Great video, Sharon. I have a request. It might take longer for the request to be filled, but here it goes. Can you find out how many girls had problems or situations with their periods while attending religious schools? I am curious, because I had a problem with heavy periods at a Christian religious school (K-12). They would not allow me to go to the bathroom very often. They always made me wait, even during lunch or recess time. And I had to hide my pads in a hidden pocket in my sweater or my coat pocket during recess. I definitely was not going to tell them that I was on my period. Once they came after me to the bathroom door and talked to me through the locked door. Thank goodness they could not get in the private bathroom. Boy, was that a messy clean-up situation. They would not understand and would probably say that I had the devil in me or say that I was a distraction to the younger student. In any case, I had to miss alot of school that year. I wanna share my period story too! Ok so it was 2021, I was 11 and I was in year 6 (5th grade) and i was sitting in class and my back started to hurt. like really badly. i told my friend, who was sitting next to me, and she massaged my back. i already knew what a period was and how to deal with it because my mum had already told me. it was then break time and my back continued to hurt, so me and my friend (the one who massaged my back) left our friends so that we could go to the toilet. i went to the toilet and saw a brownish/reddish stain on my knickers. i told my friend and nearly had a mental break down because i had a swimming assessment that day, so i wouldnt be able to go. i went to my classroom and told my teachers (who were both female) and told them what happened. they gave me some pads and said that they were glad that i told them and that i didnt walk around school with no pads. its funny when i think about it now!🤣😂

I don’t think you can swim with a pad because like it said in the vid it will absorb the water so I would’ve probs asked for a tampon but that’s just me so yea

I got my first period during online school. I had paused my video, to go to the bathroom, saw blood, got a pad from my older sister’s stash, and went back to school. 🤣

Funny story, got my first period the day after watching turning red. I feel like it’s ironic lol. (Side Note im going to Florida literally tomorrow and I’m terrified because I might get my period and it would only be my second one 🥲)

My first period happened at my mums birthday dinner. My nan, pop, aunt, uncle and cousins were there. I felt nauseous so I went to the bathroom. My mum waited outside and boom- I got my period. I wasn’t on heavy flow so I just used toilet paper as a pad but when I told my mum she went over to my Aunty who gave me a pad. It was embarrassing because they weren’t super discrete about it.
Ooh! Looking forward to hearing some tea!! Here’s my period story: I was riding my bike when I took a little break of online learning when Covid was starting. I fell off my bike, went home early because I felt nauseous from bruising my arm and cutting it really bad on the blacktop trail. A little later I went to the bathroom and boom. I thought I had cut something that seeped into my shorts but nah. I fell on my stomach and arm while falling so idk if my body went in full panic mode and started but yeah. Crazy coincidence is that it was almost Easter so I got some chocolate 😌

U r lucky I got mine at school but I had nothing with me so my teacher to give me something then. My mom came and got me worst part I. Got it during I decide for me during the puberty part as well I was so embarrassed but I got ice cream and chocolate.

I got my first period 2 months ago, and honestly it was on photo day! 😂 I was so lucky though, that I was wearing concert blacks (black clothing) as we had a music photo. So even if I would’ve leaked no one would have known! I then found out about my period at home, told my mum, my mum gave me a high five, and congratulated me 😁

I got my period when I was nine at home. My mom taught me how to put on a pad. The next day it was PE and we had white uniform. I bled and my friends told me and we all went to the bathroom to clean some of the blood as we could. I was very thankful. I had to wear my sweater around my waist until I got home and took a shower. Here eight years later, we all help each other even if it’s through zoom

