The men who nailed Jesus to the cross touched the actual cross and got Jesus's blood on them but it availed them nothing because they didn't believe he was the Christ, the only begotten Son of God.
It is the fact that God took on human flesh and fulfilled his own law on our behalf that brought salvation to the world. He died the death we deserve and took our punishment for us. And rose again that he might intercede on our behalf.

A sick woman touched the hem of Jesus' robe, and it did not avail her nothing. Yes, she had faith, but did she know who Jesus was? Be careful with your theological statements. Make sure they're totally kosher.

The spilling of His blood was deicide. God created man and indicted Himself, knowing mankind would shed bled. That is why the Lamb was slain from the foundation of the earth. He laid His life down and took it again - that is where the life is, in the resurrection. Shedding the blood of God is abomination.

Don’t you know where the literal blood is now and henceforth forever? Sprinkled where it does avail for you and me? Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us. Heb.9:12 The holy place is now in heaven. It’s the place where Jesus’ sacrificial blood is sprinkled as proof of an actual finished salvation, His perfect atonement for “whosoever will” proven by the display of His blood there. Also as proof of His qualification and inauguration as our Great High Priest ministering there on our behalf. All depends or His blood not just shed on the cross, but taken and sprinkled there.

It wasn't the death of the animal that was the atoning sacrifice, it was the blood that the priest took into the holy place. It wasn't the death of the passover lamb that stopped the angel of death, it was the blood on the door posts.
Hebrews 13:11 The high priest carries the blood of animals into the Most Holy Place as a sin offering, but the bodies are burned outside the camp. 12 And so Jesus also suffered outside the city gate to make the people holy through His own blood.
To say that His blood was just human and symbolic seems very close to saying Jesus was/is not God.

I'm not Calvinist, but MacArthur is not wrong by making it clear there is no earthly thing that saves us... the blood is not "literal." Hebrews 4 and 9 makes this clear, and it emphasizes that he is God because he's the only one to actually go in the true holy of holies.

Jesus is the Eternal God. He's the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world. He's from everlasting Micah 5:2 KJV
But thou, Beth-lehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting.
We are not talking about any man but the God-Man he was the one in the garden of Eden, he was the one with Abraham eating in the tent, he was the one wrestling Jacob, that touched the thigh of Jacob that he never walked the same. This same Jesus is the Eternal God!! Yes, he was human, but without sin. They didn't just beat a man. They beat God. From the top of his head to the heal of his foot, he was God. His blood, therefore, was Holy and Divine, and not one drop was left on earth it was taken to heaven and put on the true mercy seat, and it was accepted. Anyone that mocks Jesus Christ Holy blood by calling it magical has issues. What can wash away my sin, nothing but the blood of Jesus!!!!

    Greetings!
It's not the literal shed blood of the Son of God per se, but the FACT of His shed blood. That is to say, it is by and through faith in the shed blood of the Son of God that we have redemption, forgiveness of sins, and peace with God. I dare say, none of us has been literally washed in the blood of the Son of God, although, He literally shed His blood for our sins.
In the same way, it is not the literal resurrection of the Son of God whereby we were resurrected with Him, but by and through faith in the FACT of His resurrection whereby we are raised up with Him.
But I think that there is fault on both sides: On the one hand, the shed blood of the Son of God is literal and factual, not symbolic or metaphorical, but on the other hand, the Son of God was God manifest in the flesh, i.e., a man. But God is spirit, not flesh and blood. Therefore, in my view, there can be no such thing as "divine blood," and I know of nowhere in Scripture where this is stated, or may be safely concluded.
God is the eternal spirit; He has neither beginning nor end; neither mother nor father; He was not born, neither can He die. So again, the Son of God was not God, but God manifest in the flesh. Another way to say that is that the man Christ Jesus was the flesh of God. And so, yes, God purchased us with his own blood by partaking of our nature (flesh and blood), but I would call His blood holy, not divine, for if it is accepted that God partook of "our nature," it must also be accepted that it was not "His own nature," of which He partook.
    ============================
"Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage. For verily he took not on him the nature of angels; but he took on him the seed of Abraham. Wherefore in all things it behoved him to be made like unto his brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people. For in that he himself hath suffered being tempted, he is able to succour them that are tempted" (Hebrews 2:14-18).
    ============================
(Note: I think that the KJV rendering "Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood" above is ambiguous, and should be rendered closer to "Since the children have flesh and blood in common," as in the the Christian Standard Bible, et al. In other words, in that all of the children are flesh and blood, He too took part of the same. The point being is that "the children are partakers of flesh and blood" is an idiomatic expression meaning "the children are flesh and blood," and they all share this in common.)
Until Christ is fully formed in us all,
    -james

