i think the last helpful hint came 20 seconds in about swimming backwards to keep tension in the lines. After that you should have just said....' keep pulling various lines till you get lucky and a wind gust catches it'.
The kite looks a bit under-inflated to me. How many PSI do you put in? Wind looked like 8-10 knots from how easy the kite flew up. Good job on the LW relaunch. Do you have any situations when the water get trapped behind leading edge making the kite to heavy to relaunch in LW?
Hi Terry, i put 10-11 psi. It was something beteen 6-9 knots. Yes, i have situations where the water is on the cloth and the LE but you van get it off when the kite is in the right position. The wind will push the water off, just keep presure on the steeringline on one side. I always manage to start, it is just a trick. Glenn
Have you tested top end on hydrofoil for your 9m Gong V2 kite? I am asking because I also have Gong strutless kites V1 and as I really like them in the low range but in the upper range for each size the leading edge folds during flight in gusts and the kites don't depower well enough making the windrange on a hydrofoil limited. Also I need to work on the technique that you showed in the video of the relaunch in LW (6-8 knots) as it happened to me more than once when the kite ended up with the trailing edge in water I was not able to reverse it and had to swim in.

I think if you had pulled on the center-lines starting at 0:11 you'd be flying a lot sooner... ;)
is reverse launching possible in deep water ..?
why not start backwards?

The V2 is much better, i know what you mean with v1. even in 20 knots it holds. On a twintip i was kiting in 30 knots without a problem
