I don't have a period horror story but in my school you can't go to the toilet during lesson unless you have a toilet pass (which you can only get if u have a medical condition) but people kick down the doors during break and also the toilets aren't unisex, but boys and girls are in the SAME room and the walls (not around the cubiclrs lol) are glass so there's absolutely no privacy.
The thing is they know periods exist because on the (inside of the) door of the girls stalls there's a bag with pads and tampons

I have 2 stories, both of which are wholesome :)
    1. I was hella bleeding through my pants one day (I was in 5th grade at the time btw) and this teacher assistant walked up to me and whispered "hey, your bleeding through your pants. Do you want to tell the teacher?" She made sure to get me away from my group first so nobody heard. So she told the teacher, I went to the bathroom, then to the nurses office, then waited 15 minutes for my mom to bring new clothes :')
    2. Here's another story that happened like a week after the first story- Basically I changed my pad in the bathroom and walked out the stall to throw it away and wash my hands. Then, what I'm assuming a sixth grader looked like she was waiting at the sink. When I got there she looked at me and asked "first time?". I said that I was pretty new to it all, she told me I should probably check behind me in the mirror, I saw blood, and she helped me tie my jacket around my waist (I didn't know how to at the time). Then her friend walked in, she asked who I was, and she said "oh well I heard the rapper of.. you know. So I gave some advice" in the calmest tone ever😭 I just find it really comforting that a girl took time out of her day to help someone else she didn't even know.

At my school in 5th and 6th grade, we learn about puberty for two classes. They make it less awkward because people can bring snacks to share with the class. The split the boys and girls up, but they teach both classes the same things. The only thing they don't teach the boys is how to use menstrual products. Period education is important.

I dont have a period horror story but i just want to say that at my school (i dont go there anymore tho cuz i finished it before summer) during class our male teacher would only let girls go to the bathroom but not boys and when one of my male classmates asked "why do you let girls go but not us boys?" And he said "did they not teach you guys yet that girls bleed once a month and have to change their pads?" I really loved this teacher, too bad he died a month before summer break and we couldent say goodbye to him since he was in a coma, and im not kidding when i say that almost the whole class cried after hearing the news, we all loved him alot, he was really nice, he even called himself our "school father", i miss that guy, R.I.P. 😔

I am in high school but we have a girls box in the girls bathroom where there is extra panties (CLEAN) if we don't have any with us and we are on our periods. I think its really cool but the parties are clean and they have every size. When you take panties you have to keep them and you get to get a free candy/ice cream/ bag of chips at lunch if you buy some and put them in there. It might seem weird but I think it'd really cool. It helps us and the school save money for field trips and all of that. P.s your teacher sounds nice!

Even one time when class just started, like as we were entering the classroom, on my way in I asked him if I could go to the bathroom (because of my period, but I didn’t mention that) and he said sure. This makes me so thankfully for those PPE (preparing for puberty) classes they gave me in sixth grade because they also gave them to the boys. They didn’t divide us up by gender, we learnt what girls and boys go through and more schools need to be doing that because it teaches young students to be understanding of what the other sex goes through as well as your own. Thanks for coming to my TED talk y’all 😂❤

13:30 so I had symptoms of my period months before I got my first one. Every 3-5 weeks, I would get horrible stomach cramps but nothing else. My mom is the one who taught me that that is what happens usually before u get it. I had the worst cramps ever one day and also had a soccer game that day. I was legit rolling on the floor bc my stomach hurt so bad. My mom said I was just being dramatic and that all women go thru it and that I’d just have to deal with it. Long story short, I still had to play my soccer game and a little less then 2 months later, I got my first period

She is PMS-ing bad, having a very bad period, more than she usually does, and it's sending her body haywire, and sending her hormones raging enough to become an angry person.
She went to the doctor for help and her female doctor said, ''Don't worry about it, we all go through this. it is natural. Just let your body do its job and have your period and come back to me in two years' time'''....

My male chorus teacher in middle school had a rule that we couldn’t use the bathroom after the first ten minutes of class. One day I was on my period and I asked to go after the ten minutes and he says “no you should’ve gone earlier” I go up to him and I’m like “mr I’m on my period I need to use the bathroom” and he looks me dead in the eyes and goes “well who’s fault is that?” I was so mad so I say “my parents’ fault” and walk out. So,I have a pretty good school when it comes to periods! In my school, BOTH boys and girls(+) are taught about men AND women body parts (as well as that of other sexes) periods and all of that. Sure, a lot more schools do too, but something even better: we have a tampon/pad dispenser in every bathroom in the school (2 buildings, 5 floors all together, at least 2-3 bathrooms on each floor (1 bathroom consists of mens and women’s bathrooms right next to each other, although some kids accidentally go into the wrong one sometimes because the side of which each bathroom is on switches every floor) as well as some 1 stall bathrooms for everyone) It’s wonderful! The dispensing machines cost students no money, and it is in place for both HS and middle school.
Regarding that girl who was scared of opening a pad in the restroom, I’ve found something out that Sharon has said in this video. No one cares. Almost everyone in that bathroom has gone through the same thing. Also, peeing in the bathroom seems to be like a sin to some people. I was scared of doing both things too, but recently, I’ve taken realism into account. Everyone pees and (most) women bleed. It’s a part of life. If there is another poor soul in That bathroom who is waiting for someone else to pee or change out their preferred menstruation device, why not give them the chance to do so :)