He didn’t take on His own nature because He always already had it. In taking on our humanity He set aside the prerogatives , or rights belonging to Him as the Son eternal. He gave them up to become subject as the Son of man in human obedience to the Heavenly Father.
      As we’re told in Phil.2:6-8…
But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. Why? Because it was only by the sacrifice of Himself in His death, as the Son of God and at the same time Son of man, could Holy God make true personal direct contact with sinful people whom He loves. That made it all worthwhile for Him. That is the only way we can be reconciled to Him, the only way we could be brought into agreement with Him, the only way we can live and walk together with Him in personal relationship as His heavenly Spirit re-born children. There is no way, no Truth, no Life outside of Him crucified and raised again to be seated in Glory, there for us. All motivated by His own great love wanting to bring us to Himself . Do you have any vision of Him there preparing your place there? Or is your heart still wrapped up in your self, blinding you to only the earthly, the human, the things that men build, do, and say. Can you by faith see afar off ? Even to the New Jerusalem, whose Builder and Maker is God, coming down out of heaven? Abraham could. You can too, if you choose to have eyes to see it, eyes of faith.

According to Dr MR DeHaan, whom I quoted, he says that Christ’s blood was divine, but not human. Because the blood is contributed by the father (God the Father in Jesus’ case), not the mother. This is an argument FOR the VIRGIN BIRTH. In other words, if Jesus had human blood it would have come from a human father, and discredited the virgin birth. Modern versions in Luke 2:33 say that Joseph was the “father” of Jesus whereas the KJV makes clear Mary was his mother but Joseph was Joseph, not his biological father.

The point is, while Jesus is fully divine He was FULLY human too! In every way, able to suffer as we do, no? Are you suggesting the bible is wrong with this? Are you saying that JESUS couldn't contract lukemia or an increased blood sugar level or any other disease of the blood? If so, then He couldn't suffer as some do, changing the meaning of scripture. Oh, and when one dies, doesn't one's blood dry up and decay?! What do you think happenned to Jesus blood after to and a half days, or the bits that were spilled after, say, a week or two?.

Mat 26:28 For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.

(Eph 1:7) "In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;"
(Heb 9:12) "Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us."
(Heb 9:22) "And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission."
(Heb 10:19) "Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus,"
      2. We do not obey God's commandments to be saved... as a child of God I obey because I love and trust my father; and he corrects me when I do not but I don't do it for my salvation
Eph 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
      Tit 3:5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;

Brother Dave ❤ The Blood of Jesus washed me clean and made me a New Man, who lives a new life with intention of pleasing God on his throne, and my Lord and Savior Jesus on the right hand throne. I The old man took opiates, beer, cannabis, inappropriate websites, and was an unforgiving sinner burdened by many grudges. It was not an overnight thing, or a one prayer thing. But Jesus stayed true his to his word.. "All Who come to me I shall, in no wise cast out." Jesus never gave up on me as I transformed into a new man. Jesus definitely washed every single crevice of my mind, my body, my spirit, my soul and my heart of all unrighteousness. The blood of Jesus washed me over and over as I continuously confessed my sins and asked for forgiveness. it was a long process. At least one year of not working and just focusing on my relationship with Jesus. However, with that said, I generally like the sermons of pastor John MacArthur. You are right about the blood of Jesus and thank you so much for pointing this out.
There have been other things he stated that did not fit with my world view as a Christian. But I won't throw away the baby with the bathwater. Most of his teaching is sound, and God has given me a lot of discernment regarding false teachings. I am happy that you also have great respect For Charles Spurgeon. He left us with a legacy of amazing sermons. It was Surgeons "An appeal to Sinners" that got me motivated and on the road to becoming a new man through the blood of Jesus.
Thank you so much for your excellent teaching. Also you mentioned the spit of Jesus. I remember the part where Jesus spit on the dirt and then rubbed the mud he made with his spit on the blind man's eyes, allowing him to see for the first time. So, based on that I believe everything that came out of Jesus, including his sweat, was anointed. And blessed in a way that only God can fully understand. ❤ Blessings and love from BC Canada.

