Awesome!! There's nothing like sweat equity. In 1973, we bought a run-down trailer, fixed it, sold, bought an old house, fixed it, and sold it. We did that more than once. 😉 We retired to a 6 bedroom brick home in the mountains. More young people need to build a life instead of going into massive debt, buying a sparkling new beautiful house. Debt ruins more marriages than sweat ever did. Hard work, learning to do things yourself is priceless. Go build a life.❤
You guys have great taste - love the unique style you chose. I like your remodel better than any other ai have seen on UA-cam. What a talented man your spouse is…WOW!👏🏼
You two absolutely should start a business where you refurbish mobile homes and RVs !!! This home is absolutely stunning and your husband is phenomenally talented at building,! His workmanship is just fantastic and you have a great eye for decorating, color choices, in judging spatial relationships and how each object fits into the bigger picture of the room. You could use this video as an advertisement for your business . Just let me add, I want this kitchen! It's absolutely gorgeous and breathtaking and you two should be so incredibly proud of yourselves. I can't get over the finished product in comparison to the money that you actually spent .
Truly amazin. This is what we do in the Caribbean. We work and save and do room by room and don't owe anyone any money. No bank, no mortgage, debt free.
That's what I'm thinking about doing here in the USA too. Gonna buy .75 to 1 acre of land put one of these on it, and redo it room by room. I also want to tap a well and get a 5000 gallon rain water collector along with a solar panel setup so I don't have to rely on companies or municipal governments providing them for me at a cost.
God bless your determination and hard work! In 2015 I bought a wreck of a prairie ranch house; 864 sq. ft. 2 bedroom one bath with an attached 624 sq. ft. garage/shop on a 1/3 acre with a four car cement driveway. I paid $11,000, it was in poor shape having endured a 6 year period of vacancy. I’m in it for about $58,000 now - and people in my small West Texas city have been driving by to see for themselves why people are talking about my house. I changed the roof line, and added a high gabled 8’ x 23’ post and beam front porch that completely transformed the way my house looks. I’ve still got a lot of work to do, this summer I’m changing out all the old and highly damaged ceiling drywall for complete tongue and groove pine ceilings throughout the entire house. I’m in my ‘60’s and hope to complete the renovation in the next few years before I retire.
I've done ho me remodeling, kitchens, baths and all. It's a hair pulling task to take on. My former home was the house that Jack built and everything needed replacement, including the fireplace chimney and heating chimney, windows, doors, appliances, wall repair, gardening, electric and plumbing. I was in the home 17 years and it was an ongoing project through those years. When I left, all it needed was the driveway to be repaved. I have no idea how much it cost, but my best guess was $150,000. It is wonderful to see it finished for 6 months, before I had to move. I didn't get close to what I put into it, but my children saw that even a wreck like what we had, could turn out to be the most beautiful house on the block. You've done a fantastic job, and your husband is an artist in his craft. I love the window in the hall. Mobile home halls are dreadful. I've never lived in one, but have been in a few. You've turned it around on a budget. God bless you both in your lovely new home.
Years ago I bought a mobile home that had had a kitchen fire and I got it for less than $2,000. My fiance at the time was a contractor and was able to do all of the remodel work himself and it was my absolute favorite place that I've ever lived! And it did take a couple years to finish so I know exactly what it's like to live with buckets of drywall mud and buying hundred-dollar boxes of screws instead of a bunch of groceries! LOL your home is simply gorgeous you have such a wonderful sense of style I cannot wait to see more videos keep up the beautiful work and I can't wait to see the rest God bless
Kristina & Yadel, you guys did an amazing job remodeling y'alls 1970's mobile home!! Yadel does an excellent job with construction work & remodeling!! You guys should be extremely proud of all the hard work you guys have done & are still doing & of the beautiful home you two have made!! Wonderful job guys!! If Yadel got liscensed or whatever you have to do for construction, he could definitely start his own contruction company!! 😊❤

My spouse and I have been looking for a retirement home out in the country, but I'd rejected a number of properties because they had older model mobile homes on them that were so dated! My problem with mobile homes is that they absolutely look like mobile homes inside and outside. But if we could remodel a mobile home to look like this inside, I would go for it. Thanks for including the pricing--that can help us budget. I love the design as well---who designed this? If it was you, kudos--it has the perfect farmhouse esthetic. It's bright, it's clean and while updated and modern, still feels homey. Congratulations. Thanks for sharing this. I have all kinds of ideas swirling around in my head.
