Ukraine's children have suffered immeasurably since Vladimir Putin’s forces started the conflict, more than 100 days ago.
For those families who have stayed, the children live with the reality of war every day, under constant threat from Russian bombing.
We spoke to children who live in the Donbas area about what their lives are like - living on the front line.

@@JETJOOBOY No it absolutely has not. First of all the area of the DPR/LPR was much smaller, Russia has brought the war even to areas that never saw any of it in the past 8 years. Secondly, while there were some hostilities around the contact line before Russia's invasion, it was extremely limited in recent times and every year was quieter. Russia has caused so much suffering, my heart goes out to these children...

Apparently letting the children investigate exploded ordinance to get that all important footage was more important than stopping them potentially harming themselves. The juxtaposition of Paraic sitting there in his army helmet & bullet proof vest whilst speaking with Sasha in her shorts & tshirt definitely wasn’t lost on me.
Fair point in a way but they're there to report facts and that's what these kids were doing before journalists got there and will continue doing after they leave. Even if the adults around them have told them to keep away from these things children will be children.

@Ronin All the same they could’ve discouraged the kids & explained to them in simple ways what the dangers were rather than “getting the shot”. Just by showing off the booty collected was enough to get across the fact that kids are playing in and around dropped ordinance. Paraic felt so at risk he sat interviewing a kid whilst he was wear body armour; shame he didn’t pass on that same same risk and concern to the save the kids from hurting themselves.

These children are Russian. Nobody needs them in the west of Ukraine. At best, they will be tortured there, forcing them to forget their native language. For Ukrainians, these children and their parents are second-class people, whom they will use as a human shield against the advancing Russian troops.
The majority have been going to Russia which is probably far safer than western Ukraine.

I really hope that Shazza, her brothers, parents and all of her neighbours survive to come back to the place they call home.
I would like every person to have a close look at the standard and size of the average home that the village people live in. The average Middles Eastern and Ukrainian home would be just two to three rooms, where the people cook, relax and sleep.
The spacious luxury of our homes just does not compare to the minimal average Ukrainian and Eastern home. To every family that has a home they call their own, it does not matter about the size or amenities you have, its still home.
That's Sasha as in Sasha Baron Cohen. Middle Eastern homes are small? You have never been to Saudi Arabia or Oman apparently. They are like palaces there.
Ukraine homes are not that big but they all have a lot of land where they grow things keep animals. etc. In the West, they'd call it a farm. In Ukraine, it is a house. Plus, most city folks have a dacha in the countryside. Something not common in the West.
And they are free and clear. No tax, no mortgage, no insurance.

As a dual citizen of the top two wealthiest industrial countries on earth, just seeing how children and families live on other parts of the world like Ukraine gives me fresh perspective on the blessings I've been given. When this war is over I dream of adopting a child or two. xoxo
Ukraine is just as ( potentially) wealthy and it should be a 1st world country but its bad neighbors won't leave it alone. What about the children of the Donbas area, in East Ukraine, who along with the adult residence, since 2014, have been attacked by Ukraine, with Missiles and ground troops, killing over 15.000 people, many of them children. All because East Ukraine wanted autonomy, which was granted to them under the Minsk agreements of 2014-2015, but was ignored by Ukraine. Sadly the atrocities since 2014, inflicted by Ukraine, on the Donbas area, seemed to have been ignored.
As have the Palestinian, and Iraqi children...Sadly.

That's just a false narrative. First of all it is 14,000 and is mostly combatants, not civilians. A significant part of them also were on the Ukrainian side so it absolutely wasn't just Ukraine inflicting, war was felt on both sides. Russia was also fanning the conflict and providing the heavy weapons there. But the hostilities were very limited in recent years. I'm certain that Russia has killed many more civilians now than died overall combatants and civilians included during the War in Donbas. In fact I'm certain it's more than civilians and combatants that died there in total.

There is street in one of the cities in Donbas, where there are hundreds of pictures of children posted on the walls. All of these children were killed by attacks carried out by Ukraine military. It’s called the Alley of Angels. This information is from a friend who originates from Donbas, now living in this country, but still has family living in the Donbas area. Why don’t the MSM, ever mention the conflict that has been going on since 2014.

Y’all should support eachother first. Yemen is being bombarded by bombs from Saudi Arabia. Jordan has banned Palestinians trying to get into their country. The Gaza Strip is blockaded by Egypt and Israel. The UAE normalized it’s relations with Israel in 2020, so has Egypt, Jordan, Bahrain, Morocco, and Sudan. Supporting the US in the Syrian war (operation inherent resolve) is Jordan, Iraq, Lebanon, UAE, KSA. And non-combat support is Morocco, Qatar, Behrain, Somali, Oman, Tunisia.
