I'm in MN and haven't taken the boat out yet, but I did go catch some carp on the Minnesota River with my cousin back in March. That would be my favorite trip so far.
Great work Nathan as always. Beautiful baits. Best memory of 2024 is taking our high school students out Crappie fishing. Awesome to get kids in the outdoors, catch their first fish, build confidence, and see them outside of the school day. Rewarding to offer a fishing club in our high school.
Bro you know you’ve arrived at the pinnacle of UA-cam success when you’re fishing with Matt nicely done sir! I caught a genuine once in a lifetime fish a few weeks ago on the river I grew up fishing, a 27” resident brown trout. She was likely about 20 yrs old. I doubt I’ll ever replace her as PB. Just amazing I’m still buzzing from that catch. Great content here sir keep up the good work!
My best experiences fishing this year is when I had my bait dangle of a tree and I kept bouncing it off the water and a bass just came and jump out of the water for it that was the most exciting thing I've had this year so far and I'm dieing to go back on the boat. Love you man love the fishing and love the positively kept going!
Hey thanks so much for the support, that’s crazy, I’ve had that happen a few times over the years with stream trout eating my fly that is dangling over a tree, that must have been one hungry bass. Tight lines
Nothing I like more than to watch two of my favorite channels working together, this is the best guys, two of the guys I watch every week or when they post!!!!
Two of my favorite UA-camrs in the same video! Love it! Wow! Amazing fish on that lure. I knew it was going to get 'em. My favorite trips so far this year.... Everglades! I caught a beautiful Clown Knife Fish on the last day of my trip. They had eluded for 5 weeks. LOL. Caught it on an underspin.
Best experience in 2024 so far was when I took my 13 year old sister out fishing 2 weeks ago.. she really didn’t wanna go, after 25 minutes she started asking questions.. so I taught her how to reel, flip, and cast.. went to another spot after no luck and she caught a decent largemouth.. everyday she’s been asking to go fishing and now wants to get a setup!! 🙌 awesome experience. Great video by the way!
Drove up to my childhood home town last weekend in north Idaho, right next to the Canadian border. Still pretty early for us up here, but fished 5 bodies of water in one day. All lakes I fished as a kid with my Dad. The nostalgia was awesome. Pike are a recent addition to the ecosystem “last 10 years” They didn’t seem to be interested in the paddle tail, but how could they say no to a 9” walleye glide! Great video, I love both Your’ and Matt’s channels! Fish on!
Great video!! Favorite fishing adventure this year was the same location fishing almost the same way! Can’t wait for Minnesota musky to open! Keep casting!
Great video! My favorite fishing memory so far this year would be fishing local farm pond with my son and caught a decent largemouth bass and he caught his first on a giant glide bait so that was exciting.
Nice Video can't wait for the next Video, My best fishing memory had to have been the start of the week on Sunday me and the men in my church went fishing woke up at 2:30 and got ready for the drive and man walked through the woods it was long but worth it caught a nice 20 inch pre-spawn walleye broke my PB also caught my first whitebass man Praise God it was Fun
@@NASPELTZ yea I think I caught 3 walleye that day pretty nice ones 13, 14, and 20 also caught my pb sauger not too big but somewhere around 8-12 inches? And the white bass were pretty nice
As always great video. Couldn’t say my absolute favorite fishing trip of the year so far but I’ve had a few good days out trout fishing with multiple 20”+ sized ones.
That sounds like a great day on the water, I love that your teaching em how to fish, gotta warn em they might get addicted and spend all their money on gear haha
I just went fishing for the first time this year yesterday. I’m from MN, but go to school in Iowa and ended up getting skunked, but had a great time in amazing weather, excited to try more lakes down here!
So far my favorite outing of 2024 was on March 24th. I caught my personal best walleye and my buddy caught his boggest musky! Not quite as big as the skis you boated though, those were really nice fish!!!
Man, looks like y’all had a great time on the water. I bet I could get some largemouth on that glide bait. Much love and prayers from Northeast Florida. 🎣 One of my favorite times fishing this year was when I was trying out a new pond, wasn’t doing very well and figured I’d give it one more cast. I ended up catching an 8 pound largemouth. It definitely made for a memorable trip.
Holy smokes that’s a giant. I’ve still yet to ever catch an 8 pounder. Congrats on the big bass, it’s always the one last cast that does it haha. Sounds like a great trip. I hope you had a great week Keith and tight lines!
Great video. I follow NDYAKANGLER too. That river he fishes is super cool. My favorite trip so far this year was last Saturday. I got out with my friend Jim. Together we boated about 50 prespawn Crappies. Took home just a few for a meal. The swimbait looks great with nice action.
I love that stretch of river, I live a couple hours away but I get out there a couple times a year, actually caught my first Musky there years ago. So far this year musky have been tough, but I’ve been on the big pike grind. A few over 40 for the year already. Keep up the vids, cool to see you in my neck of the woods.
My favorite day so far of 2024 is on the st croix and both my sons caught there first sturgeon, and suckers and also a Moon eye. They both want to go back and sturgeon fish! Awesome video.