Unless you have someone who has skills, is honest and cares about the quality of work they do you could end up broke and broken hearted. Materials are so expensive-even recycled-and the only workers I found destroyed so much of my materials, didn’t properly seal anything windows included. Never again for me.
I am so impressed with what you did to make this your home. The trim work around your windows are beautiful!!! Your kitchen is a masterpiece. Everything is amazing. The window in the hall and the double doors are so unexpected but terrific. He is very talented with his building skills and insight with design. You found so many deals on building supplies that I'm sure God was involved in blessing you and giving you great insight on how to save money and finding deals. I'm ecstatic for you. Wonderful video to watch. What a talented hard worker your husband is.
I live in a 16x80 vaulted ceiling 1991 mobile home. It is on 5 acres. I was 61 when I bought it, paid cash after downsizing. It was a dump! I left a finished home that I updated and modernized cabin in the mountains. At first I thought what in the hell have I done. 4 yrs later....after doing updates, paint, wood blinds, painting cabinets, ceilings and putting in new light fixtures and a nice red wood burning stove with wooden blinds on windows. HOME. I still have to do the flooring and two cabin style ceiling fans and it will be complete. I was lucky, the home had new vinyl siding on it when I bought it but the shutters were white with mold on. I scrubbed them and painted them green and ohhhh my home looks brand new on the outside. No mortgage, just doing a little at a time. I also fenced in one acre of land for my chickens and turkeys and and acre and a half for the home and garden and my little dogs to run separate from the chickens and turkeys. Did I mention I am an almost 67 yr old female and did the fencing myself? Lol. As an after note: My family ridiculed me for my purchase and leaving a beautiful home in the N. Ga mountains. They aren't ridiculing me anymore. YOUR home is AMAZING!!!! What a team you two are. Your husband is a very very hard worker. If you are the designer ohhh my gosh...off the charts beautiful. God Bless you two and thank you for the awesome video.
My late husband spent his working life after Vietnam in the mobile home business from set up in the North Georgia Mountains to a 1000 unit Manufactured Home community near Atlanta, where he was the Maintenance Manager. I've seen some refurbished homes in that time, but this is a great job and such a labor of love. You really could do this as a business with people choosing a different life, scaling down, and homesteading. And yes, glory to God, and thank you for sharing this. Be blessed.
I am just blown away by you and your husband's amazing vision and talent in transforming a dilapidated mobile home into a lovely palace ! You are now my inspiration ! And that you did it debt free is a testament to frugal and wise planning. God bless you both !
Your husband is so much like mine when it comes to talent. My husband remodeled my mom's 1996 double wide that she left to me. Everyone says it looks like a brand new modular home. The work he does for us and others, I'm still amazed by his pure skills. He's a humble man, I hit the lottery with him and it look like you did too...😂❤
I’ve got a mobile home 22 yrs old in need of a serious makeover! Where would one start to find items to remake it back into a nice home update it ? I mean can we use normal things or does it gotta be mobile home parts,? I was told the sub flooring won’t hold up a heavy wall like we have in houses is this true?
Absolutely fabulous! Your husband is very talented, his work is just stunning......you both worked so hard on the home, and it shows in every inch of it. GREAT JOB!
Such a nice job! The design choices are excellent . I especially like the moldings. I know they are expensive but they really make a big difference in the finished look.
I love the hallway window, that was a brilliant idea. Also, I too found so many Facebook marketplace finds. I remodeled a whole house to be an Airbnb. Full kitchen Oak cabinets for 200. And furnished the whole house. A lot of really nice free stuff, as well as some paid for things. Like your project mine too was God guided Happy for you guys. I wish you all the love, peace, and joy
Wow! You guys did a wonderful job renovating this mobile home. I've been looking at new mobile homes and your renovated home looks better than many new manufactured homes. You could run a business fixing up old homes! I would buy one from you!

Only thing I would’ve done differently is not have that giant window in the shower lol. But hey now that you’ve done this if I were you I’d start doing this to other single wides and rent them out for 1500$ a month. You’d potentially make your money back in the first yr and it’d cash flow for yrs. Just imagine if you did one a yr for 5-10 yrs. Also for could easily turn them into college housing if you’re able to find one near a college town. That’s what I’m going to do with my home in 7 yrs. My house might bring in 2500-3000 a month and it’s the parents paying and on their credit so you don’t have to worry about hunting down and eviction. My uncle does this with two big houses and makes a decent passive income doing it.