Not during spring break, but I have a story. A while ago I got back into my taekwondo classes after I stopped going for a more then a year because of covid and all that. I was nervous but excited the day I was going back but a little irritated, which made it more nerve racking, because I was on my period. It wasn’t that I just had a choice to not go, as so I usually do, but my mom signed me up to go back on a particular day, so there was no getting out of it. I should have worn a tampon other then just period underwear under my shorts and uniform. It was fun and exciting, ( I was a blue belt at this time btw) and I had forgotten a lot so we spent most of my time reviewing kicks, hand techniques, forms, etc. I remember at one point it has felt a little oddly “wet” down there, and we always sweat a lot (there is also no air circulation in there, but it’s not as bad as you might think) but it just felt a little off. But I didn’t think anything of it.
At one point during stretching we all had our legs spread out ( I was in the front, closest to the MALE instructor. ) I think for a minute I saw his eyes go near my direction and below, and seemed to stare, but I wasn’t sure and can’t confirm anything. I enjoyed it though, going back was fun.
When we got home me and my mom were arguing over how I hung my uniform up ( which is white btw, like completely ) and she took it down and tried to fold it back up. But she stopped and said “oh honey..” and stared. I didn’t know what it was until I saw and she said “you leaked..” I almost cried. She tried to comfort me and she bleached and washed it twice.

@@samirya803 Yeah, the thing is tho idk if he did or not, it also kinda looked like he was staring at his foot and I think it was that, also my uniform top had something I can only describe as a “skirt” below the belt so it did cover up, but I don’t know at all
He’s a great guy tho, funny, helpful, supportive and kind- I’m sure if he saw that he would have said something, I just don’t know if he did and I forgot to mention it while writing cause it got me paranoid- knowing him I think he’s pull me aside and say something quietly

here's mine except it was during summer break:
1) i went to bed one night with terrible cramps and ofc i had to be on vacation, but the next day, i spent it at universal studios and with CRAMPS i had to stand and walk around for 14 hours
2) it was time to go home and we took a plane and we had to leave early BUT i couldn't find anymore pads before we left for the airport so after 2 hours of flying...
this trip was just a disaster
So you had to sit in blood for 2 hours? No way 😐😶
@@stellamoore5375 the only time i got up was after the plane landed and it all just flooded down (mostly because it was only my 2nd time flying and i was scared)
@@shaylewis7725 Some airlines do carrying pads/tampons, you should have asked (unless you did and they didn’t have any)
I got mine at age 10. Had a hard time swallowing pain relievers so I stayed in pain. Big girl bra at age 7 (no trainers), period at 10. Wished I could've had my innocence a little longer 😪

One of my period stories:
One day I was watching Sharon’s period story videos then when I got up from my bed there was a puddle of blood under where I was sitting.
the fact about mother nature just coming round at the worst times, I got my first period while camping and then the year after while at school camp 😣
I´m not even kidding when I say I watched one of your period videos and a week or two later I got my first period.
So over this past spring break my family and I went to the beach and I was wearing my period swimsuit, well later on I started leaking blood down my leg. My mom told me and we grabbed my shorts I brought with me and a pad once I put my pad on I realized I already bleed through my shorts before a lot. I love my mom so so so much because she gave me her black cover up and about five minutes later it turns out she was leaking too. All I got to say is my mom is a life saver for letting me wear her cover up still:)
After my second period I made my dad have an emergency period bag in his car incase we were out somewhere and I started... little did I know this bag would actually come in handy for my friend and that my dad was the one who noticed the signs that my friend had started she is now my best friend and my dad still helps her by buying her supplies

I also want to share my period story! There was a Halloween party and my school and I was hanging out with my friends but I started getting cramps and cried because of the pain. I went to the bathroom and my friends calmed me down and I asked one of the teacher who was also my friend's mom, for a pad. It was so embarrassing😭
My very first period was on a Saturday and I took a shower and then watched some of Sharon's period related videos then went to the bathroom and boom LOL

it was in the summer holidays and i woke up with really bad cramps but i didn’t know it at the time. i went to the bathroom and realised i started, just for my mom to come in and tell me i had to go swimming that day. it was one of the most terrifying experiences of my life

When Sharon said the she’s heard kids that are like 7 or 8 or 9 got their periods I was like what? I thought you only get it from like 10 or 11 years old and or up. I didn’t get mine till like I was like 13 or 14 years old. Anyways love your videos Sharon!
Kids can get it at 8 or 9, but it’s less common to get it at that age

