I just bought a 2023 Polaris scrambler xp1000 S and I would agree with you it's the best AT I've ever driven. I'm 46 years old and I've been riding ATVs and ATC's since I was 13 years old. I've been through many ATVs over the years and I can tell you this scrambler and my Raptor 700 are 2 ATVs I will be keeping for a very very long time.

Hi ! great atv & great video, thanks Dirt Trax ! I actually own a Polaris Sportsman 1000 XP 2020, and it's really an awesome atv. my regrets on this machine is the big fuel consumption, the power steering a little bit too soft in speed, and the weight too heavy for me. I just bought a Yamaha Kodiak 700 eps SE 2022 and I really love this one ! the power is great, it's a lighter atv, it can make the job easily in trails even riding fast, the suspensions are not sporty but work great and it is not so hard like we can imagine for a working machine. ok it's not so smoth than the Sportsman, the eps is really harder and you can easily drop on 3 wheels if you turn too fast ! but you totally can ride it fast and enjoy ! the Ultramatic is just the best transmission ever, for the durability and for how is the response when you ride it (when you stop to push the throttle and let it go, the breaking process is perfect !) . the rear wet brake makes the job and I really appreciate to have independant front and rear brakes (+ the pedal which is all brakes). the consumption is only 8,9l/100km (13,5l/100km with the Sportsman 1000). and I feel more confident on the Kodiak because it's a little bit smaller atv, looks easier to move on it, less impressive size. I don't work with it, only leisure use. It's probably the greatest atv for working hard, but you can be sure that it can make it perfectly for leisure riding, even quite fast ! to resume all, is the Sportsman 1000 better ? YES, for sure in almost all categories of aspects. But the Kodiak seems to be better FOR ME... I hope you will appreciate my comment and it will help some persons in their choice. Hello from France Dirt Trax TV ! you are a very good channel !

Great review with pros and cons. I love this atv. I loved the Scrambler 1000 xps but the sportsman body style is more for me. I agree the piggybacks would be nice and should be included at this price regardless of the scrambler having them and being too similar. But none the less best and most beast trail machine out there right now.

I have the first generation of this bike with the walker Evans shocks and it is hands down the best ever!!! People always mention the width but I ride everywhere and me and my crew even times make our own trail and the width never has ever been an issue ever! So if you are worried about that then trust me its no issue at all. I live in Louisiana and we tend to make our own trails all the time and the only issue you'll face is deep water where I live. I solved that with a stealth snorkel kit and it goes through any and everything you can throw at it. Love it and its one of my greatest purchases ever. So the price may bother some but trust me its worth every penny if your really into riding atv's

I have a 22 and 23 canam xxc1000r my wife didnt like how fast she felt on the xxc (2022) so we bought the scrambler and she loves how wide and plush it is. I agree its a very nice machine but also love my 23 can am. We have the 22 and are going to trade it on either another scrambler 1000s or possibly the sportsman 1000 s. My thoughts were to get the sportsman to have the option for better mud protection, more storage. I have never ridden one but the different shocks is what im questioning. We arent going to be jumping it so need some opinions here. Is it worth it for what it offers with winch, storage and mud/water protection or just get another scrambler with better suspension. Real question would appreciate answers from people who have both or have ridden both for more than just a joy ride. Appreciate the help and opinions please.

I now have about 700 miles on this machine and it continues to deliver on my aggressive riding whether it be jumps, going over logs, through streams, grinding across gravel, rock crawling or hill climbing. It has yet to fail what I've asked of it in any way shape or form and it is completely stock. I do have a major beef though. Polaris has made this machine almost impossible to get clean. There are so many nooks, cranny's, holes and over laps that I easily spend an hour or more with the pressure washer trying to get all of the dirt and mud out of it. By comparison, I spend about 20 minutes with my YXZ 1000 SE XTR on the pressure washer and its done. A little SC1 and back to looking new, having 2000 miles on it, so into the garage it goes. Not the Sportsman 1000s. Spray, spray, spray and, another chunk of mud falls on the tires, spray some more, think your done? Haha, no...yet another chunk falls off on the other side, or you see that the a-arms look like you just got done riding cuz they have mud on them again! Where the hell did that come from?! Maybe I am too meticulous but I like to keep my machines looking good and I feel like the Sportsman S is fighting an uphill battle. How is it that Polaris made such an amazing machine and then made it a nightmare to take care of? :)

I was shocked to see a 2WD dyno read 42hp to the wheels for this XP1000s. I’m new to ATVs and this thing revs up and basically holds an RPM (7k about) but then engages the transmission either harder or ramps up the gearing. Anyway, poor guy got 1hp from a filter, slip-on and tune….and got moral support with, “well it’s probably heat soaked” lol.

“The greatest ATV ever made.” And I have zero interest in ever owning one. 55” width means I wouldn’t even be able to bring it on any of the state trails here in Southern NH. The $20,000 price tag literally makes me laugh out loud every time I walk by one at my local dealership - who is actually paying that for an ATV? I’m sure it’s an awesome machine if Polaris is sending you one to review in a video, but I have a hard time believing that this ATV is so much more fun on the trails than, say, a Yamaha Raptor, that it warrants spending another $10,000.