Another another point or two worth noting is that their is only a tiny amount of blood in a newly conceived foetus, where does the rest come from? I don't think God fed a long iv line from heaven to Mary's womb! and what about Jesus robe? did He not feel virtue leaving Him when the woman touched it? Was that divine also?! EVERYTHING about Jesus was/is divine! (While being human).

God tells us that the life is in the blood. Can you see the life in the blood? No, but I believe God not only knows and sees it, but He put it there. I believe what God says about it. 1 Timothy 6:16 tells us that only Jesus has immortality. This makes Christ's blood special in that He is immortal. It also means that His blood sacrifice is eternal and forever cleanses us from our sin. Do you have eternal life? If you do, it is only through the blood of Jesus. "He who hath the son hath life; and he that hath not the son hath not life." 1 John 5:12. I would never call the blood "magical". That is to mock it as being akin to some dark power or some deception. It is MIRACULOUS. It is a wonderful miracle of God too marvelous for us to fully understand. Believe God!❤

I agree, the way the truth the life and the resurrection are miraculous. We cannot fathom God, never, ever.
The life is in the blood, which is, the Breath of Life given by God. He gives it and when He takes it away, it returns to Him who gave it. Eccl 12.7
If you think about blood, you will never get done. The blood forms the organs, including the heart! Yes! The blood pumps the heart, not the other way around. I read an article on that years ago and now of course that link has been scrubbed and it nowhere to be found on the internet.
That is why, when blood pressure falls, the heart can fail. The breath of life is leaving.
The blood is intelligent and knows what to do to keep the body alive for the soul that resides within it.
The blood even forms the bones and the skin!! I broke my leg 3 1/2 weeks ago and immediately the blood rushed to the scene of the fracture and began healing it.
There is so much more to blood than the forces that should not be will ever let on. It is the miracle of God, stupendous and unsearchable.

    Leviticus 17:11 tells us,
“For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul.”
I don’t think you can get any clearer than that.
As for the blood being human vs divine, we must ask ourselves who did God say was responsible for our sin, God or man? Jeremiah 17:10, James 1:14
Man is responsible for their sin.
Who did God say would die for that sin? Man! Ezekiel 18:1, Romans 6:23
Therefore, the blood of man is required to justify God’s righteous requirements.
The problem is that man is sinful and could not justify God’s righteous requirement.
God’s answer was to offer the Blood of a perfect Son of Man and the Blood of the Son of God, Echad (One). If there was any sin in the Blood of the Son of Man, it would be destroyed by the presence of the Blood of the Elohim. The blood of Y’shua (Jesus) was Elohim and human, otherwise the sacrifice would be invalid.
Seriously, I can’t believe that two people, supposedly leading the Lord’s flock at their each location, are arguing the extremes of the issue, an issue which is plain to anyone who reads the scriptures, lead by God’s Spirit.
Honestly, this is what happens when our teaching organizations teach just the New Testament, within having an anchor in the scriptures of God.

God’s word plainly says that Jesus, Holy Ghost conceived and virgin born, was true flesh and blood man, yet without sin. So He is an absolutely unique man, separate in that He is unlike any other man in His conception and birth, in the fact that He was sent into the world by His Father from heaven. This is what only begotten Son means. He is The only one like Him. And fully God as well. Because He was conceived of the Holy Ghost and not of Adamic man. We inherit sin by natural birth from our sinful ancestors by human conception. He didn’t inherit sin not because He was born of the virgin, but He had/has no sin because He had no human conception, but that of the Holy Ghost. It seems that there is a huge deficiency of Bible understanding among people claiming to be Christian today.

God is so gracious and uses us broken vessels. And he knows the heart, and it is Satan who is the accuser of the brethren. So, yes, we do have to be careful.
But this teaching of John MacArthur’s is just…strange. And I believe it comes from a broader twisted mindset he teaches on Spiritual truths. All the mysterious things of the Spirit that cannot be fully comprehended by our earthly thinking cannot always be contained in a neat little theological doctrine. So to verbally strip the saving power of Jesus’ blood, for example, of its Spiritual power and significance in order to bring it down to our human-level thinking is what it seems JM is doing.
Besides, it’s shocking to see how he is blatantly disregarding one of the main principles of good hermeneutics-go with the simplest reading and understanding of the text.

WHAT IF I DIE BELIEVING A FALSE GOSPEL?