You really don’t need to wear any sort of protection if your in the water, since it has sum to do with pressure, unless you bleed an heavy amount and ofc it will start bleeding when you get up out of the water, but it’s usually not necessary to wear something in the water

My Period horror story!
i woke up and I had really bad cramps, i wasn't sure if if was my period but they were so bad i couldn't even move. I was rolling around in so much pain and then i felt this thick liquid in my underwear. It was horrible. I was left with a huge stain on my FAVOURITE pyjamas and had to wake my grandma up to ask her for a pad ;)

when i got my first period (i was 11, it was Jan 28 22) it was at school during theatre. i asked to use the restroom and i saw blood lol ! luckily it didn’t bleed through my pants (they were baggy sweats) and i was excited becsuse i had been waiting to get it. i literally wish i never got my period smh

I highly recommend period panties. I use modi bodi and they’re fantastic. I also use the nixit disc and it’s also amazing.
i remember this one time on my period right after i showered i sat in my towel on the bed for a couple minutes and when i got up i had a stain on the towel. then my dad comes and asks about it a few days later and is like “did you get makeup on your towel or something?” and i stared at him like (o^^o) to this day i have never told him it was a period stain. i’m 95% sure he still thinks it’s a makeup stain.
oh and on my most recent one earlier this march, i leaked on my bed (which is very rare knock on wood) and cleaned it up with paper towel. had to rinse my fav sweatpants in the sink and it was about a day before i could wear them again :”)

So, my first period was in fifth grade I went to the bathroom and then my friend joined me when I told her she went and got a pad thankfully I didn't leak the embarrassing thing was when I walked into the class MY CRUSH looked at me and said, "Are you ok I saw lily running to the bathroom!" I played it off by saying lily was weird for running but then when I sat down the teacher sat and her chair looked me dead in the eyes in said "Are you good got everything handled" IN FRONT OF THE WHOLE CLASS!
This is why I'm scared of using tampons, I will always use a pad.

Here’s my period story: I was 9 at the time. So I woke up and went to the the bathroom. I used the bathroom. Then when I went to flush I saw blood. I knew what a period was at the time. I went to tell my step mom. Then she told my dad and we quickly went to get some pads. After we did that, we went to church
Funny thing is I knew my dad for 1 year and a few months at that point

So I was like ill with chicken pox and on my period for context reasons. And I may or may not have slightly forgotten that the crampy feeling in my stomach was a period. I have heavy periods. Let’s just say those pj trousers are long gone.

I love watching these. So... I have a funny story when i got my second period. Just a casual day walked down to drop my bag off with my dad then went over to my great nans (she is blind and partly death). I went to the loo and boom, my worst nightmare. I started crying, i dont know if it was stress or just because ALL of my products were in my bag which i left with my dad. That week was a bad one, cramps and everything. Im on my period right now and this one was fine. That one was alot worst. This time i found out while i was changing for pe. Oh, and when you get the sympathy of grandparents over it all, like leave me alone because i could wanna die. Ily Sharon 💕♥💕 (hope u like my story)
Here is mine that happened yesterday:
So I was staying at a relative’s house and I was just head banging to phycosocial by slipknot. And yes I’m one of those weird metalhead girls. Well, I felt a tingling sensation down ... there. I had to pee. So I went to the bathroom, pulled down my pants , and saw blood. And I had no pads. I called in my relative and she gave me a pad. Shout out to my cousin for being much help at that time.😌
I went to an all girls' school, and a few days before they had a covid testing where they offered free pads to every girl. I brought it home to take to my mum, but a few weeks later I woke up and saw that blood had stained my white underwear. I knew what it was but it was really unexpected, and my parents were both at work. It was a school day, and I panicked and had to ask my friends what to do. My mum had never told me about it, but luckily school had prepared me for it.
I haven't gotten my first period yet but my mom thinks I will soon (I have a lot symptoms for my first one like moodiness, lower back pain, and stomach pains)
This isn't spring but at school we did our work and this boy dug through this girl's bag, found a pad, then he waved it around and said "what is this" and the girl was like "give it back I'm on my period " and some of the classroom was laughing. So embarrassing 😳