Someone walked in and opened my stall as I was opening my pad. She went “Omg I’m so sorry” and then immediately closed the door.
This next one wasn’t at school, but it was 3 months ago in June. I had covid and I think that fucked up my system or something. I have heavy periods, but this time was extremely heavy. And what’s weird is that every time I have my period I get excruciating cramps. This time, I had no pain. It was heavy asf but I felt no pain. I was wearing shorts and when I stood up, I looked down and it was a literal bloodbath. Soaked my shorts, was covering the inside of my thighs, and was just going ham. The next month in July, my cramps were worse than usual (I was actually crying this time and I thought I was going to die). The thing is tho..the flow was light. Anyways, my period is back to normal

speaking of having to sit through 7 hours of school with a bloody pad, I don't usually have that problem because the pad I use whenever I'm doing sports or is out for a long time, suck up so much blood that it only shows a little bit of blood on the surface (I am a heavy bleeder). my mom probably brought that many pads when we moved to japan for this reason since the pads here don't hold that much blood. I'm not sure if there are pads that hold many amounts of blood like the ones that I have but I consider myself lucky that I do have them because having to feel bad blood on your arse for a long time sounds like torture.

one time I got my period towards the end of Science class. The bell would ring in like 3 minutes and everyone was already standing up waiting to leave and I was too embarrassed to ask to go because I knew she would say no (we have this first 10 last 10 rule where teachers can't let you go to the bathroom during the first 10 or last 10 minutes of class) and I'd have to say I had my period (as a trans guy) so I just left the class and thought nothing rlly of it since a couple other people left and she didn't bat an eye. I left with my friend because she also had her period and she was the one with pads, so we just made our way to the bathroom and then over to lunch since that was our next place to go but bell hadn't rung while we were in there. We were the first people to lunch and a teacher noticed, asked if we were from that certain teachers class, and called her up. She gave us 1 day of in school suspension. I confronted her to say that I had my period and I shouldn't have gotten suspended for that 3 minutes and she basically lectured me saying I could have just waited and 'held it in' (because we don't have enough time between lunch and Science to go to the bathroom without being late and getting detention). Turns out that same teacher made multiple racist and transphobic comments during class and still hasn't been talked to about it.

(There was a bathroom in the nurse's office) After I was done doing my business I washed my hands, then I saw BLOOD on my hands a I didn't have a cut or anything like that. I didn't know why or how there was blood on my hand and I didn't even think about "Oh, is that period blood on my hand?" because that happened at the END OF SECOND GRADEEEE!!!! My friend asked what was taking me so long through the door so I hurried up washing my hands. Then in the beginning of 3rd grade I got a reallyyyyyyyyyyyy bad stomach cramp (this was at home) and I was crying on the floor and took pain medicine and had a heating pad and stuff like that. soon after that i started my period so at school i never changed my pad because i knew i was the only one who had a period (btw my mom explained to me what a period is) but luckily i didnt bleed that much

The shower room did not have an exhaust fan, soon I realised the room ran out of oxygen as the steam was too much, I began to struggle to breathe, and I couldn't see anything for a moment going to faint. I freaked out, and immediately grabbed my towel and opened the door. I rushed out naked to my room. I slowly could breathe and see again. No one knew that happened.

But closer to the middle of the year we would find pads that wear used and some that weren’t on the ceiling. About a week after it started they called all the 5th and 6th grade girls to the library to talk to us about why we shouldn’t do that. But then it reversed to being a conversation about how they thought we were putting it in the ceiling because we didn’t know how to put them on correctly. Then girls start to collect their blood in cups then would pour it all over the toilets and the school didn’t even care.

I've been homeschooled for YEARS but after this summer I'm going into public highschool which is already scary as a whole but one of the things that's really scary for me is having a bad period horror story while I'm there so I've been bingeing this series to know what to watch out for and what could happen(I'm an overthinker)

In my school your NEVER EVER EVER EVER allowed to the bathroom during lessons, AND there are toilet teacher monitors and they literally wont let you in the bathroom twice during out of classes. Unless you like yk you tell them, except in british skls noone uses the toilets, like at all cuz like its like the diary of a wmpy kid cheese touch thing. So if u say u rlly need it, they r literally just gonna think u wanna touch up your lip gloss. So when you got your period, you gotta live with only changing your thing once! In school, and for people with heavy flow ik they r DYING

My first period story: Last night I was in my room watching videos about periods cause I was rlly curious about it, this morning I woke up and I felt and little bit of wetness on my WHITE bedsheets. I looked down and it was like kinda rlly light brown so I didn’t rlly think it was my period because I’ve had a few situations like this happen over the past few months. so to make sure I went to the bathroom and when I wiped there was a mix of bright red and brown blood on the toilet paper, so I put a little panty liner on just to see if it really was, then 30 minutes later the panty liner was full so I found a tampon and looked up her tutorial and put it in. (it was honestly rlly easy) I still haven’t told my mom yet but I’m gonna tell her tomorrow!

I feel so bad for these people in these stories, I’ve always had a ‘emergency kit’ in the front pocket of my bag. In that kit I have a bunch of pads and a few tampons just in case. I also have an extra pair of underwear in there but I also bring it in on days I’m not on. I keep it in there just in case I randomly come on and if someone else I know or just someone needs a pad or something.