The Bible and specifically our Apostle Paul tells us the answer to that question. We find the answer in the gospel of the grace of God recorded in I Corinthians 15:1-4.
    I Corinthians 15:1-4
    1 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;
    2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. 3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures.
Our Apostle Paul tells us that WE ARE SAVED when we believe that our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures, that He was buried and that He rose again the third day according to the scriptures.
In II Corinthians 5:21 we are told that God made Christ to be sin for us.
II Corinthians 5:21 - For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.
This gospel is easy to understand and very straightforward. We only have to believe that the God that spoke this world into existence gave His life for us, He was buried and that He rose on the third day. This seems like a very easy choice. Doesn’t it?
Let's look back to a time where a couple of other people also had a very easy choice to make. Let’s call them Adam and Eve. Let’s say that they lived in the best place on earth. Let’s say that they could live with God forever. Let’s say that they would never get old, sick or die.
We all remember Adam and Eve and the choice that they made. Would they have made the right choice if God had written the instructions that they needed on a piece of paper and they could carry that piece of paper everywhere that they went?
Well, guess what? God has written down the instructions that we need to follow in order to inherit eternal life with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. It is called the Bible, and we can carry it everywhere we go. If we follow the instructions in the Bible, we can live in the best place imaginable. We can be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ forever and we will never get old, sick or die.
Have you made the decision to believe God and follow His written instructions, so that you will become a child of God forever? God doesn’t make mistakes. When He adopts you as His child, it is a forever adoption. Yet, some of us question God and His promises.
Now you may ask yourself what Satan is up to these days. That is an easy question to answer. Satan is not hanging around in the obvious places where everyone goes to sin. Those places are on autopilot aka auto-Satan.
No, Satan hangs out at the places where people feel safe, and they go to in order to feel closer to God. No, I’m not talking about your “prayer closet” or on your knees beside your bed at night praying to God. No, I’m talking about…
…places where false gospels are preached. These are places where people are fooled by Satan into believing an adulterated gospel and thus believe in vain. Do you remember Adam and Eve? A little bit of Satan goes a long way.
I have made a decision to learn from Adam and Eve’s mistake. I will follow and believe God’s word that He has given to me. I have believed the gospel of the grace of God. Call me wise if you want to. I’ll just call myself a forever saved and blessed child of God.

