model...I just hope my airbrushing skills (mediocre on a good day) can improve sufficiently before I start this build, Thank You for making this video and Bravo Zulu.
Fabulous job Dusan as always! I hope that my build comes out 25% as well as yours did. Thank you for taking the time to create and share this video with your growing fan base :)
What a beautiful job on the Mustang and the video! Just the perfect amount of weathering, chipped paint and dirt too for my tastes. I like the heavy weathering on some things but I think it looks more appropriate if it’s going to be in a diorama.
Beautiful video and build, and so helpful to see all those build steps, packed with tips. Will be watching this again when I build mine :) Really great to see more 1/32nd builds, my favourite scale for WWII fighters.
Он как-то опрос проводил в своих видео - стоит, ли добавлять голосовые комментарии в ролики или оставить субтитры - народ выбрал молчаливые ролики, но с текстовыми вставками.
Great work and great video. I used to build plastic airplane model too. I prefer modern airplanes like f-15 or F-18. But I had to stop once I reached certain level. In order to go any further, the time and efforts double or tripled. You really have to go to those fine details. You have to upgrade your tools. It is not hobby any more. It became obsession.
My airplane model kit has 50 parts in the box. Your airplane model kit has over 200 parts just in the cockpit! A wonderful video showing how to achieve a higher level of existance! Model building nirvana! Truely inspirational! Ok, now i am running out of superlatives to label this masterpiece....
David R Lentz, Columbus, Ohio, USA (Thursday, 1 August, 2024) Watching you build this lustrously detailed kit is pure joy, Romain Hugault. (Are you French, Messieur? Merci beau coup! ) Well, almost: keen pangs of deep disappointment that I cannot participate . . . . Well, thank you for what delight I can have. I so fervently admire you for your talents here. As I watch your build, I wish a more experienced modeller would demonstrate for us how to assemble and detail aircraft kits in flight, the propeller spinning, the undercarriage retracted, a pilot in the seat, the flight controls repositioned, the instrument panel dials indicating his sharp manœuvres at high altitude, etc. . . .
Hi, Great job am loving watching your vids, A question if you don`t mind, Any idea where I can get a 1/32nd Tiger Moth Engine from? Resin or plastic . Thanks from New Zealand
😊Hello Dusan, how are you? Fine I hope? I see always youre video and I learn always something's news. So thank you for that. Really. And youre videos are always good done it. We, the spectators see always good and it seems that you have the good material is on the video's montages. So thank you for that too. So for finish my little "bafouille" in inglish cause it is not my motherlangegeese it was just a little bit hard to scribe it.( but just a little bit). So thank you for sharing all the videos and Patreon too make it eàsy frrf. pierrelebelgeapau Or Pierre Hampartzoumian it's my real name, pierrelebelgeapau it's just my " nickname" lol 😅. Thank you one moore time for all youre videos and all the niews ideas and things about construction of model. See you to the next video Dusan.
hi beautiful work as always flawless work.. my only issue is ( and im sure im not the only one but ) how on earth do you manage to keep a tidy workspace.. i for one have to take the sprues out of the box and then tables covered with either sprues or mass of tools and impluments to work with.. cant wait for next build
Great work - very inspiring. I've got this model coming, and I'm making a point to watch build videos. This is my first. One thing I don't get, though, why in the world didn't you wait to put the wheels into the tires until after they were painted? It looks like you masked them perfectly and got a great result, but why set it up so you need to go through those extra steps? Maybe I'm missing something? I bet that's it, but I still want to ask, so I'll be as informed as possible for my build.
G'day Dusan, An absolutely beautiful build. For a long time I've been doing a black primer for my bare metal finishes. Thanks to your video I'm going to drop the primer on large models because I can see the logic behind what you're doing. I too have tried the Quinta Studios 3D 'decals'. They really are a game changer when your model is large and you need to see the cockpit detail. A bit of a waste with some aircraft that have smaller, older style canopies. I've even got a Quinta set that fits any 1/35 Willy's Jeep kit. It has dashboard instruments, lights etc. it really gives any model a truly professional boost. I think in several years they will force the waterside decal manufacturers to adopt 3D technology too. I am so tired of good looking decals, that are not cheap, tearing or crinkling even if you treat them correctly. I am now experimenting with ultra thin adhesive sticker decals, made in the UK. They can be 'embedded' into the panel lines etc. by gently using a warm hair dryer. So far, they seem to be working just fine. Your paint job was outstanding and well planned to make the eventual full assembly smooth going, or so it looked. I was really knocked out by your work polishing the bubble top canopy. It was beautifully finished. Of course, I've subscribed for some time now and I can't wait to catch up with your other videos. Thank you so much. Cheers, BH Hobart Tasmania

Beautiful build

Agree on the subtle weathering, very nice and enjoyed watching you build it.
I love that you didn't go crazy with the weathering. So many airplanes look completely over-done when they're finished.
That's because aircraft do get beaten to shit. Take the Super Hornets today as an example, hell even Malta Spitfires.

