the question is... does God literally bleed? I can understand both sides of this debate.. Yes we want to accept the fact that Jersus shed His blood for our sins... but what do we mean by this?.. did any human.. actually go to the cross where Jesus was crucified.. and rub the blood from that cross onto their person?.. NO...!.. so this blood.. though it really happened and WAS shed.. Only symbolically gets applied to us.. No one really knows what happened to THAT cross after Jesus' death.. it is never mentioned.. if we cannot find it.. how can we literally take blood off of it?.. Next the question arises.. was it divine blood or human blood..?.. well.. that depends if one believes a being capable of immortality CAN shed literal blood.. Does God.. cry?.. there are Many postulations one can make regarding the attributes of God.. but can God bleed from a cut?.... we have to be realistic here.. both 100% God and 100% Man hung on that cross.. which part would really bleed?.. and another question... EVEN if it WAS human blood ..it was Jesus' blood who was also divine.. . would this blood not be both.. divine AND human?.. I think that Christ's "human".. blood would be considered technically as divine blood as well... by default.. since Jesus was God AND Man..

John McArthur is a calvinist preacher! Calvinism is a false gospel that is leading many, many people to separation from God! McArthur teaches many errors, not just about the blood! However, the fact that you are calling him out on this is of great importance for the furtherance of the Kingdom of God. Bless you much!

Jesus assumed human flesh and blood so that he could die for us. Divine blood does not exist. Your argument based on Acts20,28 is not convincing. The purchase by blood refers only to Jesus death on the cross, God did not purchase believers with divine blood in some other way except through the death of his son, who became a man. So the heresy is not with MacArthur!

I have listened to John MacArthur many times, we need to be careful to not falsely attack the man of God. I have never heard John say this.

The size of one’s following, or the size of one’s budget, or the extent of one’s church campus, or the frenzy of one’s activities, or the height of one’s intellect… none of there things that he is known to God as belonging to Him, as one of His own sheep of His sons. Only that he truly hears the Word of God. My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. Jn.10:27 And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers. Jn.10;5. If JM says things that sound strange that means he is probably a stranger to the Lord and not to be followed. True believers are known by the Lord as only hearing His voice from Himself. Let Him in His Word speak to you directly for Himself and don’t follow men no matter their “performance” for the Lord. Leave them to His judgement.

Few years ago I took effort to explain to Phil Johnson ( right hand man of MacArthur) this false imagination of John MacArthur concerning his denial of the divinity of the Lords blood and body, because I knew him since 1984 when I met him at Grace Church , but he simply brushed me of and blocked. To deny divinity of humanity of the Lord Jesus is very serious heresy which was condemned by Church Councils of the early Church. Paul in Gal 2:19-21 among the works of flesh numbers HERESIES also , which is overlooked by most of everybody who like to speak about sins of the flesh , so that people who practice proclamation of false teachings , also will not inherit kingdom of God.

Jesus Christ is truly Man and truly God and therefore, Jesus blood is truly divine and truly huMan. God bless us all.

Jesus Christ came into THEIR kingdom to reconcile fallen angels unto Himself. We are the fallen angels (ELOHIM) kept in DNA chains of darkness. If you do not confess being a fallen angel in Lucifer's kingdom, then you are an unbeliever. Unbeliever = those that claim to be made in the image of ELOHIM(gods). REPENT FALLEN ANGELS.

I remember how good he was back in the early 90s preaching at the old church building in Atlanta at his father’s church. I doubt Charles Stanley did anything to straighten out his theology letting him continue his apostasy!

You're getting into a pointless syntactic argument about human vs divine blood and symbolism with MacArthur here. John actually does believe that the blood of Christ covered the debt of sins. He does however, have to remind blockheads like you that if Christ was human at the time, that it was actual physical human blood that was seeping out of him after the beating and crucifixion. Or do you think it was some divine power pretending to be blood coming out when the soldiers stabbed his side with a spear? The Body that Jesus possessed at the time of his death was a 100% human body. That's all MacArthur was pointing out. Now, the spirit that was 'committed" in to the Father God's hands was the spirit of God himself since they are the same thing, but the body and the blood were actually human , physical blood. I think the people watching his death would've freaked out if the actual blood had been divine. But they didn't. It was business as usual, nothing abnormal at all. The Freaking out came from the veil of the temple being ripped in half, and the sky going dark for 3 hours or so....and the thousands of dead bodies doing the Michael Jackson "thriller dance" right after that. That was the after party.
