it's really cute that Vince and you found eachother. Still your sexuality is such a a big part of your identity, that I love that your talking about it publicly. Although my long term girlfriend and me are very open about our relationship she has never had a gay friend. I don't struggle with finding queer friends at all, but she has never had an asian friend or a queer friend. I try to introduce people to her but she just isn't interested... maybe one day she'll find people similar to herself and actually talk to them edit: omg I'm a Christian myself and have struggled with people "misunderstanding" what I mean with being a Christian, because he is still my saviour and loves everyone, regardless of sexuality since he literally made sexualities different on purpose!!

I hope your girlfriend can find people to relate to and lean on when she is ready. It definitely adds a level of difficulty to opening up as a gay Asian xD our culture is a lot about suppressing emotions and fitting in (at least from my experience). If she ever just wants to rant, please let her know my dms are open! I actually became friends with a lot of closeted gaysian just by chatting on instagram! I might not know everything, but I do know that it’s important to rant and talk it out! Keeping a journal (as if you are talking to yourself) is also a great option for introverts! Your case just prove that 'Love has no gender'. Even I have a girlfriend, I also don't label myself gay or something else. Coz I don't think there is a need for me to prove who am I.
Pro tip for finding gay/trans friends: be put in a psychward (s),OR go to an art school. Few places on earth are queerer than psychwards and art schools.... (Hmm i wonder why) But in general hanging around artists or just in general seeking out queer spaces that fit your interests (the gays and transgenders.... they're everywhere), the Internet is of course a great resource for finding these communities (irl or just online), sometimes it just takes a little extra digging🎉

Ah I should have elaborated. No, we stopped being friends for 3ish years (because I didn’t want to give him false hope and I didn’t see him in a romantic way). He dated other people and I did my own thing. We reconnected as friends later on for more than a year and got to know each other again, talked through a lot of things before starting dating. Now we’ve been together for almost 3 years, know ourselves and each other better than before. Hope this clears things up a bit better :)
Hi there! Gay is an umbrella term, lesbian is not. So I would not call myself a lesbian because I am dating a man but “gay women” can be used as a to describe all sapphic women (bi, pan, queer and lesbian too)! Everyone is different, please see 3:42 for my label & story. Just because I’m dating a man does not mean I’m not gay or experience any less same sex attraction. You can be single and gay, your sexuality is yours no matter if you’re dating or not. Hope this helps. :)