Totally agree, sometimes it’s nice to see the weathering toned down for a brand new look on a model.

very fine build - i like the restrained weathering too :)
Incredible 😨

Absolut schön.
Gloriously beautiful
WOW! Simply WOW !!!! Love IT

The inner gear doors opens few moments after engine shutdown because of decreasing hydraulic pressure.
This was a superior video!!!!!! Thanks!!!!!!!!
Only to glue it together. Tamiya did the job.

Very, VERY nice. I also like your editing. The only criticism would be the panel lines are too visible, but that's a common mistake with the kits.
You are a genius!! The patience and attention to detail are amazing 😳.. far far away from my days of making Airfix kits back in the 60’s .. truly amazing 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Great build but you should consider using foil for a NMF, no paint can really duplicate metal.
Excelente todo muy pulcro. Felicidades desde México
Great Build!
Incredible work there. I have the Eduard 1/48 scale P-51 Profipack to build. I hope I can make it look as good as your 1/32 version.
Ese p51 te quedo redivinisima👍👍👍👍
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

Another great build. That kit looks the absolute business, and you did it justice.
Hi Dusan, once more you produce emotions and pleasure by your fantastic skills!! Thank you very much!!
Please put links to mentioned videos in the description. Thanks.
Beautiful. Absolutely beautiful. I've waited so long for someone to do a build on this kit. All I can say is thank you.
Wonderful video like and subscribed from Czech Republic 🙂👍👍👍
Cadillac of the sky
Normally I am not much of a P51 but you sure made y9ur model of one look really sweet, very nice build!!!
Wow, thanks!
I have this very model setting on my office shelf begging for me to start building it. Now you have built a fire under my butt.
Nice!!!
The best! As always.
Fabulous job Dusan as always! I hope that my build comes out 25% as well as yours did. Thank you for taking the time to create and share this video with your growing fan base :)
Is there some kind of trick to use yellow paints? Every time that I apply a coat it becomes semi-transparent and doesn’t stick properly
Another absolutely amazing build
Throughly enjoyed every minute of this, thank you so much and will be looking forward to the next 👍😊😎
Reuploaded?
I noticed that also. After first view, vid was deemed private. I couldn't even leave a comment. Worth waiting for though.
What a beautiful job on the Mustang and the video!

I think the spitfire might have something to say about that comment

Really great to see more 1/32nd builds, my favourite scale for WWII fighters.
Hi there i just wanna say good job and u r my idol!
Beautiful model, great job!!! 😁😁😁
Beautiful build. FYI: A "beat" is a musical tempo. A "bit" is a part or thereof. Ergo Sum "Bit's and pieces"! Warm regards mate :)
beutifull .... just amazing
You need to stop being so good! You’re making the rest of us look bad.
Dusan thx so much u r the best... awesome video....

Always a pleasure watching your clean style. The Bob Villa of scale modeling. Great job Dusan
Excellent work Dusan. color scheme is perfect for a P-51. I hope you take on more 1/32 kits in the future

For the cement to dry four times faster it would have to dry before being applied. Not possible.
thankyou dusan for another GREAT video

So many details, it's just amazing!
‘Packard built Merlin engine’. You mean British Rolls Royce Merlin engine licensed to Packard by Rolls Royce. It made the Mustang the best.
Great job, but the jump-cuts in your video gave me whiplash. You modeling skills are sublime. Your editing skills need work.

In aircraft manufacturing I think that yellow paint would've been zinc chromate primer, nasty stuff!

I am amazed to see that you can still find obscure aircraft models like the MIG 3 and IL2 that I love.
Beautiful job on the Mustang. But, “Uncle Dog Antenna ?” Someone’s been pullin’ your leg.
Yet another masterpiece Dusan! Love your work!
Great kit, perfect make. All the best for You! ;)
Big WOW. Finally we can watch it! Thank you Dusan. All the best.
Absolutely next level Dusan! Amazing man just amazing! 👏👏👏
Nice build, compliment for the editing, very well done

Nice .. thank you 🤩

Superb work and superb video
Wow amazing skills
Unbelievably beautiful. Fantastically good work! Love it!
I haven't built in a long time. Please refresh my memory. N.M.F?
This was a delight Dusan, thank you for this