@AllThingsOstenso that’s the reason I love the river as well, one cast can be 10s of different species, I’ve caught flathead catfish at the same spot I’ve caught crappie, I had a day on the river I made 10 casts and caught 6 different species haha
Look good, feel good type of vid- lure looks fire and catches some monsters. Thoroughly enjoyed ripping some lips with you- learned how to catch some eyes on the river and you even put me on my first dogfish.
Haven’t gone fishing yet in 2024 but I hope to do so and try to catch any sort of fish that will bite I mostly fish down by Wabasha and I have caught some nice fish there
Hey brother, favorite trip this year was a walleye tournamet in green bay, we it was a 5 bag and our smallest was 21 and our biggest was 24 so we didn’t do too well, 49th out of 150 boats. Even though we didn’t do well it was an awesome experience and was super fun.
I bet it would, St.Clair is on a bucket list for me to fish. I’ve always wanted to try that lake out, my buddy Extreme Outdoorsman’s is always out there catching fish, I highly recommend his channel if you fish that lake. He makes some awesome content!
Haven’t been out in open water yet but I early in the year Ice fishing I was able to get the underwater camera on a huge school of gills. They wouldn’t eat but it was a cool experience none the less.
Not this year but last year I was in ND and fishing for Muskie on the river and I hooked into one and I tried to go over the post of the dock and he ripped the rod out of my hands and I dove in after it with everything in my pockets nothing lost or broken luckily but my buddy was on the dock with the net and scooped it up while I was still in the water and it ended up being my PB at 43” absolutely love you and ND vids! Tight lines
That is a wild story, I’m glad you landed the fish. A 43 is a great fish man, I can’t say I’ve dove into the water after a rod yet but I’m sure I will haha. Thanks for the support man and tight lines
Nice Muskies guys! I have yet to catch one myself but I am going try hard to catch one this year! I don't have any fish stories for this year yet, simply because the fishing season hasn't started in my area of New Brunswick, Canada but when it does, I've got some interesting new lures to try for those toothy predators ;)
@@NASPELTZ Thanks man! If/when I catch one, I'll be sure to post the video on my channel. In the meanwhile I have to drool over what you and others are catching lol
My favorite fishing trip of 2024 so far was about a month ago on one of my local rivers here in NE Ohio for Steelhead. I had been putting in some serious effort, and myself and the few other guys on the river weren't catching a thing. Just as I was thinking about giving up I thought "I'll just give it one more cast" and sure enough I hooked up on a very solid 29" fish that put up a great fight and took several minutes to land. Now if that kind of effort would pay off on my almost 3 year pursuit of a Muskie that would be incredible! But maybe I'm just not using the right bait... 😉
That is a crazy story man, steelhead are such a cool fish. Catching a big fish after putting in a lot of effort really pays off! I’m sure you’re gonna get one soon, it’s all about being at the right spot at the right time, maybe try some smaller presentations for musky,
@@NASPELTZ Yeah the last 2 years I've tried I downsized my baits and still haven't caught anything. The closest I came was last spring when I hooked one on a 5.5" jerkbait but he spit the hook after about 5 seconds with a big headshake. It was both exciting and supremely disappointing to have come that close to finally catching one. I got a pretty good look at him because he blew up about 10 feet away from the kayak. I would guess that fish was pushing 40" so not a giant but still a very solid Muskie.
@arrondentinger2086 a 40 incher is a giant in some lakes and a small one in others. I’d say it was a nice fish for sure, sucks you didn’t land em. The big ones always find a way to escape haha
I went fishing at a lake for the first time on my new boat and I didn’t catch anything but I kept my head up and ended up having a good time with my family out on the boat
My best fishing trip of 2024 was fishing the James River with my dad. I caught a pretty nice Northern. This was special because I was helping my dad land his fish and we were about to leave and my line was still in the water. When I reeled up my rod the monster pike was on. And that’s my first and best fishing trip of 2024
Favorite moment this year has either been catching my biggest pike ever through the ice (42” and 22 lbs 5 oz) or my biggest crappie ever (16.75” 2 lbs 10 oz)
I am 11 and go fishing every chance I get, my most fun trip of 2024 is my first crappie trip we have our own pond and about to stock walleye it would make my year if I get the lure.
By far my favorite day of 2024 so far is wadding on the Mississippi for smallies in the winter. I caught 26 smallies in 1.5 hrs with one being my new pb at 4.13oz. Cant wait for the next video to drop with that teaser at the end "muskie number 9 of the day" WOW

I am 11 and go fishing every chance I get, my most fun trip of 2024 is my first crappie trip we have our own pond and about to stock walleye it would make my year if I get the lure.
That is awesome, your gonna have a blast in that pond with the walleye
I would go through heaven and hell to get that back if I snagged it

By far my favorite day of 2024 so far is wadding on the Mississippi for smallies in the winter. I caught 26 smallies in 1.5 hrs with one being my new pb at 4.13oz. Cant wait for the next video to drop with that teaser at the end "muskie number 9 of the day" WOW
That is wild, that’s a lotta smallies. I’m glad you enjoyed and it should be a fun one!