@@qwerty-so6ml Below, are the verses that tell of the two gospels recorded in the New Testament.
      The Gospel of the Kingdom
In the New Testament, God tells of the two gospels. The first gospel is called the gospel of the kingdom. This gospel is written of in the books of Matthew through John, and Hebrews through Revelation. The second gospel is called the gospel of the grace of God. This gospel is written of in the 13 epistles of Paul. These books are Romans through Philemon.
To believe the gospel of the kingdom, the Jews were to believe that Jesus was the Son of God and had come to earth to establish His earthly kingdom. In this gospel, the Jews believed that Jesus Christ was their redeemer, messiah and king.
The gospel of the kingdom is the gospel that Jesus Christ (while on earth) preached. This gospel of the kingdom is also the gospel that Peter and the 11 preached.
The gospel of the kingdom is the “good news” that God would provide an earthly kingdom for His chosen people, the Jews. In fact, when Jesus Christ came to earth, the Jews had an opportunity to have this gospel be fulfilled. However, as the Bible tells us, the Jews rejected their king and thus rejected this gospel of the kingdom.
God knew that the Jews would reject this gospel and their king. As seen in the Book of Revelation, Jesus Christ will return to earth, defeat Satan and establish His kingdom on earth. This kingdom will start with Christ’s 1000 year reign on earth, which is known as the Millennial Kingdom.
Below are verses in which Jesus Christ refers to His “gospel of the kingdom,” and His kingdom.
Matthew 9:35 And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people.
This gospel was also known as the gospel of the kingdom of God as seen in Mark 1:14-15.
Mark 1:14-15 Now after that John was put in prison, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God, And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.
We see in the Book of Matthew, that Matthew refers to this gospel of the kingdom as the gospel of the kingdom of heaven.
We also see in Matthew 4:17 that Jesus Christ referred to His kingdom as the “kingdom of heaven,” and preached repentance for the “kingdom of heaven” is at hand.
Matthew 4:17 From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
We see in Matthew 10:5-8 where Jesus sent out His twelve, telling them to go preach, saying “The Kingdom of Heaven” is at hand.
      Matthew 10:5-8
5 These twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, saying, Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into any city of the Samaritans enter ye not:
6 But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
7 And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand.
8 Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.
Below, are verses that explain how that the Jews were saved by believing in Jesus Christ as the Son of God. These verses tell us that the Jews were saved by believing in, on, or through the name of Jesus.
John 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name.
John 2:23 Now when he was in Jerusalem at the passover, in the feast day, many believed in his name, when they saw the miracles which he did.
John 3:18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
John 20:31 But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.
The Gospel of the Grace of God
The gospel of the grace of God is the gospel of the death, burial and resurrection. God tells us of this gospel in I Corinthians 15:1-4. In this gospel we see that Jesus Christ died for our sins upon the cross, was buried and rose on the third day.
We are saved by our belief in the gospel of the grace of God. We believe that Jesus Christ died for our sins upon the cross, was buried and was resurrected three days later. God gave this “gospel of the grace of God” to the entire world when the Jews rejected the gospel of the kingdom when they stoned Stephen to death and thus rejected the gift of the Holy Spirit which was given to those who believed the gospel of the kingdom, as seen in Acts Chapter 7.
The word grace used as a doctrinal term is defined as “unmerited favor.” This means that we have done nothing to deserve God’s mercy. It is only through our belief in what Jesus Christ has done on our behalf that God promises us hope of salvation. This hope of salvation becomes “salvation realized” when we believe that Jesus Christ died on the cross for our sins, was buried and was resurrected - it is just that simple.
Jesus Christ only entrusted Paul to preach this gospel to us. Paul was given this gospel by divine revelation from Jesus Christ as seen in Galatians 1:12.
Galatians 1:12 For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.
Peter and the 11 were entrusted with the gospel of the kingdom, but only Paul was entrusted to preach the gospel of the grace of God. Below, we see where God tells us in I Corinthians 15:1-4 what is the “gospel of the grace of God.”
I Corinthians 15:1-4 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; by which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; and that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures.
Paul tells us in Acts 20:24 that he received his ministry to testify of the gospel of the grace of God, which he received from Jesus Christ.
Acts 20:24 But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God.

The size of one’s following, or the size of one’s budget, or the extent of one’s church campus, or the frenzy of one’s activities, or the height of one’s intellect… none of there things that he is known to God as belonging to Him, as one of His own sheep of His sons. Only that he truly hears the Word of God. My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. Jn.10:27 And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers. Jn.10;5. If JM says things that sound strange that means he is probably a stranger to the Lord and not to be followed. True believers are known by the Lord as only hearing His voice from Himself. Let Him in His Word speak to you directly for Himself and don’t follow men no matter their “performance” for the Lord. Leave them to His judgement.

The Bible (KJV1611) is very clear, its the blood of Jesus that saves. Without blood there is no remission of sins. New "Bibles" aka perversions take in alot of verses the blood out.
This is such a verse, in new "Bibles" the blood here is removed. ...
(Col 1:14) "In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:"
MacArthur already said some things in the past that were completly outrageous but I cant recall right now what it was. Anyways either he doesnt know what he is talking because the Bible is very clear on the subject of the blood or he does this on purpose (wolves in sheeps clothing. Like Billy Graham first getting a huge crowd who is following him and then trying to unite with the Pope and the Catholic church in the end).
Anyways some more verses about the importance of the blood ...
(Rom 3:25) "Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;"
(Rom 5:9) "Much more then, being now JUSTIFIED BY HIS BLOOD, we shall be saved from wrath through him."
Can I recommend the 4 part series by Spencer Smith to you ? "The Third Adam (AntiChrist / Worldleader)", it will be a blessing to you its very well made.

      4. The Latin Bible, translated by Jerome because Greek had fallen into disuse in the West. This Bible is well accepted and persistent, even to the present.

Don't forget, John also believes in limited atonement.......I truly hope and pray that you read this to the end. (This Calvinism, limited atonement) is a bad teaching that contradicts so many verses in the Bible. It's sad that some are teaching that the True and Living God of the Bible does not give man a choice. Clearly there are four kinds of "saved" people in the Bible. 1. The Chosen. 2 The Elect. 3. The Predestined. 4.Those That Will Come. Otherwise, you have to believe that Jesus was not being forthcoming when He clearly invites anyone and everyone to come to Him in the Gospel of John 7 vs 37-39 Now on the last day, the great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, “If anyone is thirsty, let him come to Me and drink. The one who believes in Me, as the Scripture said, ‘From his innermost being will flow rivers of living water”. But this He said in reference to the Spirit, whom those who believed in Him were to receive; for the Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus was not yet glorified. Also, in 2nd Peter 3 v 9 God could not be more clear when He says, "My desire is that none should perish but all come to REPENTANCE"! John Ch 5 v 39 Jesus says this. “You search the Scriptures, for in them you think you have eternal life; and these are they which testify of Me. BUT YOU ARE NOT WILLING to come to Me that you may have life”. Does that sound like we do not have a choice? Jesus makes it clear that they can choose Him but they clearly MAKE A CHOICE BY NOT BEING WILLING TO COME TO HIM! Matthew 23 v 37…Jesus says, “Jerusalem, Jerusalem, who neutralizes the prophets and stones those who are sent to her! How often I wanted to gather your children together, the way a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, and you were unwilling”. Sounds like they had a choice to me. Ezekiel 35 v 11...Say unto them: 'As I live, saith the Lord God, I have no pleasure in the demise of the wicked, but that the wicked turn from his way and live.
Also it says in Matthew Ch 22 vs 14 that "many are called but FEW ARE CHOSEN"! You have to leave out "tons" of scriptures and twist "tons" more to come to the conclusion that God does not give man a choice. Don't forget, since the beginning God has given man a choice. Anyone ever heard of Adam and Eve? How about Joshua? Joshua 24 v 15…Didn't he say, "choose you this day whom you will serve. As for me and my house, WE CHOOSE THE LORD”. I hope these next verses are the clinchers. John: Ch 8 vs 23-24, Jesus is speaking to the Pharisees that want to neutralize Him. Again now, Jesus said to them, “You are from beneath; I am from above. You are of this world; I am not of this world. Therefore I said to you that you will pass away in your sins; for if you do not believe that I am He, you will pass away in your sins.” Now, does that not convince you that Jesus truly believes that the evil Pharisees that are plotting to neutralize Him STILL CAN BE SAVED IF THEY WILL CHANGE THEIR MINDS AND START BELIEVING THAT HE IS THE SON OF GOD AND THE SAVIOR OF THE WORLD.

There is a passage II Corinthians 10:Verse 5 - 18. You need to read that carefully Dave.
You're getting into a pointless syntactic argument about human vs divine blood and symbolism with MacArthur here.
John actually does believe that the blood of Christ covered the debt of sins. He does however, have to remind blockheads like you that if Christ was human at the time, that it was actual physical human blood that was seeping out of him after the beating and crucifixion. Or do you think it was some divine power pretending to be blood coming out when the soldiers stabbed his side with a spear?
The Body that Jesus possessed at the time of his death was a 100% human body. That's all MacArthur was pointing out. Now, the spirit that was 'committed" in to the Father God's hands was the spirit of God himself since they are the same thing, but the body and the blood were actually human , physical blood. I think the people watching his death would've freaked out if the actual blood had been divine. But they didn't. It was business as usual, nothing abnormal at all. The Freaking out came from the veil of the temple being ripped in half, and the sky going dark for 3 hours or so....and the thousands of dead bodies doing the Michael Jackson "thriller dance" right after that. That was the after party.

Please take this up with John MacArthur privately. I’m sure he would be glad to speak with you. Let’s not do this pastor. You would rather have some question you privately and give proper opportunity to discuss.

MacArthur has taught and defended his position for 50 years. It’s public knowledge. Even his Calvinist buddies cringe at this one.

Even if you are correct, which you might be, is this the biblical way to call out a fellow believer caught in heresy or sin? What does Paul say about that? Should this be done on a public forum in front of those who need Christ, and witness our disunity? Even your title is self serving and designed to belittle another believer. This is never mentioned in scripture. There are many who respect John and their faith could be damaged because of your attack. Why publicly sow doubt? What is your real purpose for this?

John MacArthur has been challenged on this publicly and held to it so this is not a private matter (as it is a public teaching and has publicly been discussed/defended).
As for what would Paul say...
2 Tim 4:14 Alexander the coppersmith did me much evil: the Lord reward him according to his works:
(just one example of Paul calling someone out 'publicly').
And since MacArthur has been called out on it...
      Tit 3:10 A man that is an heretick after the first and second admonition reject;
      Just my initial thoughts.
